Santa Clara Vanguard running show beats in rehearsal at an unknown location in 1987. Featuring Russian Christmas Music, The Great Gates of Kyiv, and Lezghinka.
The Drumline Archives intro rules, VHS rules, SCV rules, 87 rules, blasting this at max volume and yelling "woo" at my TV until my neighbors call the cops
Hello! Unfortunately I do not have any videos of the 88 drumline. Hopefully one day someone will find an old VHS with some footage of them and send it my way to digitize!

First DCI drumline to use Kevlar heads.
I know this is a drumline channel, but RIP to 86-87 soprano Donna Sinagra, who passed from cancer yesterday. I am jealous that she marched this show.
I recall when these vids first popped up on UA-cam, Murray Gusseck commented he was the one doing the recording.
This is so awesome. Would I would do to be able to go back in time and see drum corps from the span of 1980 to 2000 in person. So awesome.
Yes, more vintage videos!
Awesome!
One of the best drum lines of all time. Can't imagine anyone would disagree.
That whole year and era were special. Scv 1987 is one of the first DCI shows I heard.

Great intro
So important to know where we came from
Damn...SCV
@drumline archives , Would you happen to have anything from the 88 scv drumline? Unfortunately 88 has very little video online here. Thanks.
