Looking back now I can really understand the dynamic between Jackie and Howard. I love how at the beginning of this clip Jackie can sense that the attention was turning towards him so he tries to redirect it back onto Jay Leno and Arsenio to no avail. Love that whole dynamic
So Jackie turned down an up and coming Eddie Murphy comedy album collaboration! Never heard that one.. just one in a series of bad decisions by Jackie , that's what made the Jackie years gold, .. teaming up with Nancy really pushed him further into delusional territory and ultimately cost him his career.. I miss the Jackie years, I never liked Artie
Howard has a point about Eddie Murphy, though. There are many accounts of how Eddie Murphy is behind-the-scenes, he is a very dull, and reserved personality.
He compliments Gilbert plenty during his appearances, but it's also kinda balanced by the 30 minute opener where him and Robin just shit on him for never enjoying anything in life, not loving his wife or upcoming child or anyone that exists, not having any passions in life etc.
@@JohnSmithPlaysGames find me a clip of him just congratulating another successful person without a bit or shit talking attached to it and I’ll be amazed 😂😂😂.
Eddie and Jackie were doing standup in LI. After the gig, Eddie asked if anyone could " give me a ride home" (Jamaica Qns)-- Jackie declined; I guess Eddie had to take the subway. Eddie becomes famous..
It's been almost 30 years. People change. People get older and wiser. People mature. Who cares if he didn't really like someone 29 years ago..... Someone that is 67 years old right now, isn't going to be the same person they were when they were 38 years old. I see this crap all the time on old Stern show videos. "Wigard isn't the same anymore, the show sucks now." He's almost 70 freaking years old. Jesus. He isn't going to be the same as he was in his late 20's-late 30's, when the show was considered in it's prime. The guy has been on the radio since the late 70s- early 80's. It's 2021.....

Can't get enough of Jackie! Used to hate him. But his genius is, every decision, and everything he touches turns to s***! You just cannot write that
LOL.
Some talent...

Arita is almost if not as good
Best dam Jokeman picture ever.
"Take a hike, Loser!"
I’ve yet to hear Howard genuinely compliment another persons talent. He literally can’t do It. 😂😂😂😂😂

@@xTBrown13x I'm sure it's common nowadays since it's become a celebrity interview show.
I've coined the term HDS - Howard Derangement Syndrome. Browse the comment section of any Howard video for examples.
Well to be fair do you really expect people on Stern videos to be commenting on the Bruins Canadiens rivalry?
it's a thin line between love + hate

That video they're talking about is hilarious. The clip is on youtube. Daniel Carver is amazing in it and in life in general
Howard is now friends with Arsenio

@@justinkelly9526 he called him a triangle headed blue gummed b@star@rd, I'm sure arsenio doesn't forget that
The fact you call him Eric the Actor says everything we need to know about you
All his beefs were shtick.
@Stranded NYer I don't agree, Marci Turk.
Robin will go along with Howie's racism no matter what
Absolutely
probably because its comedy (which is subjective) and people weren't sensitive babies back then.
