I have a 16 year old beagle, and she is still going strong. She loves to take at least three walks a day , one of which is a longer hour or so walk on the beach . Luckily my husband and I our retired now and we keep each other healthy we long walks and healthy eating, all of which would be more difficult without our furry child . We love and cherish every day we have with her in our lives .

My Beagle was fantastic. Such a smart, loving dog. I was his master from day one, but he wouldn't let me get away with shenanigans. When I would play with my kids, rolling around on the living room floor, my Beagle would squeeze his way in between us with my kids to his back. He was saying, "Dad, I love you, but don't mess with the babies." I would recommend this breed to everyone.
I had both dogs at the same time and loved them both. The beagle was the alpha until he took some food from the Goldens bowl and the dynamic changed forever. Beagle feared the vacuum and thunder and neither one like baths, but both loved to swim in the lake.
I had a golden retriever and he was a good dog but he used to shed a lot more than my beagle, he used to be very well behaved and will go everywhere with me without a leash, I can’t do that with my beagle at all…my golden only live to be 11 years old. I hope my beagle will live longer. They are both intelligent dogs to me. They both learn to sit, lay down, give paw, roll over and my beagle even give hugs and open the sliding door via a cord
Beagles always follow there noses when they find a scent trail and cannot find their way home. Therefore, they always need to be kept on a leash.
We chose the beagle, and getting our puppy in 3 weeks, I'm very excited. :)

just rescued a 1yr old beagle/retriever mix and i can say both personalities show in the best ways possible! doesnt really bark but defiently gets distracted by anything and everything. she is quickly becoming a fantastic dog that's gonna help me get in shape for all the runs and walks she needs!.
A Beagle sounds perfect for me. I just moved to Dallas, Texas in a small 700 Sq ft apt. I recently lost my cat to a bladder infection so I feel like the Beagles personality is a better fit for me- being used to cats- And my neighbors all have dogs who bark day and night so the excessive barking shouldn't be a issue lol. My cat Leo was attached to my hip, my family and friends used to call him my shadow because he was always right behind me, and he loved to sleep on my bed with me. Can't wait to make new memories with my future Beagle! I'll tell him stories about his late big brother 😊❤

There is no better breed than the beagle. I’m 50 and I’ve had dozens of these little hounds since I was a youngster. If you are looking for a family pet there is none better! Period!

I had both at the same time. I grew up with beagles and my wife wanted the golden. We rescued both of them and were both so much fun on walks and watching them swim and play together. The beagle was first and became the alpha and taught the golden many things. Beagle was more independent than the golden and did his own thing often. I recommend them both.

I love both! I have a Beagle girl. Because i'm living alone and i know Golden's fur have lot of maintenance, i thought i'd better get a smaller but energetic ones which could accompanied me for walking everyday. My Beagle have 2 Golden Retriever friends, one boy and one girl. I noticed they're so similar in temperament and playfulness. Maybe that's why Beagle and Golden get along so well - ummm i mean, _too well_ until they often forgetting their owners 😅 After several times talking and chatting with Goldens' owners, i'm so glad that i chose a Beagle, for one thing : Not only Beagle tends to cleaning themselves like a cat, but also dirts, grass or else *CAN NOT* sticked on Beagle coat because of its oily suface. Its so easy to clean the fur with baby wiper everytimes we came back from walk 🥰
No comparison. Any pet 🐕 is as adorable as other. One has to get intuition and bring home the Angel..
I have a BeagO. A beagle/golden retriever cross. I love him. Has the best and worst traits of both breeds. I had a golden retriever for 11 years and Beagle who I rescued for for 9 years. They were besties. They died a year apart from each other. I didn't want a new dog for a while.. But when I heard of this mixed breed I couldn't refuse. Hes been totally awesome and naughty and cute, spoiled and lovable. I see a bit of both breeds in him.
I am first! I would also prefer a beagle because they are easy to take care of and I love the breed as well. I also have two of them anyway so I guess I am stuck now!

Guys, but the fact is every dog differs from each other. I have a beagle, and she is least vocal. At the sametime, my opposite neighbour have a golden retriever and she's highly vocal. So you can make a decision just by watching a video! 😂 And training my beagle wasn't really of a challenge as said in most beagle video. Whereas my neighbour retriever have learnt only sit command in 7months🤪😂
My Beagle also barely bark, she only whining or baying 🥲 She also always obeys my commands for sit, stay, paw, lay down, snout, clap, etc. since she was 2 months old. The cutest thing is i had several different breeds of dogs in the past (which already went to heaven now), yet none as clingy as my Beagle.. She's just like a velcro tape who really loves to snuggling until she fall asleep 😅

We really like your videos, at one point we had a golden retriever and a beagle, the reason trooper died about 10 years ago, we just had to put our beagle of 15 years old to sleep, we just got a new little 8 week old puppy beagle!

One thing that should be noted is that while both are hunting dogs, beagles are hounds. They are bred to track game and once they get on a scent it is almost impossible to recall them. They are extremely stubborn that way. It's imperative that your backyard, if you have one, is escape proof. Both are great breeds though! Can't go wrong

They are stubborn but they are excellent if you understand that and know how to train them. There is none better than a beagle.

Get one but understand what you are getting and plan appropriately. You’ll never be disappointed.
My beagle listens my commands only when I have a treat and whenever he bites any shoes and I go to remove it he always tries to bite me and once when he was 5 months old (2 months ago) he bit me so hard that blood was coming any advice to reduce his aggression

@@Lilin987 My beagle had the same problem we need to teach him what is wrong and waht is right..also now he is 11moths old he is good now........u need to distract him when he bites you and the main reson he bites is because of teething give him chew toys , calcium bones.....also there is vid in this channel about it check it ..ig its the first vid of this channell

Any form of teeth to hands is unacceptable, play or accidental. when ever my beagle puppy would make any kind of contact (teeth to skin) i would make a loud ouch sound and turn my back towards him, completely disengaging. This method paired with giving him something he’s allowed to chew on immediately after correcting him chewing your forbidden item (shoes etc.) worked wonders! He’s a year old now, took a lot of scars but he’s come a long way haha. Good luck!

I would say training! You have to take time to work with them and teach them "No-bite" or "no" It depends on what you will remember. They are also stubborn and take time to train. You will have to use positive reinforcement rather than yell at them. Hope this helps!

@@varaangmamgain88 You never know for sure. I reccomend looking at a youtube channel called: "Zak George" he has tons of videos on how to train your dog and he like to use treats instead of yelling. You should also have a play voice and a command voice. There is a difference and your dog should know that your are his alpha. You should not let your dog take control because that could lead to severe bites and other injuries.

Our 9-month old beagle is probably going to be the last one we ever own. He’s aggressive, bites, and continually barks. I’m fed up with him. I’ve been around dogs my entire life and this one is the worst.
I think you are not giving your beagle enough exercise. Take him out for long walks atleast twice a day. If you don't have enough time, hire a dog walker. And TRUST ME he will calm down within next 6 to 8 months.

Not at all.
Yes you can. I left my Beagle puppy home alone and my house is still the same. She even didn't touch with her potty pad except peeing there. I think its just how we teach them to used to it. I left mine since i got her, 5 mins, 15 mins, 30 mins and now she's 4 months old and i could left her for 4 hours without dealing with any separation anxieties.

he can be alone like 2-5hrs.....its upto your beagle always leave some toys , water and food.......also he is so affectionate so mostly he il be sad when u leave him for mre than 1hr
