Puppies usually do that. They are curious about everything. Your beagle will calm down once he grows up. Redirect him to a toy everytime he tries to eat anything.
We were able to figure these out over the course of owning our beagle (1 year). We love him to death but we didn't realize what we were in for. The dog has so much energy you absolutely must go on atleast 1 walk a day and try to average 2. It's my first dog so I'm not sure about other dogs but he has so much energy. I do not recommend getting a beagle if you live in an apartment or do not have the means to walk them 2x a day. Since getting a beagle I've heard of many stories about having to get rid of them. He is also the most loving and playful creature no matter who you are he instantly loves you if you pay attention to him which you will cause he leaves you no choice.
I adopted one of the 4000 beagles rescued from VA. He was 3 months old the and now he is8 months old. I am having a very hard time training him. Am I gonna have to pay for a trainer?

@@Lilin987 i see but im worried he will get stressed or something? my doc suggest that he will grow out of it in time cuz it is like how he explores the world. but sometimes he takes it to the extreme and ive took him to the vet bcuz of such extreme explorations
You can take your puppy out once he is completely vaccinated, you can ask your vet about the vaccination schedule. And as Ailin said, put a muzzle until he learns to not eat everything.
Hi! I'm just curious if your beagle doesn't quickly stink? I read somewhere that their stinky smell is actually considered as some sort of hound smell, but I'm not sure if that is true for every beagle. We shower ours for about 5-10 minutes at least once a week bc she becomes stinky after 4 days.
There are several factors to consider here. If your Beagle plays outside and gets dirty and stinky, you might want to use wet wipes once you bring them inside. I’m not sure about this but their diet could also contribute to their stink.
Once a week is too often. Do not bath your beagle more than once a month. Yes, beagles stink. You can read more about it here: beaglecare.com/why-do-beagles-stink/ It is something you have to get use to. If it makes you uncomfortable then you can get a Natural Canine Perfume.
Diet can be contributing factor as well as skin condition. For instance, if she has a fungus infection, she will smell awful, especially in places like around the ears. You will need to get special cream or drops to get rid of it. My dog is extremely picky. She does not like dog food, be it canned or kibble. I had to resort to making her food. This week, for example, I made her chicken, Rice, beans, mixed vegetables. I don't put any seasoning in it, just boil it all together. Sometimes I add in a sweet potato. She loves her homemade food. Just make a big batch, so half goes in freezer, the other half the fridge. I bathe her about once a month, though may do it more often during summer because of fleas.
I have a question my first beagle we used to leave her alone when he was little, now we have a male beagle, he is not alone anymore, should they still not be alone for more than six hours?
The beagle is bred as a hunter, to be in a pack, and it is driven by its nose, especially when it finds itself 50 feet from you, the owner. It will suppress sound as it works with its main tool, its nose. Off leash, when in the countryside, expect the beagle not to respond to your commands when it is 50 ft or more away from you; it's a scenthound. Also, do not expect the dog to be mentally healthy if it is repeatedly forced to move in a straight line. Its definition of a walk is to follow its nose, no matter how many turns and reversals, and dashes up the scent trail. For a beagle, that is a mentally meaningful experience. The more it experiences its true self, the more it will be a happy member of the family, and I bet, won't engage in unwanted behavior in the house. BTW, that walk with the beagle is emotionally costly to the one with the dog; often, no "walk" actually occurs, but to the beagle, it's a great outing.
Hi, Can you share few things such as which can be appropriate tooth paste and tooth brush. If you can share link that would be helpful. Also if you can make video or share tips on how to have proper leash or walking training done. Avoiding thier beagle pull
I will only take one pet in my life time... Everyone I love can never be replaced... Well, I have a beagle. He is the best pet. I always wanted gold fish but their life span is short that's what stopped me always.
I was confused between beagle or pug you're video about it makes me know what are the pro's and cons are I choose beagle because I like it but I haven't done any reserch about it and then I watched your video And I know Most about a cuddle monster and I am about to buy one for me
No I haven't made any of these mistakes. My beagle passed away on the 2/17/2023 and he was 15. I just came to watch beagle videos so i can cry some more.
I just got a beagle puppy about 5-6 months old. She's the long legged beagle. The first lady got rid of her cuz of her barking supposedly. I think she was abused. The guy I got her from lives in a condemned house and cooked his food on a kerosene heater and it was hot and she was left alone 12 plus hrs a day. I tried to babysit her every chance I got. She ended up being bad enuf he gave her to me. I'm working on the potty training and sitting and down. Not sure how many commands you can train them at once. I noticed when she gets real stressed she has accidents, her time out is in the bathroom. She's just finally getting her voice but she don't bark alot. She used to pee in the car not no more and she used to pee when excited but I haven't seen that happen however, she goes with me everywhere. How do people work with beagles if they can't be left alone? Also she gets so wound up especially at night and goes back and forth thru t apt and wants to chew on your arm or hand the whole time ... I try to get her to stop that but she don't listen well. I know she's a puppy and was abused and wasn't trained so I'm trying to have patience but she runs it thin sometimes...
It depends. I have a fenced in yard and a doggy door, so my dog is free to go in and out as she pleases. As a result, she doesn't destroy my furniture and she gets exercise that way as well. My beagle is terrible on a leash, always pulling, so much so that she chokes herself. I tried getting her a harness, but she gets out of them in five minutes.
How do you get a 5 month beagle puppy to stop eating poop? We have tried meat tenderizer, pumpkin, zucchini, spinach, pineapple, literally everything and now we just decided to wait till she gets bored and grows.....She is properly fed so I doubt it's because she is hungry...and her poop is fine so it's not because she isn't getting nutrients.... Also how do you potty train beagle puppies? We have a crate and she has no qualms peeing there and sitting on it....we tried giving treats on walks and totally we stood out for 8+ hours taking turns but she held it till the end.....she has an extraordinary capacity to hold her pee and poo so she just switches her routines to escape going outside meaning she goes in the night....she has only pooped once outside and now she doesn't even pee anymore cuz she grew up and she is able to hold out longer ; - ; . She only does her business in the house and balcony nowhere else and we r kinda lost at this point...we r only having trouble with this rest all she is fine
@@catholicpeaces6257 For the poo eating its a habit the slowly goes away, the main thing we were recommended to do was to prevent her from accessing her poo which means immediately clearing the area and keeping her in our sight constantly. Eventually the puppy should forget about it..... A lot of the bad habits seem to disappear as they grow older, 4 months is their peak naughty period but rest assured, your puppy will calm down a lot after a year. For the peeing part, once again be consistent with rewards and punishments so the puppy can understand that sitting on it is a bad thing. Maintain a clean environment so he/she can get used to it. For the potty training, it honestly is just a thing that seems to come with consistency and time.....until the puppy gets used to the routine and recognizes your family and language they are going to be quite stubborn. As a puppy the frequency to urinate and go poo is more but as they grow this time will reduce and it will be easier. For now, just continue to try going to the same spot everyday, especially if they drank a lot of water or so, eventually they will pee (it helps a lot if its a spot other dogs also pee in). Only the first time is the hardest, afterwards it'll be easier to get them to go. You can even try guiding your puppy around in a circle with a leash in the same spot to imitate that behavior. Also, keep using verbal commands when they do it 'Go poo' and 'Go pee', it'll help in the future when they start listening to you... On the other hand, incorporate other training techniques such as making the puppy wait till a command to eat, good walking behavior and leash commands, sitting etc. This will help them get some routine and discipline and establish house roles making them more compliant to your words. Overall, just be patient and maintain a good environment, your puppy should eventually understand and learn the routine as they grow older, till then its going to be a bit hard but it'll all be worth it by the end! We were really lost with Peach too but she has done a complete 180 in a year and seems to understand our language too, she communicates if she wants to go and listens to what we say. Don't lose hope!
My puppy(jupiter) is about 10 months now but she still has the size weight and everything of a puppy our vet said she is very weak so what should we do??
Great channel very informative. I do not have a Beagle but am interested in getting one. However since this breed appears to be clingy, need a lot of attention and cannot be left alone foe very long, it might not be the breed for my lifestyle.
Your concerns are right. Don't get one unless you have little kids to play with them. Beagles are naughty, stubborn, greedy beasts with no road sense. Walking them is just plain infuriating. Having said that, I couldn't possibly part with 4 year old Cleo. Bitch.

Once a week is too often. Do not bath your beagle more than once a month. Yes, beagles stink. You can read more about it here: beaglecare.com/why-do-beagles-stink/
It is something you have to get use to.
Hi I have a question
In mistake #3 for like they can stay alone for like 1 hr
I have an inquiry regaurding dental care for a Beagle. Would giving them a dental bone work?
Very helpful
I have a question my first beagle we used to leave her alone when he was little, now we have a male beagle, he is not alone anymore, should they still not be alone for more than six hours?
My nana’s beagle, biggils, made roast pig and fed the crackling to the dog
BTW, that walk with the beagle is emotionally costly to the one with the dog; often, no "walk" actually occurs, but to the beagle, it's a great outing.
love this channel

Is it ok to brush beagle dog teeth using toothpaste? I've seen article not to use toothpaste for beagle dogs.. any idea??
My family work for 7 hours a day but has a 1 hour walk with a walker do you guys think that's OK?
How is your beagle now? I just got a 3 month old-whoa the work with potty training! Really hope all is well with your pup🐾
My 4 month beagle too! Any advice since you last posted this? We are at our wits end.
@@catholicpeaces6257 For the poo eating its a habit the slowly goes away, the main thing we were recommended to do was to prevent her from accessing her poo which means immediately clearing the area and keeping her in our sight constantly. Eventually the puppy should forget about it..... A lot of the bad habits seem to disappear as they grow older,
4 months is their peak naughty period but rest assured, your puppy will calm down a lot after a year.
@Aranis Arora tysm , I will try that
Great channel very informative.
Bitch.
Thx I was doing a LOT wrong
Your all video awesome 👏
Thanks a lot :)
