Dan! I'm so glad I come make it up to your claims and grab a sample! I had a great trip and it was so great to finally meet and get together for a video. Looking forward to having you come down and run those bags through our turnkey ore processing system and smelting out the concentrates to see what kind of values you have! See you all again soon!
Nice. Being German i was at Rammelsberg last year, one of the most prolific heavy metal mines in human history, now a museum. They have banded ore samples the size of boulders on display. No wonder that mine ran for a thousand years....seeing the size of your vein makes me really realize the significance of these gigantic ore pieces....
With all the crap is going on in the world.. I’m sure glad you’re here.. your channel keeps me seeing there’s much more positive things to look at.. enjoying your day makes me happy…
After enlightenment my thoughts were no more. No longer did I hear that voice of condescendence, of judgement. And that was the greatest relief of all. You are enlightened. You are integrated and complete. You are just having fun remembering this. And there are so many ways to have fun!
I've been watching you both separately for some time. What a treat to see you together! That was so much fun. Thank you for answering a question I've had. Why doesn't Dan have more equipment and gold recovery where he digs? Ah, because he's a prospector! Perfect. Thrill of the search and discovery (and perhaps a profit from leasing). Seems so obvious now. Wish you much success Dan and looking forward to more adventures.
Dan, as always, your positive demeanor is incredibly powerful! Thank you so much for sharing your life with us. Your excitement makes me wish I could be in one of your videos. I know nothing of prospecting and little of mineralogy or geology, but I do know that I get excited to see you so excited. Keep Well Sir!
Oh goodness guys, you have really given me the mining fever! That was amazing seeing the seems and rock specimens, especially the Moly specimen. That was gorgeous! I also really enjoyed the landscape view. Love watching your videos and findings Dan.
I wonder if molydudium can leach into quartz creating a blue quartz crystal, though it is broken crystal point it is worn but but clear blue crystal. Found in old mag and zinc, iron mine. The mine is older than mine records, said near there or that very mine produced near 3,800 $ in gold, pre '49er's. It was abandoned.
Been watching many of Jason's videos the last few months. Even though I'm not so much into his geological side of things or smelting to recover gold, he is nonetheless a very smart informative man. So it's great that the two of you have teamed up!
There you get Silver, make pure Gold to one 20k more for jewellery. I would me inserting what give it on gold pro cubic meter in troy ounce? Yes, I am German how measure in metric.
Meh. A collab, yes, but from Dan's channel. If it was the other way around , we'd have Brent's monologues and Dan would not be able to place a word. Look at this video. They are having real conversations, adding educated commentaries, and working equally. Noone trying to steal the spotlight.
I like Brent. He's got enthusiasm and passion for his project. But his channel has turned into this giant infomercial and it's just gotten borderline distasteful. *Edited Brett into Brent. Autocorrect issue.
Jason has a great channel. I love the full process he does. Jaw Crushing, Hammer mill pulverizing, shaker table and smelting. You can learn a lot from him.
Love the channel! wish i could just spend a day near the beautiful river! the true treasure is the land you own ! worth more than any gold nugget youll ever find!
as someone that's spent a good portion of my life working with stainless steel, It's really neat to see molybdenum in it's native state. keep up the good work!
As an electrician i have several of those Milwaukee hammer drills they are great for what your doing for sure and they last a while after being beat up..thanks Dan cant wait for the next vid with all gold action
I have watched Jason's channel he really shows the science and viability of ore recovery. I recommend highly a watch. Don't be surprised it has math, chemistry, physics, and Iron age techniques all throughout the vids.
Very awesome Dan!!! I’m in North Carolina in the foothills, and Have found molybdenite flakes in Quartz rock in the creek. It it’s very soft and smears like grease, not like any mica… I did research and discovered it was molybdenite crystals. I also have found flakes of gold, garnet, rutile, corundum, Feldspar, and tourmaline in the stream. It has 5 springs that begin downstream on the property within 100 feet of each other, after the main spring below the hillside. The open pit, was estimated to be dug back in the hillside in the 1800s… along with that, found a small pack mule shoe, that fits in my hand pit. It opens up into a bulb shape into the hillside. No water ever flows through this when it rains …A friend that was the erosion specialist and forestry specialist check this and he said it was definitely man-made. It’s Not on any maps. I’ve searched deep and nothing is showing this old open pit mine. I Found a geologic map, and there was a small fault zone several miles long, ending real close to this property. This probably explains all the mineralization , and all the high flowing Springs… in close proximity. They are on Opposite sides of the deep valley! After Seeing this… I guess molybdenite is a good mineral , to be found with gold. There’s mineralized Quartz all over the property, in around the pit and in the stream.
just so you know I haven’t watched one of your videos that I didn’t like. Great content on all fronts! Educational, relatable, useful tips, not over the top, just great! Keep doing a wonderful job! Thanks again!
@Dan Hurd TIP: Quartz is Petrified Tree Sap... Yes VERY OLD Tree Sap that has turned to rock aka quartz. TIP #2: If you look at the seams in the rock and the surfaces, you will start to see that the rock is Petrified Old GIANT Tree Wood.. I promise you I know what I am speaking. It is truth and knowing this will help you find the GOLD...
Hey Dan , I’m an inventor (Tinkerer) Dan you may try taking a large bass speaker with rad thumping bass music. Use sound to help split your placer rock samples along with your hammer. Reasoning of this is you’ve probably seen thumping bass make glass wave with sound waves…. That’s the thinking
You two sure are fun to watch together. I hope it turns out the gold content is very high. I know the chance is low but I also hope you decide not to sell and instead collaborate with him to have a large mining operation of your own!
Great episode, Dan! It looks like Ireland out there, it's so green! Thanks for the vid, but I was really hoping to see what you got! Jason was really good out there; he could be a regular! ✌️❤️🙂🇨🇦
Amazes me that somewhere in those rocks is gold you can't really see until crushed and separated. Quartz I am accustomed to seeing but when I look at these iron rocks with mixed colors it really takes an educated mind to have hope of seeing any gold. Way to go guys, let us know how it comes out.
Really good episode guys. If I wasnt 12thousand miles away down Under I would have sworn that ore came out of a little deposit I prospected a couple yrs back. The reddy brown boxwork ore at about 12.10 was a dead ringer for the better stuff I picked up on the collar of the shaft. I love the american guy using metric units of weight and the canadian using imperial units. LOL🤣
Wow Dan you were a gentleman to this man you were with. You made him fell the smarter of you 2. But clearly you knew and know everything that was going on with those minerals.
Dan, your videos are awesome! great characters, educational, and outdoor fun. I could of watch a couple more hours. today makes me want tant to start looking up more info on moly, sulfides, iron ore and gold.
Dan this is Mike from Texas,I enjoy watching your videos and getting a lot of useful information, keep up the good work . Still learning before I head out to try on own.
Every time I watch one of your videos, and you say "I hope to earn your subscription today!" I always have to double check to make sure I'm subscribed even though I've been subscribed for a few months now. Your energy and enthusiasm is contagious! Keep up the awesome and fun videos!
Hi Dan, Whatever happens after your first assay, please don't let go of that claim ! Even if it's not Gold rich on the face of it, as you stated "there's 3 levels of it" so far....! At the least you have ton's of specimen grade ore. With all the galena, moly, possibly silver and more in sulfides. The sales would fill your pockets and your bank account too ! Even better than OPS claim. Great video, as always !
@@joalyincontroly4379 He also did a bunch of collaboration with with Brent at Cerro Gordo silver mine recently that lead (no pun intended) to some really good video and some really cool results.
Awesome video here Dan especially you having Jason from MBMM at a hard rock mine. Jason from MBMM has some very nice setups in some of his videos. Definitely like the big rock crushers and conveyors setup he has going from each stage towards the shaker table and screw driven conveyor for really extra fine material. Lol.
At 10:33 the material colour is called "gley". That is the clay with no ions attached. What has happened is all the oxidation has happened and iron has been made mobile and leeched from the soil. It's not pre oxidation, it's post oxidation.
Hello. I been watching your channel for the past couple of days. Today I noticed that you said you have a problem with tics. If you carry a small bottle of baby oil, you can easily get the tics off without losing the head. All you got to do is fill the lid and cap the tic with the baby oil and it will pull its own head out of your skin and it will not hurt. Just give it about 5 minutes under the lid. Tip the lid over and the tic will be in the lid. Just dispose by throwing the tic down. A tic has 2 air holes. That's how they breath and can still breath while burring its head in the skin of their victims. Pass this on. And those pack rats, If you want to get rid of them without handling them. Feed them some baker's yeast. They love it.
Thank you, Dan and Jason! There be GOLD in them there hills! All you gotta do is tear them apart. Good luck with the assay! Didn't Jason just recently do some assay work for Jeff Williams too? Remember, be a smart feller, not a fart smeller! Come on, LET'S GO!

I'm a soil scientist for agriculture, not a geologist... but if you are looking for sulfides, and there has been good recent rain, then maybe look to the left of where those trucks are parked. Why are the plants growing so poorly? Is it possible the soil pH has been affected by sulfides? I'd take a sample where the plants are brown...

Good to see you with Jason. He definitely knows how to smelt and prospect.

One of the best guests you’ve had on the channel, Dan! Super knowledgeable and comfortable on camera.

Mbmmllc is a fantastic channel Jason has a passion for the smelt 😁
