Hey dave for the 7/4 part around 2:17 it is actually alternating between 3/4 and 4/4 not 7/4 and the 3/4 part you have at 2:40 continues the alternating 3/4 4/4 part it is just conducted in 3/4 for the mellos
Thanks for letting me know! Time signatures are always a guessing game and I do my best to follow the drum majors but I focus more on the music side of things
Great work and thank you!!! I think at 6:50 though it is supposed to be only trombones unison all in the same octave at first. The tubas come in a bit later.
When making videos through musescore, they don’t put the instrument names for some reason. I agree that it can be quite annoying. As for key signatures, I am not the best at determining keys and it just creates more confusion on my end in all honesty. As I get better at transcribing, I could try it out
Fantastic work! Being super picky here but I believe that the second to last mello run during the opening hit is a step or something higher than the previous ones. Could just be my ear though!
@@TeddyG221 that’s not at all what I’m saying. He wrote it correctly but Musescore’s instruments play with a slight delay somehow so it sounds out of time.
Personally I am not a fan of the brass in musescore 4 and I have been musescore 3 ever since I started and I think it does the job just fine. Just a personal preference
Classic representation of mechanical vs. musical. Incredible scoring here, but the musicianship of The Bluecoats breathes life into it.
Dude, youve been my favorite channel all season, never stop
Thank you that means a lot!
i absolutely love the opener of this show. one of my favorite oat
I really like the ballad.
Me too. The atmosphere of it is so magical. I love how sparse it is.
You sir are a legend for posting this and putting the transcriptions this year together. Here you go 👑
Videos like this really help me appreciate shows more. Thankyou
bro you carried this seasons transcriptions
Still got more to come
Wow!!
Lets be real yall are just here for 6:50
0:54 The 2nd to last trumpet run goes G - A flat - A (bar 33 to be more specific) This is still awesome keep it up!
That was a mistake he made at finals 😂 all other performances it was the same
Amazing work there!
Spot on.

Actually, if you listen very closely, you can hear pedal notes from the bass trombones. It's a little tricky to hear but they are there
Great work!!!
auto subscribe😁
Could you add key signatures and Instrument names? Great Transcription btw

@@DaveSmith_ I understand, could you just note the instruments in order, I would be very appreciative
Agreed. Would love to figure out if I could learn some of the trumpet parts
Just put a list in the description. Let me know if that format works
@@DaveSmith_Thank you, I wasn't sure with the low brass
insane work bro! literally no errors.
There’s one or two rhythmic errors but notes are pretty spot on
5:12 The measure with the septuplet run upwards isn’t counted right, that only come s out as a 3/4 measure
8:07 was starting to get fire
LETS GO
Can’t wait for devils
I’m at the ballad right now!
In the trombone part there not tuba tuba just comes in for the bops nothing else
Can you transcribe phantom’s full show??
I’ll get to it eventually
@@DaveSmith_ awesome!

@@davehaze7080wow you’re totally right I can’t believe I missed that. Luckily thats a pretty minor mistake
Bro transcribed the whole thing 😭
why does the bump sound more in time in person than on a music writing program???
cause Mr. Smith doesn't have the exact sheet music so its mostly guessing?

@@booker9816 The finals performance literally sounds like quintuplet swing lol.
@DaveSmith_ is there any way for someone to get a mscz file for this or a pdf?
Check out my account on musescore and see if you can download a pdf on there
What does the Full arrow up for trombone mean?
I love you so much you dont even know
Any reason why you are not using musescore 4 playback?

@@DaveSmith_ also has MDL… (I know you’re not a drumline person but as a drumline tech it’s annoying)
A chapel
You did a great job getting all this down 😮💨 but imo bluecoats’ music this year was just not it at all for me
trombone solo transcriptions were all way off. every single one
