Magic...
RIP Emerson and Lake.
People overlook that this is a 3 piece band. A lot of fabulous music coming from 3 guys. Greg lake on guitar is awesome. I ❤ ELP.
I did see the show August 74
Yes, I remember. I was there.👍
Anyone else know the 'H-E-L-P' story?
I was lucky enough to at this concert
Batera insano...
The best there ever was !
Carl Palmer, the greatest. At least the most spectacular!
ELP were some amazing musicians.
Carl Palmer is the GOAT!!!
We went from gods like ELP to elevator music Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift.
Keith Emerson is the reason I became a keyboardist/synthesis!
I was 6 in 73', and I loved ELP, Jethro Tull, Sly, and Black Sabbath! 😊 What a childhood! Then I was blessed with Queen, Kansas! 😊
Emerson Lake snd Palmer❤️Carl killing the drums❤️
For me ELP the Best 3 piece Band in Rock History! Yes I think better than Police or Rush or Any other 3 piece Band’s!
2:44 the greatest live drum solo ever caught on film!
ELP was the first band I ever saw live. In the early/mid 1970s in Rotterdam. I remember it well.
The gong thing is so silly
So bad by todays standards..laughable
Solo was good in 74 but childish today...
Greg is a great frontman. I love this band.
Moog ❤
Awesome. The Greatest Prog band...VDGG!!! ❤
They made it look so easy. The gifted always do.
Look mom no auto tune! Just real talented musicians! I am so grateful to have been a teenager in the 70s!🙋🏼♀️
I wasn’t a teenager in the seventies, actually in my twenties, but I know what you mean, and agree 100%…OUTSTANDING!
No auto-tune? Just a corny electronically processed imitation "robot" voice...HA!!!
Saw them on this tour at the Anaheim convention center where they recorded most of the live album…as a 12 year old you can imagine the impression it made on me.
@@roydemaraisknow the difference?😂
Technically great, but somehow lifeless.
Greg is an underrated guitar player. He totally ties the band together.
I went this show whilst in High School as Greg would say or Too Young but had a ton of fun Sabbath Purple Elf JGiels …
A classic performance 👍 RIP KEITH 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I also remember listening to this but I also noticed Carl Palmer's drum solo and his bell ringing was not on the regular (not live) studio album of Karma Evil 9 first impression.
When I saw them they hah a synth that looked like a pinball machine. At some point I was like, wtf……this is a Christmas song…….it was Nutcracker……good times👍
The voice of king crimson
Wow, that brings back some great memories. I think it was 1972? A good year for concerts. I had seen Pink Floyd at the Hollywood Bowl, and then ELP in Anaheim, can't remember the venue. I was 18 or 19. It's a miracle I can remember anything from those days!
In their day they were the BEST 3-piece band around. Killer shows and showmanship. No better than ELP.
Think about all , all the shows that Carl played with that intensity, and he’s still walking around to this day
やっぱすげーよ スゲェよ😮
Prettie wicked Eulogy!! 💐🖤💙🎉🥀💘💋💔🙏🔥💀🕳️🪱
I remember walking into Midsouth Coliseum facing the stage. All you saw was a red curtain flanked by two monstrous futuristic looking P.A. stacks. I settled into my seat (on the floor) and turned around to survey the scene. There on the back corners of the floor were the same set of P.A. stacks! All I could do was think OMG, we're in for one hell of a ride.
This is why no one comes close to Palmer... And then of course there's Emerson... and Lake. This was their zenith!
Definition of 70s excess
A drum solo the likes of which you will never hear again. Ranks up there with iron butterfly!!
Civic Arena Pittsburgh Pa. With the Dome OPEN! GR8 Sound!
TIMELESS..... and irreplaceable
I believe that would have been Peart- approved.
Oh wow. This was the same show Deep Purple played?
You need to listen to tiger in a spotlight
Saw them on works tour……77 piece orchestra. Rough day at school the next day!!!i
Wow 😳 that's just the way I remember it when I saw them play it in Rochester NY in the mid 70's. The Drum kit rotated and the strobe lights hit the Gong's and the Dragon's were dancing. Epic Classic Rock Performance 👍😎🏆🔥 I'm 65 now and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Loved it 😊
I loved prog still do. Loved Yes, Genesis, Floyd et al. With ELP, Whilst excellent, I always thought their 3 member format really limited what they could actually do musically. Later came Rush, whom to my ears, showed what a 3 piece really could achieve musically I.e. a true 3 man orchestra - ELP in my opinion always sounded like 3 distinct musicians cobbled together.
