still can't believe Intel bailed on this gem of content. glad AMD picked up their slack. this content is some of the most fun stuff i get to watch.
When they talked about it last time it sounded like the corporate machine just moved to slow to approve more episodes and AMD swooped in very quickly.
Most of my Intel approval came from Intel extreme tech upgrade. You don't have to be Einstein to figure out what happened next 😂😂
They didnt bail they were contracted for X amount of them and then AMD stepped in when intel was swapping CEOs

He gets his sponsor to basically donate a huge bonus to his employees and he makes a video on it which in turn, makes money for the company.
Its great content too because the way linus and his employees interact, is hilarious. It's also informative content.

I feel insurance companies wont cover adults because adults are responsible and take care of their teeth after. Kids sometimes need to get extra sets because they dont wear their retainers

Something I'd love to see the Lab do, would be to check out office chairs and (allegedly) high-end gaming chairs and compare them against their claims, as well as different standards (E.G. ISO 24496:2021), like good quality/working lumbar support.
gonna be honest, of all the upgrades ive seen on the channel, this is the most phenomenalone. An absolute synergy between everyone involved and a vibe that i wolud almost say unmatched, along side a stutherless progress during the whole thing. Absolute wonder, 11/10
I love that the Ultimate Upgrade vidoes still get intros. I understand the bad viewer retention might have caused them to go away, but the LTT intro was always my favorite.

This series is great for so many reasons. It shows that even a large company such as LMG cares about their people. Then we also get a small glimps into the lives of the people that keep the company going! Keep up the great work and so glad AMD cared enough to continue the series
Adam has the best tech upgrade overall so far because he updated his setup, living room, AND picked up a pretty great Espresso machine to dip his toes into the coffee world! I also have the Gaggia Classic!

As a customer support rep myself,i am glad adam got his upgrade. I bet he deals with many karens too😂
I've been in the CSR industry and specially in Tech Support you'll average about 5-10 karens a shift(and that's low if you're lucky). Makes you want to smoke 2 ciggs in a 15 mins break after dealing with them hahaha
@@6vastolorde6 It probably varies by the company, but the people I deal with as a tech support rep are usually pretty alright. You'll get one bad egg in a good batch but for the most part people are kind. However, my support line is Business To Business (specifically helping CPA firm employees) and thus would be more calm than interacting the public.

This is one of the best ones. During all these, I always feel like 5k could go way longer, but the people choose the over-the-top components that waste the budget. But not Adam, he showed us how far a 5000 stretches and it stretches REAL GOOD.

That had to be one of the more efficient/effective uses of the $5000 upgrade I've seen in quite a while.
This is my first video with Adam, and I gotta say, dude seems like the nicest person. He comes off polite and humble, and I could definitely see myself playing Double Dash all day with him. So far, everyone at LMG gives off the most positive vibes.

I love this series. Will say linus is one of the few channels i watch that put out a ton of great content but this is definitely my favorite genre on LTT. Hopefully we will get many more tech upgrade episodes and get them more often. Thank you linus for always putting out great content for us nerds haha

It's just smart spending. He got a killer bang for buck GPU instead of paying almost double for a bit more of performance for the 4090.

By far the best upgrade yet. This was super wholesome and sensible. Dude came beyond prepared and didn’t go all Willy Nilly with it.
The Texh Upgrade is also a super smart investment in the future of the channel. Like who can be a host infront of the camera as well, who is maybe a natural talent and a crowd pleaser.
And it also shows how huge the company actually is and how many people it takes to run such a huge channel.
There are just so many wins in this one section. These are by far my favourite videos on this channel or maybe any channel.

I love these videos so much. I really appriciate the staff who aren't usually on the camera, agreeing to have cameras and their house broadcast. I know they get 5,000 worth of stuff, but they don't just take the money. They really try to put them selves out there, make some good content, and let us get to know them

one of my useless hobbies is to set budgets and imagine what I could perfectly spend the non-existing money on, e.g. pc setups for 500$ or a setup for 2000$ and so on - this video was pure satisfaction for me!

Feels like the new build I finally did for myself coming from a 2012~ X79 build this May. Bought the Case, Cooler, and a few other bits back in 2020 just waiting until I could finally get the parts I wanted for a new rig.
I have the Gaggia Classic Pro and it is an excellent espresso appliance. Highly recommend the pressure spring mod, which is super easy and makes a big difference. Also, most will tell you that you want to spend more on the grinder. On that front, i have a eureka mignon specialita and really like it! Good purchases!
Adam seems like a great guy to work with. Making this judgement on how he speaks to other people, tone and politeness. Could just be 'new-ish to being on video again' jitters, but I'll put $ on it being just who he is :)
The Gaggia is pretty solid for a first espresso machine. Hopefully he has a grinder that can do espresso grind.
Gaggia is pretty much the ideal starting machine if you have any interest in getting into the weeds/trying to get coffee shop results. Most of the other options in the range don't accept a standard basket or have easily serviceable/modifiable parts.
Honestly, with how much modding the thing allows for (unofficially, of course), he could easily turn that thing into the equivalent of a $3,000 machine if he does things right.

This is by far the best series on the channel. I love getting to see the other employees and get a peak into their actual personal lives. It’s real, unique and really fun/funny.

He totally reminds me my brother 😢 damn I miss him 17 years has passed since that last time I saw him in person, I moved to Canada from Mexico only because I was born in Canada but then I was taken to Mexico when I was 2 years old because my parents are from mexico, and when I was 19 I left everything behind to move to Canada,

I will say Linus is really lucky to have great staff like Adam working with him. You can tell he loves what he does and will continue to do the best he can possibly do.

This is my favorite ultimate upgrade video so far. Not only was Adam quite the host but he also made some great selections showing what’s possible without extravagance. I’m also appreciating the added text inserts on the latest videos helping give viewers context. Great job LTT Team!

to be honest, out of all the tech upgrades, this one is my favorite. That living room upgrade was really classy, the way that center console actually "centered" the tv and bookshelves changed the room fung shwei night and day.
This video also just taught me about the plastic thing for M.2's. Definitely not a thing last time I did one either.
David has gotten better with his production quality. I know he was outstanding before, but he's just better now. The way he brought the ram shot into focus like that, that can't be as easy as he made it seem. Anyway, just thought I'd mention this since the guy behind the camera, especially when it's not Brandon, might sometimes get overlooked.

As a future note to Linus and the team, you can use a steam account to download over a local network from one computer to another. We loaded BG3 to my computer from my cousin's in about 15 minutes over the local network when my internet was out so my friend and I could play over the LAN.
So you didn't need to take out the SSD from the laptop to speed it up lol
Though, the update still would have been required.
That would still take a lot longer than copying it straight from the NVMe SSD. 1Gbps network is only 125MB/s
I think they knew that already, because if I recall correctly they use that exact method for the LAN event
Honestly the setting should be ON by default since it is so useful. It's also a great way to save that bandwidth, especially if you have a monthly cap.
I'd love to see more of Collin in future videos. He adds a dynamic that I didn't think was needed haha
Gaggia Classic, got the same one for my wife. It's a solid machine, really easy to repair and modify, but stifled a bit by the small single boiler. You gotta work to pull consistent shots, but it's perfect if you like an analogue experience.

28:00 you can do steam local network sharing to download an installed game from another machine on the same LAN - managed to get 130MB/s doing that recently!

FYI if you setup multiple devices on the same network, Steam will download it from your other network machine. Been doing that with my Ally for a while and its saved me sooo much time.

LTT store is usually spot on. The only problem I ever had with them was last year during the holidays you were supposed to get a free set of shoe strings in 4 months later another box of shoe strings came along. Apparently you're supposed to get two of them. Adam help me out and assured me that it wasn't ordered by mistake
