It does seem that there is a lot of people out there who prefers the mavic 2 pro over the zoom, because of the better 20MP camera. However to be fair I do like both drone but will take the zoom over the pro any day. The zoom feature is cool in my opinion coupled with the less noisy props makes it that you can get opportunities to get great shots without disturbing the surroundings. The price is the next factor too. I don't own a drone currently but Im planning to purchase a zoom soon.
Great info. Another feature of Zoom is in 1080p mode you can not only zoom 24=>48=>but also 96mm which is quite a bit more Zoomph than the 48 mm. The 96 mm Zoom is part optical last part digital but you can’t tell the difference.
I think the zoom is truly best for those who enjoy recording wildlife. And that is mainly what I enjoy searching for when I fly around my mountain. Still a difficult choice on what one to buy , that if I decide to upgrade at all. The MP has soon in 1080 for doing pics . Not sure if I want to start all over again buying stuff to fit this drone, depends on what I get out of my Mavic Pro.
Seems like the pro is great for low light and photos and the zoom is great for video options and the high res photos but will lack at low light without the variable aperture. And just a tip so you don’t have to write or mark what side of your car has the gas cap. There is a little arrow by your gas gauge that points to the side it’s on if you can’t remember. Lol
Just purchased the Zoom. I see all this info was posted 2 years ago. I hope the M2 Zoom is still a good choice I don't regret buying. Thanks for the info!
I literally had the DJI Mavic Pro in my Amazon shopping cart yesterday! I was making my budget list for a loan...I am definitely changing for the Zoooooom! 😀👍
HI THERE AWSMMMMM VIDEO!!JUST WANNA KNOW IF ONE CAN TRANSFER THE IMAGES AND VIDEOS STRAIGHT TO OUR PHONES FROM THE DRONE.. BYPASSING THE COMPUTER???THANKS IN ADVANCE
The Mavic Zoom will zoom from 24 mm to 48 mm optically for all video sizes BUT will zoom 24 to 48 optically (which is 2X) and adds digital zoom from 48 mm to 96 mm (an additional 2X Zoom) if you film in 1080p. So you have 4X Zoom which is really more exciting than 2X. With the improved lens 1080p just does not look that bad with this zoom camera. If you don’t like 1080p at 24 FPS then try it at 30 FPS. The difference of 1080 p compared to 2.7K or 4K is not that great if you are using iPad or computer monitor screen for what you get with 4X Zoom. The Zoom adds more functionality to the drone than the one inch sensor. Suppose you are searching for object lost on you trek through grassland, Park, or desert. Or for animal or family member. Which drone would provide most practical help?
Idk what to choose!! I'm town between the mavic 2 pro and mavic 2 pro, I owned 2 dji drones in the past, the P4P+ and a mavic pro, what should I get?!?
If you have the time please make a video on the Zoom custom profiles. I remember there were a ton of videos on that regarding the original Mavic and the Air. You know, turn sharpness down quite a bit, saturation and contrast as well, then adjust in the post for best image quality. Does this apply to the Zoom (since the sensor is the same...), thank you.
Something wrong with colors with the DjI Mavic 2 Zoom, I guess for better result we should record raw then color it. I like the zooming but not the colors.
I have had my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom for 2 years. I like to take photo shots more so than video. I went into the settings of taking 3,5, or 7 burst shots thinking It would stitch them together What I found out was I was getting 3,5 or 7 pictures of the same thing, not having them stitched together. I even went into the "AEB" mode and selected 3 pictures. When I took a picture it would take 3 shots and it looked like it was stitching things together UNTIL I plugged my drone into my computer and found nothing stitched together. What am I doing wrong....
just returned my air to upgrade to mavic 2 zoom. the Air had constant wifi interference/weak signal issues limiting its range, and flight time was too short for practical use.
Great Review!!! The confusing door thing varies. I would ALWAYS hold the drone in a certain way and then flip it. The belly faces me, camera on top, I know exactly which door is memory card slot. Sometimes one just need to pay a little bit more attention to details. :D
don't have to for it to work with controller but is a good practice to avoid notifications coming up during flight, and you phone battery will last longer.
Someone told me that the Mavic 2 Zoom uses the same sized sensor like old Mavic Pro. But the sensor types are different. Maybe the new type in Mavic 2 Zoom has better image quality. And the bit rate is 100 Mb which is higher than old one. Maybe it will also improve the image quality of the footage.
Mavic 2 Zoom with only 2 color profile choices. Hope your a good editor or are in love with color choice normal. I find it boring and flat. My Autel Evo gives me a lot more choices as a non editor for color profiles. Slightly less expensive to buy the Evo, and the zoom being only digital is not as Impressive.
I ordered the Zoom from China too, at the black Friday discounted price. It took just about a month to arrive due to the California fires. It finally came, it's an awesome drone. I have the P4P that has the 1" sensor camera so I didn't need the pro 2. I now have the Zoom with ocusync which was the difference maker for me.
I don’t get the whole dolly zoom craze.. haven’t people been doing this in post for ages now? With their current drones.. I even watched a tutorial the other day about it, and it’s incredibly easy to pull off..

gpierre90 Did you get one yet?

Heck ya!! Good choice! Great thing you waited
I still have to apply and get the loan but i am pretty confident it will happen within 3 months! :)
@@groovymotion5706 What is the loan?
@@MinerMends it was a business loan.
Probably the best move you could make for real

Yes you can! But certain settings no. I think lower resolutions you can!
@@connormccaskill THANKS A TON ...BIG HUG
I wish I could afford one of these. Seems like a lot of fun.

Best info I have seen so far. Thank you! I would still go with the Mavic 2 Pro for the sensor...
Thank you! We will have a top ten of that one coming soon! I’m with you on that for sure!
Idk what to choose!! I'm town between the mavic 2 pro and mavic 2 pro, I owned 2 dji drones in the past, the P4P+ and a mavic pro, what should I get?!?
Number 11 to know.... if you set the camera to 1080p and 30fps you get 24 to 96 mm zoom... yes 96mm
If you have the time please make a video on the Zoom custom profiles. I remember there were a ton of videos on that regarding the original Mavic and the Air. I agree. The colors appear mushy .
Yeah theire is this feature to move your camera to left and right wich is quite 😎
*cool sry
Thank you for posting this video, I'm still debating on which one to purchase between the Zoom and the Pro.
Can the mavic 2 zoom shoot high resolution pointing straight down?
I have had my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom for 2 years. I like to take photo shots more so than video.

*GREAT RIGHT AFTER I JUST BOUGHT THE AIR*
The air is a toy when it goes against the mavic pro
just returned my air to upgrade to mavic 2 zoom. the Air had constant wifi interference/weak signal issues limiting its range, and flight time was too short for practical use.

Lol yes! I’m sure with time I’ll remember.
2 LED'S come on when you land, can they be turned on manually and how?
You freaking had them for a month!! Dang guys. Y'all are getting the secrete stuff now! Keep it up
i like the dolly zoom effect
ill go for the zoom
The Zoom is great and at 4K it zooms 24mm to 48mm and in 1080p it zooms from 24mm to 96mm.........pretty cool, WOW!! So you actually 4X Zoom!!
I'm going with the zoom
Good chouce
question pls ! do I need to turn wiFi off or put my phone into airplane while I'm connected to the drone ?
don't have to for it to work with controller but is a good practice to avoid notifications coming up during flight, and you phone battery will last longer.
Which would be better for photography??
The Mavic 2 Pro is better in every way except for not having the ability to zoom
It’s the exact same sensor but there are other upgrades that make the image better
The Dolly Zoom effect is awesome. I loved it ever since seeing it used in films decades ago.
Your channel is growing very fast....great
Wow thank you. We’re working our butts off and hope in a few years it will pay off
the zoom effect can be done in post on pull out or push in shots. plus.. it's a stupid effect if there's no story behind it.
Thanks for just talking and providing clean information.
You cannot do the log in this mavic zoom only cinelike
Just buy a g7 and a balloon. This bad boy can also do 4k 30 at 100mbps
Where is parrallex effect..??
I wish DJI would have made a little bigger controller
Ya

this is the same sensor like in mavic air? huh
Yup!
saw this video a bit too late as i already ordered the Zoom and it's on its way from China.. however it basically just confirmed my choice :)

Well yes you can do it in post but with an optical zoom it’s much better. Focal lengths have different types of image compression
Mavic 3 butterfly pro... sign me up.
Ooooooover rated
Zooooom!
Hey man I think someone is stealing your videos and clamming it’s your account
Its going by the user name DJI Drone Gurus
Mavic 2 Zoom cannot shoot D-Log. Only D-Cinelike.
It could, if DJI let it. It's an artificial software limitation, rather than due to the Hardware.
You speak to fast😬😬😬
Active track sucks..
So does sushi!!
