@jess.3053 When was piece of music played in previous BD shows? I am familiar with every BD show, and I don't recall hearing that.

@@jess.3053 every corps has their own style. BD sounds like BD in the same way Crown sounds like Crown and the Bluecoats sound like the Bluecoats

SCV definitely has my favorite opener this year. It’s simple but it hits HARD
Hey man I know it’s the start of the 2024 season so you’re working on that. If I were in your spot, that’s what I would be doing to But, whenever this season is done and you transcribe everything, do you think you could do Bluecoats 2017 transcription?

The trumpet one part could literally be an Allen Vizzutti solo. Now imagine a whole ensemble playing this exactly at the same time 😮
I'm assuming a lot of those articulation choices are training wheels till they can clean it up more, cause man the quarter note pulses are not it.
its actually slur 2 tongue 2. that's probably the main reason its so tough to keep in time at the moment.

Pretty accurate! There was a trumpet that did go up to a high D on the last chord, it is a little tricky to hear tho

@@DaveSmith_It's all good. Sometimes you can tell its an actual note bc they will kind of grace note their way up to it. You can here for a split second they play a C before going up the the D
But during this feature, the trumpets 2, 3, mellophone 2, etc... don't play or they play with the first part ?

They have the 2nd and 3rd parts for the chords at the end. I’m assuming everyone plays the technical part

watching this really puts into perspective how hard this show actually is, musically its hard to tell how weird some of the chords are tune, or how hard the mechanical parts of the music is without actually seeing it, especially considering how often the electronics play over the horns in the recordings; the sound balance on the recordings is really bad
