I asked about the writing feel comparison between Onyx Boox Max Lumi and Note Air literally less than 10 minutes ago in the comment section of your RM2 vs Note Air video and now I see this video ahahaha that's so great, everything best to You man, have a nice day! ;)
one more thing to add, I read that you can completely turn off the front light of boox air and Lumi, I think if you do that you can give a better comparison of the screen of rM2 and boox devices without light
I've had my Note Air now for something over 24 hours. And I totally agree it is not very intuitive. But after some tackling and fine-tuning and re-watching parts of Voja's Nova videos, I'm loving it now! If anyone feels their pen or writing experience is sub-optimal, recalibrate it once or even twice. If that doesn't help take the nib of your pen out and re-insert it. Then recalibrate again. In the Notes settings there are two auto-refresh features ticked by default. I unticked both and now have the perfect writing experience. I had almost ordered both the Staedtler and the Lamy, but have no more need for them.
I discovered today that the wacom pen CP91300B2Z (for the wacom one DTC133) works well on the onyx boox max 3 (in particular the eraser button). The nib is a bit too hard for my taste, however it can be changed with onyx or remarkable nibs (same shape and dimension).
I have a Onyx Boox max 3 and a Remarkable-1 (Remarkable-2 is coming). Onyx pen works, but it is a low class product. As you said, Lamy works on both Remarkable and Onyx. I can say that also samsung Galaxy Tab S7 pen works on Onyx (but I do not like it). If you have to write for long sessions (2 hours, or 10 pages of notes), you need a good pen. For me, among all the pens, Lamy+Remarkable nib is the best solution (original Lamy and original Onyx nibs are too hard and slip on the surface). Among Onyx max3 and Remarkable-1, the first is overal better: larger surface and better quality of the stroke (as you can see, it refreshes after you write, providing a better output). It particular, when you save in pdf your notes, Onyx is far better for the stroke quality. Remarkable remains better for the absence of lag and the writing sensation, as well as the portability. Because of that and also because it is better as reader, I advice Onyx for standard desk work (I work in academia), and Remarkable for fast note taking (during seminars or relaxed working in a coffee). PS I use a screen protector of the Onyx: it is a expensive device, better to protect the screen!
because my job: I mainly write notes and read pdf. Having the right device for a specific task makes (my) life easier. However, I have "only" remarkable1 and onyx max 3: galaxy tab s7 and wacom one belongs to collaborators. I only tested. As I wrote, onyx max 3 and reMarkable are used in different situations. Since reMarkable 1 is good for what I need, I decided to buy also reMarkable 2.
Ciao Marco, other channel reviewers are complaining of this jagged lines on remarkable. It seems that on 2 the effect is more pronounced than into the 1. Particularly in drawing lines, the exported SVG file seems to be done by raw data. No interpolation. As far as I get, and looking to onyx boox note air, the only advantage of remarkable is the write feeling. Quite hard to prefer remarkable for usage when it is little bit beyond taking notes
@@maxbuc1 I saw the video about that bug. However, already reMarkable 1 experience is better than onyx boox max 3. The same author of the video confirmed that the experience with reMarkable 2 is better than onyx note air (check his comments). Because of that, as usual, your choice depends on what you are loooking for. For me, taking note in a confortable way is the main goal, specially when I am in relexing mode. So I will keep my remarkable 2 order.
his comment: "Note Air can't match the writing experience of the rM2, but it is less glassy and a good enough, for my needs, when a different nib is used. RM2 has a papery feel, Note Air has a glassy feel. Remarkable platform has more sophisticated brushes, while Boox has ok for writing, but not much for sketching brushes". Anyway, I should capable to do a direct comparison in two weeks.
Thank you JB as always! Thanks to you and Voya i decided to go with the Lumi. My job in research requires that i read papers all the time, so reading pdfs and marking them is my main need. Using it as a second monitor for reading documents comes second, and finally taking notes. Thank you for all the reviews and follow ups!
Well I have the RM2 Marker Plus and the Staedler Noris Jumbo. I prefer the Staedler by a margin on my RM2, it is smoother, cleaner and softer. I also observe slightly "tremor" of the horizontal lines when using the Marker Plus, but this is almost not present when using Staedler. And btw the eraser on Staedler Noris Jumbo works perfectly on the RM2!!!
I will be getting my Onyx Boox Air tomorrow, I have a couple of magnet sheets. I will try and see if those stick at the back of the device (not the side, as remarkable's case has the magnet mainly on the side) if they do, I can cut and stick the magnet sheet at the cover sticky point and see how that works out. Hopefully the magnet does not interfere with the electronics inside the device, should not but will see.
@@morningcoach My Boox Air arrived today, tried to use the magnetic sheet but failed, forgot aluminum is not magnetic :), either way I am pretty satisfied with the cover to keep it on all the time. Got the screen protector with a few bubbles, will keep it for the time being, but might remove it because the original pen is a bit too scratchy for my liking with the protector on (have Lamy and Wacom styluses but is more convenient to use the magnetic one, haven't tried if I can use the other nibs in the new stylus) . So yeah its unfortunate that the magnets cannot attach on the back of the Boox air. Have you tried attaching the remarkable pen to the side of the Boox air? If it does I might go and get one.
@@morningcoach Also the weight with the stylus, screen protector, and folio is 619g, is not bad. From Voja's remarkable 2 video, he measured the weight with folio and stylus at 643g (for the Remarkable 2), the difference here of course you can remove the folio whenever you want . The Boox's folio acts like a stand, gives a better grip and you can hold it like a book which is a nice bonus. I am saying all that because I want to excuse myself for cancelling my Remarkable 2 preorder to go for the Boox Air :)
I'd love to know the durability and repair-ability of these devices. With rm1 there is no glass and that's great for harsh environments where I work, concerned about fragility of these newer devices. Not read any reviews that talk about ease of repair/battery replacement etc. Be good to know.
Congrats again on hitting 10,000. Keep up the fantastic work! Just a couple of quick updates... 1. Told you yesterday I've bought the Note Air and cancelled the rm2. I was in batch 5 and got an email this morning to confirm my address, so they are slightly ahead of the new schedule. They had previously said mid-November 2. Been looking everywhere for the Lamy. It doesn't seem to be available in Canada... anywhere. Very sad.
I just received my Note Air and completely agree with your assessment with the stylus. I feel like I'm scraping on a blackboard. I'm not a heavy writer so I took another poster's recommendation (from one of your previous videos) and bought a nib cover
@@Nekotaku_TV I really am. That screen and the writing experience matched what i hoped for. Seeing all the full android devices distracted me from my original reason for wanting the device. Last night i had my phone on next to the reMarkable and it clicked...I want to unplug and to have the device support my thought processes. That refocused me on my purchase. Like JB I have tablets and phones for other things. This device is for a specific purpose and so far it seems phenomenal.
I really appreciated your first video on this, and like that you've done a follow up with more pens. I've personally been using the reMarkable 2's Marker Plus with the Boox Note Air and I love it. And I could that when you put the cover on the Air that the pen stays attached way better, though it's still no where as good as it holds on the reMarkable 2.
@@cobeyguy5532 There is a difference, it's kind of hard to describe. The reMarkable is for sure a nicer tactile experience, but I really don't mind the Air at all, especially with the reMarkable 2's Market Plus. I have a Microsoft Surface and writing on it is to stick, though with the right screen protector it's nicer. If reMarkable 2 is the best fit writing experience (and I think it is) I think that the Note Air is 80% there. I haven't tried it with the speed screen protector yet. If all you want to do is write or draw in well lit areas reMarkable is your device. But for me the front light was the biggest factor in my work and home setup, and I don't feel like I'm losing out when I'm writing. Hope this helps
Thank you, JB! This is a very helpful video, which makes me want to stick with my rM2 order (batch 6). What I like with hhe rM compared to the Android running devices: you usually have a preview of the page the stored document versus a pdf-icon and the file name.
Awesome content JB, again. I have the rm2 marker + coming with my pre-order, but I really like the feel of my Lamy fountain pen for everything analog. This will probably be my next addition, just hope they will make the eraser function operable on the remarkable 2.
OK great & enthusiastic work JB, but we are drowning in nuanced videos. For those of us deciding on which of the many units to purchase, any chance of doing a Grid Comparison or Decision Tree? Your are right it depends on Usage vs. Cost vs. Size, but other factors as well. Not sure how you could present something like this in a video (other than a link below) . . . . just don't know how you find the time for all this AND running a business as well. Congratulations on all your dynamo efforts.
Thanks you know Voja at My Deep Guide is doing his normal VERY deep review so I can going to let him rock it next week. Then I am planning a discussion on what his pluses and minuses are etc... so about 7 days we should have some cool thoughts and I LOVE the idea of a matrix etc.... thanks for the thoughts.
Am I the only one seeing that when you write on the Lumi or the Air there is some refreshing when you end up writing on it - like you wrote the A and a second after it refreshes and cleans the A you wrote. I am not sure if you write on it for more than a few minutes (on some meeting for more than an hour) you will have any problems with your eyes with this refreshing thing. What do you think?
That refresh was noted in MyDeepGuide review of Lumi. Check it out. Some people have a problem with it. I happen to think it’s cool. Also, that refresh will work with the shapes tool to make lines and shapes straight and jagged free.
Hi - there is no easy way of comparing these 3 devices for these features 1. Can you add keyboard input text on a PDF i.e. on the document, not a hidden annotation 2. Can you convert hand-written notes to text a) on editing a PDF b) on a note 3) Are there templates for a) todo list and , if so, are there different types of todo list template b) calendar 4) Can you read Kindle books on the device? 5) Can you listen to Audible books? 6) What's the normal use battery life? 7) Can you connect a bluetooth keyboard? Can anyone answer please? Many thanks. Kind regards, Graham
Thank you for doing this video. Your quality and skill at videography definitely went +++. Onyx case I agree I don’t like the sticky back however I like that it turns on automatically when you open it. Can’t put any magnet in the back because it interferes with writing thus why reMarkable out magnets on the side of the case rather than the back. The only solution I can think of is using extra thin Velcro. It great to see up close the lag of each device. For some people like me I can see the difference but in the end it important to each individual if it bothers them. I think for some people the idea of having the convenience of having all in one device is why they look at onyx air. I think this is a mistake like me buying the Swiss pocket knife with over 50 tools. Sure it has almost everything you want but doesn’t mean squat if the tool you use the most isn’t designed for well. For me, it was the scissor :-( if reading is your primary goal sure onyx air and Lumi is great. I still believe the reMarkable still has an edge (albeit it getting tinier with time) in writing experience and in distraction-free simplicity and reliability. Now to the next discussion. Any “Dead pixel”? This is where you have the advantage of owning a unit. You can see in the long term if there is a quality control problem. And if the dead pixel debate is a dead-end discussion. Keep up the good work and looking forward to your next video
Thank you A little better every video still got a ways to go that top camera is a Panasonic GH five with a manual focus and I just got a small screen to really test focus but I’m getting there
Great comparisons. I noticed you installed the screen protectors on the Boox devices. Any hints on how you did them. Sounds like they are a real pain to get right.
My hack to avoid dust underneath is to do it in the bathroom after showering and when all the steam went out. That's the most dust free area in your house. Otherwise you need a lot of patience. I think they deliver the cheap ones, so for this size it's really a nightmare to get them on 100% properly.
Thanks for another insightful video, JB. Since you said you are still learning the ways of UA-cam, I would like to share a small suggestion for future videos. When you took the videos of you writing with the pens the camera angle made your hand hide some of the things you wrote. Maybe next time you could try a different camera angle, to compensate for the hand hiding the screen and stylus tip. I believe Voja has a good camera angle for those shots, so maybe set your gear up like he does. Otherwise, really good video, and it’s nice to see you constantly improve the quality of your videos. keep up the good work 🙏🙏
Great comparison video. Real pioneering work. One question: did all the styli have their original factory nibs? I just ask because you did mention the ninja trick with the Lamy.
When I finally get my rm2, I am probably going to spend way too much on styluses. I wonder if the new staedtler with the eraser that's coming out will work since the lamy's eraser didn't
Very interesting! It looks like the Onyx products both kind of refresh strokes after they are drawn to make them smoother. Looked like the reMarkable didn't do the stroke refresh. That was extremely helpful to see - it would drive me crazy to see that mini refresh each time I write something.
@@morningcoach here is the link to the post explaining how to disable the writting refresh. facebook.com/groups/412383002527997/permalink/1079694309130193 I can't test it myself, because I don't currently have a note taking Boox. I'll get mine when the Note3 is available.
Does the remarkable still have that dumb cloud file management system? Not being able to manage my own files without the cloud is a dealbreaker for me.
@@lazyman1011 how is the Note Air? I'm considering reluctantly switching because of a change in my work situation. On the hacks: I am completely illiterate on the whole thing. It still only took me 5 minutes. The instructions are easier than figuring out how to get the Google play store on the Onyx device!
@@cobeyguy5532 Still waiting for delivery. Shure everything is prepared and well documented, but I don't want to hack each feature I need and do it again after a update etc.
Hi, thank you for the work are you doing for all of us :) I have a precise question and I really don't know who I have to ask, I'll really really appreciate if you help me. I'm a medical student and I really need a device to take notes on during clinical introduction and to study on pdf, so I really want something that feels like proper paper and is able to highlight/take notes on pdf. I have already tried to use the ipad pro but the writing expirience (both the glass surface and the kind of sluggish writing) doesn't fit me. I'm not interested in backlight or smart options... I just need to replace the extreme amount of notes that I'm producing, organize them and study on pdfs. Which one is the better choice?
Mario I think you have to go with the Onyx BOOX MAX Lumi - it handles PDFs an does a lot it is just huge. - amzn.to/3ojQVlt if not then Note Air is my second choice - amzn.to/3hP51ZJ
@@morningcoach I tried the onyx but i really don't like the writing feel. I am a big fan of the normal ballpoint pens but, very often, I use a soft pad for writing. I noticed that the A5 supernote could reproduce this feeling better. Can you confirm it?
@@morningcoach great thank you... with my use case i think i will go with a combination of note air and rM2 pen... since based on your feedback with that setup along with screen protector,, it won't feel glassy and would feel more paper like, correct ?
@@theproteinfactory3076 I'm actually considering the same duo. Got my note air coming by the end of the week. Also like the fact that the eraser on the back works well on the note air as well.
@@asultani123 yeah, based on the reviews here and on fb and reddit groups, if using the screen protector with remarkable pen the writing experience is pretty similar (rM2 might be slightly better) but the experience is really close. plus all the other flexibility and reading features of the note air. which will make it a winner in my book as i am looking for only 1 eink device for reading and note taking.
Hi JB! Quick question - does the Staedler pencil stylus magnetically stick to the sides of the RM2 / Air? Or does the magnetic attachment only work for the original pens?
@@lazyman1011 If the magnet magic fails you still have the option to buy those sticky elastic pen holders that are meant for Paper Notebooks :) I paste them for years on Tablet PCs because a device with a pen but no way to attach it? unpractical product design... The same unpractical design as BLACK styli - just leave it on a dark table or under your sofa: You'll have a hard time finding it (yes, that happens a lot to me) :)
@@ArtAntiDe The stickable holder sleeve comes with the cover. But i want magnet plus eraser, so I will directly go with the Lamy or Steadler XL and glue a magnet to them.
Can I get away with reading scientific papers on the Onyx Air/Note 3 or do I need the Lumi? I need to annotate or at least highlight and don't like using my ipad 12.9 Pro. I haven't found a decent PDF viewer for the ipad still. Could you load a journal article in PDF on the Air and Lumi for comparison, maybe viewing 1 column on the Air is the way to go. Also, how does a kindle book look on the Lumi, I'd think it's nicer on the Air.
I think the Lumi is the best PDF reader it is big, has a lot of functionality and you can use a few different readers. The LUMI is not good for book reading as it is too big it gets a little uncomfortable. You could get by with the AIR it is better for books, but not as good for PDF's you really need a larger device if you are getting into large pdfs..... the LUMI is amazing if that is your primary function and grab a Kobo or Kindle for reading books. I will do a video soon - thanks
JB I’m curious about comparison of the feel writing with these devices vs writing on actual paper. I think I heard or read someone say the RM2 is like writing with a PENCIL on paper. What I would prefer is the feel of a gel rollerball pen on paper. So in such a scenario, would the RM be too scratchy? Would the Onyx options provide a more comparable feel? Currently I use notability on an 11” iPad Pro with a matte screen protector and I like it, but I’m contemplating having a dedicated note taking device on the side. Have you tried a matte screen on your iPad, if so how does that compare to the Onyx? Thanks. Great videos. You and Voja are a real credit to this nascent community.
Yes I have tried the matte wasn't a big fan as I didn't like me screen matte that was the only reason. HEHEH You know it is really hard to guide you to the perfect device I think you will have to try some of the styluses with each to figure out what works the best. They are such different devices. The RM2 is like a piece of art. The Onyx are great but NOT an iPad. If you are used to that speed the Onyx will be just different. I know that doesn't help much but it is really hard as they are all so different.
@@morningcoach thanks. Yeah I have a RM2 on order, batch 8. My plan is to make use of the 30 day ‘trial’ and see if it works for me. I’m not looking to replace the iPad as a whole, just the note taking aspect. I’m not a fan of using a pencil or even a standard ballpoint pen on paper though - I prefer the feel of those gel roller balls. I did try getting the Apple Pencil pentip covers and although they smooth and quieten the writing, they aren’t a nice feeling either or glass or on a matte screen. So I ruled that out. Using just the Apple pencil on a matte screen is definitely way better than directly on the glass, I’m with you on that. Will let you know when I get to try the RM2.

Good to know the remarkable pen works great on Air, but how do you get one if you don't have a Remarkable device? Checked their website, doesn't seem to sell the pen separately 😓
JB, this is one of your most helpful videos. I was really curious about each of these styluses. Thank you! How did each feel in the hand, especially over time?
Hey JB, been watching your videos from the not so sunny Northern Ireland for quite a while now and have always found them really informative. I’m currently waiting on my RM2 to be delivered. Do you know if there’s any third party stylus’s that have an eraser function in the same way the new RM2 stylus has?
@@morningcoach yes I had seen that one when I was looking at the standard STAEDTLER Noris but it had said on its compatibility page that the eraser wasn’t compatible, so will be very interested to see how you get on. Thanks for the reply btw 👍🏻
@@morningcoach I'm thinking about fabing my own perfect stylus. I'm going to take the big staedleter, with eraser, drill some small holes and put in N52 magnets, then paint them yellow or black. The staedleter has a flat surface to accommodate the magnets. These strong magnets will likely stick very well to Boox Air. Then, I'm going to use Remarkable nibs. BUT is there a difference between RM1 and RM2 nibs? I'm assuming they are the same?
Hey JB great video, a question I have is as the air pen and the premium remarkable pen are both magnetic. Does the remarkable pen stick magneticley to the side of the air 🤔. I don't like the nib on the air but I can't switch it for the lamy or the remarkable (I have tried) but I do like the magnetic attachment.

Hey All. New to the e-paper world. Curious if there is any wighted, thick , metal ball point pen type of stylus? My favorite writing pen is a weighted quick flow ball point pen and hoping to find something with a similar feel. Lamy looks more like a marker then a ball point pen
Have a look at the metal Supernote pen and it's reviews. But keep in mind Supernote has a special screen, explained on there website. You may scratch other devices really quick with it.
@@lazyman1011 Thanks for the suggestion! The pen tip being designed like the replacement ink cartridge is creative to providing that pen like balance. Wondering if it would scratch the remarkable 2 pen nibs at all (but guessing it won't)
Thanks for the video, would have LOVED for you to leave the writing for each of them on the screen at the same time to compare... Why didn't you do that? You could have had... Line 1: This is the default pen Line 2: This is the remarkable pen Line 3: This is the Staedtler pen etc.... Maybe an update with that? They don't all look the same and it would be great to have the overall comparison. Thanks so much!
Except for that ugly screen protector and probably some more latency, Air looks better than RM2. The software makes the difference (I’m talking about the note taking software end e-books, I don’t care about videos etc). Does it mean that: - goodereader was right? - I must cancel my RM2 preorder (batch 8)? I still have some time but, unless RM2 releases a new software, I will probably cancel. 😥
LM just depends - I hate that answer!!!! But it depends on WHAT you are going to use it for. With that said the Air is AWESOME love it - but damn the RM2 is a piece of art - what hardware.... but if you are doing more then notes, need the light - then goodereader was right.
@@morningcoach You are so right: RM2 is a piece of art and I bought it with my eyes. Now my ‘slow thinking’ says I’d also need DRM e-books (and get rid of my Paperwhite). Any idea why they do not support DRM? 😥

Thank you for your videos. Compared to many channels it feels like I get really valuable information on this channel especially when it comes to truthfully realistic assessment of the presented devices. Anyway I have one special request: For us scientists it is mandatory to read and organise a lot of research papers which normally come as pdf and are handled using reference managers. A very popular one is zotero which allows sync between all devices and provides an android application to do the same "Zoo For Zotero". Could you possibly make a review about this app for the different e-Ink devices (supporting android) and how well papers can be read on such devices. In case you need a zotero account with existing papers/references I am happy to provide you access to mine. Greetings from Germany!
Your handwriting doesn't suit these kinds of videos. ._. Also your hand is in the way too much. But thanks for the footage anyway. The jagged look on rM2 worries me... I thought it looked more real. Is the footage in the trailer fake? 7:58 What the hell was that?! It does look a bit better when it's blurred on the Onyx but that refresh that takes a second is horrible. 11:20 NOW you noticed!? I also observe slightly "tremor" of the horizontal lines when using the Marker Plus, but this is almost not present when using Staedler. And btw the eraser on Staedler Noris Jumbo works perfectly on the RM2!!!
YES so cool I have to buy another Stylus YOU are spending my money HAHAHAHAH thanks so much :) Great comment!! (Just ordered it)
@@morningcoach Well I bought the Sacred 6 Audible Book recently, so hopefully this will help not get you busted...

I was looking for this news about the Noris Jumbo eraser. Thanks!
@@lm5560 I will have it in a few days :)
YES YES YES I was going to do that - please let me know if that works :)
Samsung s -pen tab s4, s6 lite and s7 also work well in remarkable 1 and max lumi
Received my remarkable 2 on 2 days ago. I was in Group 3. Arrived 2 days after DHL text.
They had previously said mid-November
2. Been looking everywhere for the Lamy. It doesn't seem to be available in Canada... anywhere. Very sad.
Yeah the lamy is a good one. There is a gentleman that sells them on the community channel here let me see if I can get a hold of Brian for you
@@morningcoach Thanks! Much appreciated!
I just received my Note Air and completely agree with your assessment with the stylus. I feel like I'm scraping on a blackboard. I'm not a heavy writer so I took another poster's recommendation (from one of your previous videos) and bought a nib cover
It finally arrived. 8 months later i have the reMarkable2. Now to put it to work.
You happy with it so far?
@@Nekotaku_TV I really am. That screen and the writing experience matched what i hoped for. Seeing all the full android devices distracted me from my original reason for wanting the device. Last night i had my phone on next to the reMarkable and it clicked...I want to unplug and to have the device support my thought processes. That refocused me on my purchase. Like JB I have tablets and phones for other things. This device is for a specific purpose and so far it seems phenomenal.
Thanks, JB. Another good technical mashup of all the popular tablets and optional styluses. I'm going to stick with the RM2.
Great video as always JB. For me, the reMarkable2 marker plus is the best with that smooth drawing and also have an eraser.
Regards from Spain!!
Thanks Shane 👊🏼
Shane, how would you describe the writing experience on Note Air vs your experience with the reMarkable?
Fascinating comparison!
Thanks for your work!
Thank you!!!
thanks again for a nice video. appreciate all your work!
My pleasure!
Great!!!! The best!! I needed this video!! I just bought a Onyx Max3 an wanted a better stylus. Definently buying the Staedtler
Hi - there is no easy way of comparing these 3 devices for these features
1. Can you add keyboard input text on a PDF i.e. on the document, not a hidden annotation
2. Can you convert hand-written notes to text
a) on editing a PDF
b) on a note
3) Are there templates for
a) todo list and , if so, are there different types of todo list template
b) calendar
4) Can you read Kindle books on the device?
5) Can you listen to Audible books?
6) What's the normal use battery life?
7) Can you connect a bluetooth keyboard?
Can anyone answer please? Many thanks.
Kind regards,

Thank you the community is helping for sure!!! :)
When zoomed out, screens were very blurry. Great comparison though
Yes they did I didn’t throw in the rM nib in but it does really work great....
When I finally get my rm2, I am probably going to spend way too much on styluses. I wonder if the new staedtler with the eraser that's coming out will work since the lamy's eraser didn't
HEHEH like me
Just got the batch 5 preparing to ship email!
Very interesting! It looks like the Onyx products both kind of refresh strokes after they are drawn to make them smoother. Looked like the reMarkable didn't do the stroke refresh. That was extremely helpful to see - it would drive me crazy to see that mini refresh each time I write something.
Glad it helped!!!!

Coach - Is that the RM1 nib, RM2 nib, or both that works with the Staedler/Lamy? Thank you!!
Hi, thank you for the work are you doing for all of us :)
I have a precise question and I really don't know who I have to ask, I'll really really appreciate if you help me.
@@morningcoach thank you for your answer 🙏🏻
@@morningcoach I tried the onyx but i really don't like the writing feel. I am a big fan of the normal ballpoint pens but, very often, I use a soft pad for writing. I noticed that the A5 supernote could reproduce this feeling better. Can you confirm it?
does rM2 marker sticks good on note air ? would it fall if you shake it or does it stick as good as it does on rM2 device ?
Yes it is really strong - I think the magnet is stronger in it :)
Please post here If you remind a link to the rM2 black pen and it's nibs.
Hi JB! Quick question - does the Staedler pencil stylus magnetically stick to the sides of the RM2 / Air? Or does the magnetic attachment only work for the original pens?
NO it doesn't I think the magnet is in the PEN itself - that is why the Air Stylus is weak really weak magnet - thanks for asking
@@morningcoach Aha, I see, that makes sense. Thanks for replying!
@@DerekPankaew It uses a really cheap small ringmagnet. But I will mod mine or better mod a Steadler to hold on the Air.

Hey All. New to the e-paper world. Curious if there is any wighted, thick , metal ball point pen type of stylus? My favorite writing pen is a weighted quick flow ball point pen and hoping to find something with a similar feel. Lamy looks more like a marker then a ball point pen

Except for that ugly screen protector and probably some more latency, Air looks better than RM2. The software makes the difference (I’m talking about the note taking software end e-books, I don’t care about videos etc).
Does it mean that:

Thanks going to try as we grow the channel tough to do it - thanks :)
Thank you for your videos. Compared to many channels it feels like I get really valuable information on this channel especially when it comes to truthfully realistic assessment of the presented devices.
Anyway I have one special request:
For us scientists it is mandatory to read and organise a lot of research papers which normally come as pdf and are handled using reference managers.
