Michael's memoir would be an amazing read, I think! And, a showing of Barbara's work would be beyond amazing.
What an incredible couple and beautiful historic home. Hope he can write his memoirs.
Regarding Michael's memoirs, they could hire someone to interview him, and record the answers. They usually supply a text of the conversations as well. 🙂
Lovely family and house. All those medals and decorations layed out and "thats all I have to show you" !!!
what a lovely couple - and their daughter - cant wait to see through their home again!
Gee, if he cant write his memoirs have him tape them. Have your children and grandchildren ask him questions...it would be more fun to have your families voices telling their own stories! Make lots of cookies and have lots of fun!
What a dear sweet couple……and the way you spoke to them was so gentle & respectful……..such an enjoyable vlog Julie…..thank you.
It seems he hit the ground running after retirement. Bravo!
Hello, Julie. What an absolutely wonderful episode. I could listen to Captain Fulford-Dobson tell his stories all day long.
I’m American. I love watching your channel. I’m excited that you will be covering the Coronation of KCIII
What a wonderful home and grounds. What wonderful people and stories. What wonderful art work. Do wish to hear more stories from them they have such wonderful history in their family.
A terrific episode and such a lively couple. They should be encouraged to write memoirs. Such a wonderful part of England's history should be memorialized for all to learn from and enjoy.
You wore the perfect outfits!
What a lovely house.
that's very sweet love how he was making cappuccinos for everyone
What a lovely, wonderful old chap.
I am awestruck. Past history and present history. What a lovely couple.
Hi JULIE,
GREAT bit of history..you
Must do more on this couple..Thank you Mrs.Barbara for your beautiful art 🎨 ❤.
This episode should have been hours long..❤😊❤

Hello everyone from Bakersfield California
Hello Susan, I grew up in Bakersfield, CA. How I miss it.
Porterville 👍🏻
Hello from North Carolina
What a lovely couple..
Julie, we just loved this story for so many reasons. Barbara in particular has touched our hearts. She impresses us as being such a wise, talented and fascinating 'Italian' woman with her very own story to tell. We hope there will be an opportunity to interview her further in future. Best wishes and thank you. Maria e Rowan
Dear Julie, such privilege to visit these houses and taldk with their owners, hear their stories! Magnificent!
OMG I love those green (or blue striped chairs)
Hello Julie, I love how you have fully embraced your new country and the wealth of knowledge you have and impart to us , brilliant. Thank you x
Bravo Julie. I really enjoyed this episode.
Thanks it felt so personal . Loved this couple
So very interesting! Thank you-
Brilliant episode, Julie...I would have watch 3 hours if you had done a deep dive into this interesting human story of a historied family; but the estate is a living breathing entity of its' own really, but without the family guard to recount and record memories, it's basically lost...the glory days of pomp and circumstance both large and small, grand or local are all important ! Thank you for doing such important work :)
What utter eloquence !! All around this episode starting from your gorgeous dress, to the couple and their stories!! What parent cannot relate to that painting! Just perfection. A great belly laugh about the Royal portrait!❤🎉 GREAT EPISODE! Thank you for a window into this world🏆🎖️Top notch quality programming always!👏👏👏👏👏👏
King Henry the third and down to my husband, and sons, as the King was his great ( several cannot remember which one) but to my husband and our two sons. We have been married 54 yrs now. He has tracked the genealogy and it comes down to my husband finally. But he was in the Plantagenet and Tudor lines.
Absolutely adored this vlog. As with all of them they are wonderful, and you do get so much done is amazing . I know it is not easy at all though, of course to keep it up as you do. But so much must be done.
Cerne Abbey seems so lovely (which is understated so it seems) and such a lovely couple and host and hostess as Michael and Barbara as well as Jessica, they are lovely people and Barbara such a fantastic artist indeed! Cannot wait to see the next visit. They have much to share, and so many great memories!
We look ''forward to the Coronation'' ( Thank you) and certainly know King Charles will do well. He wants to be a tiny more modern, but think he will honor his mother's ( Queen Elizabeth and her memory as much as possible.
(I am partly Italian myself, on my fathers side of family, my grandfather was from Italy)
The lovely gentleman should write the book. “ I served the Queen 3 times. My name is Michael Fulford-Dobson and this is my story.”😊
What a piece of history!
Brilliant Episode! Thank you from Johannesburg, South Africa! I love following all your adventures in Italy and England and the depth of research you do for all your programmes.
I found this episode absolutely fascinating.
Can you show Barbara’s work at Mapperton? It could be a fabulous event. Her husband could share a few choice royal anecdotes, and, Bob’s your uncle! Sorted!❤️🇨🇦
That was a truly amazing trip to have been allowed to watch! Thank you and to that wonderful husband and wife with her stunning paintings!
Magnificent video. Thanks!

Hi Julie, I loved this video and meeting Michael and Barbara, what an extraordinary life they had. The house is amazingly beautiful, full of their life together also cozy and inviting. Love from N.Y.

What an extradinary episode! It's like living history. I love the new style with you sharing your visit from the drawing room. Also, as a mother if 4, i can appreciate the painting of the mom and daughter and the haven of the studio itself. Thank you for sharing. I look forward to the next episode if the Abby.
You've got 4 kids and still managed to stay that, skinny. Jealous. Soooo jealous 😤😤. Lol 😀😀
All meant in jest. Love all your videos. Try to catch them when I can. Can't wait for the next one.
I love these episodes the most on historic homes. And waiting for the next one gives me something to look forward to! Sometimes I wish it was a long documentary. I always am just starting to get settled in and then it’s over. You are doing a great job at putting these together. Looking forward to the next one.
More to come!

The order of service for the Queen’s Committal is available as a pdf from the Royal website. It’s a remarkable read.
Oh my do I identify with that “ tired mother” picture! My goodness extraordinary

Very real, and very touching. It just shows that no matter who you are, we all have deep feelings, and sometimes it is so relieving to just let them out. Thank you, Julie. Wish I could be over the pond and be a part of this legacy. Amazing family.
Just turn a camera on this man and let him tell stories.
Terrific video! Beautiful home and history. Those are fascinating stories from Michael and heartfelt art by Barbara! Give us more!
Hello fromBC Canada
Perfect vlog! Keep it up like this. I love the personal stories, and want to know more.
Your respect with your husband’s culture and tradition is outstandingly inspirational! I wish Markle could have been amazing like you but instead she trashed the monarchy with petty complaints. Kudos Julie ur a good role model to every human being on this planet!
These amazing charming historical houses are filled with such amazing charming people! I love these visits.
A change of gear! Perfectly said sir! Thank you for your service!
Great episode Julie! I loved hearing how extraordinary their lives have been..real people sharing their stories..can’t wait for the next video.
This was very nice.. Michael's history and stories where lovely ,thankyou for sharing.
Such a history overload Julie, loved it!! 😍
Thank you so much for sharing this episode! I found the art work to be stunning!
A wonderful episode, it is so lovely to hear their stories :-)
I thank you got to meet him, he seems like a splendid man. I’m glad he has confidence in KC111. There is a lot of people are questioning if he will do a good job. Handling family problems, staying out of politics, the knowledge of him involved in NWO, so much into his climate change. Some large concerns. Times are moving a lot differently then HMTQ time, she stayed to what the Monarchy should be. Barbara paintings in her studio is lovely. A quaint area of her own. Thank you for sharing!
Fascinating, I do not know how you got through looking at those awards/metals dry eyed.
I love your gold dress. It looks so good on you
As A Canadian I want to thank you for the Historic House. I just recently found this channel and have spent the last week going back and watching all the episodes of Historic Houses and absolute love every one. I look forward to watching season 3 and seeing the changes. I do have a small suggestion. As a Canadian, I don't really know the geography of the UK so I would appreciate seeing the location of the home or town on a map. Just a suggestion.
I really enjoyed this episode.
Wonderful episode Julie!
Looking foward to the coronation episodes
Is the gold dress vintage?
I liked the dress too. Stunning and different
Amazing home , history and wonderful couple , hope the next generation of their family can take over in the future.
What is the spelling of the abbeys name?
Don't think I've come across it before.
Great and sensitive presentation Viscountess.
Cozy mysteries featuring each home. But not stating which and we as reader figure out by features shown on the show? Miranda Hart as detective??
Julie I was wondering if you were invited to the king's coronation can you wear the tiara
Out of curiosity , Why is your Logo green , St Paddys day ?
How's the leak coming at keepers cottage?
I thought with being a viscountess and viscount. I thought they would be going to the corrination in robes and crowns? Or do all 'royals' not go anymore?
JULIE WHO DO YOU AND LUKE KN I W THAT DOES MEADIVEAL HEARLDRY I NEED MY ACCOMPLISHMENT OF ARMS DESIGNED.
