You’re the greatest. Thank you so much. I changed all the picture settings and tried everything you said. Still nothing. Then I changed my brightness-50 and contrast-35. Your precise numbers.
My approximately 12 year old Samsung is flickering during certain movies and programs, and with those movies and programs it does it every time I watch them, about every 20 seconds or so. With the majority of content it is OK, and the flickering programs have only appeared on Amazon Prime, Max, and Hulu. Is this just the old TV ready to die, or is it something to do with the programs and channels? Thanks for providing this video! It helped me eliminate some possible causes of the error.
Not here to bash but if i cant see my screen how do i see these settings? Its flickering about every 5 seconds from dark black to a kind of black with tv light behind it
Plug off tv did work 🤯, but i dont know why the flickering was just on sat 📡 tv , i was worry and thinking if was a problem of turner because i was test also the same channels through the app Samsung and doesn't have flickering 🤔 while in turner sat flickering, which was the problem? Anyways thanks you
None of these are working for me is flickering blue then black so I can’t get to a menu I unplugged the hdmi cords and will leave it off for a few minutes
Who knew by unplugging the TV to stop flickering. See if it happens again. It had been driving me nuts. I did a speed test on fibe internet it was fast thinking it was that. Well thank you
I came to the comments so I wouldn't have to watch the whole video (was hoping someone made it into a list lol) and I saw yours so I tried it and it worked !! I can't believe it was that simple lol I think my gf probably just didn't try that bc our plug is hard to get to🤣
My TV which is about 6 years old is flickering on both HDMI channels. So on TiVo and my DVD player the screen is flickering, and it’s only really at the bottom of the screen. I’ll try these steps but I fear the TV is on the blink.
So my samsung tv qled9 flickers a white flash of light when OFF. What is that about? Its mostly a white flash in the middle at the bottom it only does this when I trun it off from the remote and it sits with a black screen for a bit
Could be a sign that the backlights are failing or there is a short circuit somewhere, but I wouldn't worry about it unless anything else happens. (I probably would unplug the TV from the wall overnight though, just in case).
If you're using a streaming stick over HDMI it could be some kind of conflict there. If you're using apps installed on the TV itself then try uninstalling/reinstalling them or updating firmware or factory reset.
If it's flickering too strongly to try anything else, then you'll have to jump straight to looking at the internal components. I would start with the T-Con's connection.

Mine flickers on certain apps or movies but never on any part of the screen displaying static pictures

My Netflix abd BBC apps were just flickering. Everything else was fine. Unplugging/replugging worked 😳😁

MAN KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT TVs
Well outside of rebooting how can I do any other those steps if it's flickering
