Im going to be honest . The keyboard was what first atracted me to the doors when I was a kid 20+ years ago . I now believe that manzarek was the doors .
Ray Manzarek with his keyboard playing defined the sound for the Doors music. That’s why Jim Morrison said that if anyone was the Doors it was Ray Manzarek. He also said that everyone in the band was the Doors. That meant that everyone in the band was an important member.
I bet cardi b or lady Gaga videos do though. It’s a sad sad time. I wish I was a young adult back in the 60’s 70’ and 80’s. I’m 36. But a hippie at heart lol.
I already liked and started listening The Doors after I listened Light My Fire and People Are Strange but after I listened Take It as It Comes I'm in love Ray Manzarek's piano skills. I'm getting like The Doors more and more. RIP Ray Manzarek.
Same thing happened to me with me with light my Fire and people are strange then Alabama song got me into their first album. Now I listen to their live versions since each song is played slightly differently. While everyone else is looking at Jim sing, I’m always hearing Ray and watching him play his organ/bass.
From whoever wrote that piece, to all the Band Members playing it, it's incredible to watch Pro's work together like a Sports Team where they know each other so well, and know what they are doing.
Feel the Chopin now !!! Manzarek's best virtuozy of the time! he is an Piano icon. Noone could replace him. Just like noone can replace Jim. There will be no such a band. C'mon baby light'em fire.

One of my biggest influences with Joe Zawinul and Bernie Worrell
Couldn’t agree more with you also love the profile picture
The part from 1:43 to 2:46 is a perfect musical eargasm. Ray the best keyboardist of all time.

Ray is something else such an eerie sound and so much energy.
The best keyboard solo ever. What a genius Ray was.
RIP genius. ❤ what a masterpiece. It can’t get any better. ❤
This guy is my idol! The Doors is nothing without this guy.
Well, they are something. But without Manzarek (or Krieger, or Densmore), they are not The Doors.
@@905if6was9 i agree with you.
you wrong. they are a team. and a team without another one, is Nothing
Not many people have this talent anymore
fucking amen. all 4 are so uniquely good at what they do!

I am shocked that this video hasn't had zillions more views and likes than it has!

The poser teenagers who say they like the doors are busy listening to mumble rap
@@MidwinterEclipse i bet they look back at these live videos and feel jealousy lol ...because they lack such amazing talent
@@keremstoyshop8734 most of them are missing out =] it's okay we don't need their company...
@@MidwinterEclipse blasting the 60's is really fun though just play it at top volume show it off ^.^

keyboard player: doing the solo of his life
camera man: let me film the singer drinking a bottle of water
A water bottle that is worth alot containing dna
actully, that's vodka.

Wow i have to listen to it again .
Remembering Ray Manzarek!
Johnny Loaps: All four of them as a unit are worth remembering -- one of the greatest quartets in rock history!

Ты правильно сказал брат , Двери навсегда и навечно.
Best key burner all time...still takes me
Off the Planet...All vibe mystical
The Wizard of The Electric Organ.
The 60's sound like a time that should have never existed.✨
Rip Ray. A true legend
I just spoke to aide, Gabby, she never heard of The Doors! She's 25. I said you kids miss so much. She said I'll go listen to them right now.
Ray manzarek rip legend
Thats how to celebrate existence
Perfection!
Video should have been a little longer, ended just before a very melodious note

Come see my top 5 keyboard players!
Great cut by the way!
This is the real music ( not the now days come and go music) This is forever music. Music that never dies.
Interesting that they have the bass player when Ray usually uses the Fender bass keyboard
Rip maestro Ray 🙏
Ray's trying to let the audience be aware that they're alive while the Lizard king's tripping on LSD.
not a bad way to listen to the boys- we did it a good bit back in '69 and '70
Love this solo
*Con esos solos de Ray..entiendo al buen jimbo permitirse unos aciditos antes del concierto.*
Those keys are on fire!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 fuckin' goooo
Ray❤
I would like to see his hands playing this...
THE DOOR !!!!
🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹🎹
I don't know where this takes me to, but it's not on this planet that's for sure
Me viene a la mente el sonido de teclado de Camel, será porue son de la misma época..
Can somebody tell me if that was a mellotron?
It was a Gibson G101 Kalamazoo organ
I wonder what Jim was thinking here..
“Why is everything melting?”
Everything and yet nothing
Ummm I don’t have any other words than “ WOW!”
Is Ray also playing the bass part throughout his solo here? I don't see a bassist and he often did the part on his Fender Rhodes piano keyboard bass.
yes. at 1:28 you can see him playing the rhodes
Los 4 jinetes cabalgando esta rola ácida
Wait! What! Music had real people playing? No way
Ray use to say "each generation gets the music they deserve."
Jimi Hendrix on keyboards
Whatever to the 3 👎’s
The keyboard player was a repeaditve boring player
Why didn't he listen to Jon lord
cant even spell repetitive right dumbass lmao
