Been using one of these at the office for going on 5 years now, i'm built like a Nissan cube and it's been comfortable throughout it's lifecycle so far, never felt like i bottomed out the seat padding to an uncomfortable degree or felt like my shoulders were rubbing against the edges. Definitely recommended for box shaped humanoids.
I'm 6'1 and 215 lbs. The seat does bottom out sometimes but even then it isn't that bad. The rest of the features more than make up for this one gripe of mine. Also, I haven't noticed the issue you stated about leaning back. I do have it at the highest possible tension and I've got a good bit percentage of my weight in my legs rather than just my torso.

The backrest fabric only feels rough/scratchy on the frame edges. Sitting in it shirtless actually feels great, not super scratchy like I was worried about. The seat foam feels firmer than shown here. I can't bottom it out with my hands and for my build (5'9", 180lb) the firmness is so perfect I felt instant relief and support on my legs and back. Like sitting on a cloud. Hope this helps anyone still looking for a great budget, but not cheap feeling, chair.

I like the chair it’s a great choice but my lower back with the lumbar is a little uncomfortable probably from the lumbar being more aggressive and I’m not that used to having aggressive lumbar, though very good chair I would recommend for its price
Ahnest question, what do you think of the issue of exploding chairs as seen in Brew's recent video? How can I be assured my gas cylinder is safe? Had it for less than a year and it already occasionally sinks right down to the bottom, (but raises back up when i use the lift lever) and I'm afraid it's faulty and could explode.
I'm trying to decide between Branch Ergonomic and the Haworth Soji. What do you recommend? Was debating between those, just ordered a Soji. With the current Haworth sale the price was the same for a fully loaded Soji. The curve on the backrest of the Vera makes me think it's not as great for upright seating. Also a made in China product vs a US company, Soji just seemed like the better option. I wanted to try forward tilt to see if I like it and this was the cheapest option for it.
Hm, I don't have the regular leap on me...only the extra padded leap cushion from Crandall Office. I think Steelcase's general criticism is that they don't offer enough padding (except the Amia...drool...padding so good...). I like the Soji's seat a lot though!
I noticed you have a very custom color setup with the white frame and polished aluminum base, but it still made me wanna try it out. I guess the reviewing process got more mature. Thank you for the many vids and time
Hey! I think it was tricky bc I didn’t have a lot of context for what to expect in a chair at this price point. When comparing to a lot of solid options around $200-300, I realize how good the soji is. It may be almost double the price, BUT, you’re getting 2-4x the warranty with proven customer service. Why is this the only Haworth that isn't available in the UK :(
how is the seat on this compaired to like the leap v2 i just got a leap v2 and dont like it there isnt enough cushion for my butt.
Hm, I don't have the regular leap on me...only the extra padded leap cushion from Crandall Office. I think Steelcase's general criticism is that they don't offer enough padding (except the Amia...drool...padding so good...). I like the Soji's seat a lot though!
My poop stained aeron is fallig apart. I think I might buy one of these.
LOL i want to say nice, but...poop stained aeron...not nice
I'm not even going to ask how your Aeron got those stains, lol.
Does anyone know what color option this is? It looks like juniper but a little too blue? Idk maybe the lighting
Hey! it’s the Ocean colorway! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my links! Helps the channel a LOT!
I noticed you have a very custom color setup with the white frame and polished aluminum base, but it still made me wanna try it out. Currently sitting in the standard juniper colorway, and even though the grey is not as pretty as the white trim, it's still an overall great chair. So thanks for the suggestion!
Tried to support, but sadly your links are not working (both mobile and PC)
@@iaredrewidichuh, that’s weird! Are you in the USA and do you use a vpn or ad blocker?
@@Ahnestly Good call and found it! I'm in the USA, no vpn, but router security blocked the link and classified it as "spam". Link works once I'm off the Wi-Fi. I guess pxf links have been flagged by TP-Link :(
I want the SOJI! why cant i order it?? EU netherlands HELP ME (crying)
Zody or Soji? I can’t decide. Can anyone help who has sat in both?
Zody if you need the fancy perch. Soji otherwise imho. For me, soji and fern are my choices!
This or the Amia?
Amia. Please consider using my link if you decide to pick up! I saw your other comment...is it worth $350 more? No. Is it more comfortable? Yes, I believe so!
do you have a link to your old eames replica review video? I think you made it private but I would really love to watch it again as I am thinking of purchasing one
the video is no longer available
Your assistant, NOT your friend. OUCH! 🤣
I really don't understand what the "fantastic" in the title is for... watching your other reviews that are more recent, I thought from the title that this chair would vividly be a better option, however, other than this chair really not being that special considering the price range, the video has less detail and less focus on some features compared to the more recent ones.
It’s a really really good chair!!
Review was perfect except u missed the 1 thing every reviewer misses. Skin contact.
Many of us sit shirtless at times. How does mesh feel on bare skin?
Thanks.
bro tore his acl from reviewing to many office chairs
Great review!
Thank you!!
Looks like a steelcase
lol
No headrest no buy.
Makes sense
Imagine commenting the same thing on another soji review video
@@failed_cause ok, creep.
It's design is pretty boring 😒
Rather buy the Herman Miller Sayl over this 🤷♂
I hear ya on design! But $400 cheaper than the Sayl!
@@Ahnestly That's a huge difference, over here the Soji would cost the same as a brand new Sayl.
How does the comfort compare between the Haworth Soji vs. Herman Miller Sayl for someone who is 6'1" ?
