The Haworth Fern is the chair I sit in everyday, and Halo is my favorite game series of all time. So when Haworth said they were dropping a gaming chair that featured the Halo Series I was pumped. Let's see how this gaming chair stacks up against my normal office chair.

What I can appreciate about this chair is that it's an office chair that became a gaming chair. So we don't have to deal with all the drawbacks that a normal gaming chair would have.

At a guess, the motivation behind this was to associate the fern with 'gaming chair' searches. They can make a product in low quantity that's great for a small number of people, and advertise their top end chair to the gaming market who are probably looking for that exact thing, even if they don't know it.

Fully agree. I bought my Fern last year to replace my bucket gaming chair and I absolutely love it. It took a lot of research to stumble upon it though and it seams this Halo edition is only meant to increase their exposre in the market for those looking to replace their gaming chairs. The Fern is the GOAT and this colab will allow more people find it.

Just received my fern yesterday. Went with digital knit, and did opt for the headrest. I’m 5’6 and I can get it in that sweet spot for lounging which I like. Something I recommend if anyone is looking to buy a custom fern is do a bit of a deep dive into the seat fabrics. I went with something called Big Diagonal and it’s fantastic. Great color, very comfortable and not too soft. The material makes me think of super fine sweat pants fabric, it’s great so far!

Bought one, then returned it. Headrest is hard, doesn't lean back far, so you can't relax when ur just watching videos, if you have wide shoulders the chair will hurt them when leaning back for an extended period of time. The arm rests were great other then they don't lock. So they will move on u put a little to much pressure on them. For 12 to 1500 not worth it. Customer support wasn't to bad though via email. Good luck getting ahold of them on the phone.

I am so annoyed because I can not find a chair that I can genuinely pull the card out for. I am 18 6 2 to 6 3ish and a couple days ago I was going to purchase the fern due to the sale however i missed the sale by 6 hours due to my new credit card not coming in on time. I am looking for a chair around 800 dollars absolute max would be 900 if I am completely sold on the chair. I currently have the Autonomous Myochair and can tell that the quality is terrible but it lasted about 2 years so not too bad. One of the main things im worried about is the chair not fitting my height and with my myochair the headrest really solidifies the height of the chair even tho my shoulders hang over the back seat. If there is a video that yall have made for taller people with regards to chairs that yall recommend that would be extremely helpful or naming your top 3 picks for taller people around 8-900$.

Mate, your reviews are awesome. I just wish you were in Aus and did reviews on chairs available in Aus market. Had been to office works yesterday to check Haworth chairs. The zody is simply not an option as its definitely not upright enough for me in normal seating position. I liked the fern over Soji for its comfort, but the Soji gave the best upright position among fern and soji with fern coming almost perfect upright but i felt its still not there but the back rest was twice as good. Even with the lumbar support removed the sojis back rest simply didnt fit my back well. I dont know if its just me, but upright just helps me think better. I just wish the fern didnt have that play in neutral positon when leaning back and it would have been perfect. So much confusion deciding.
