    Beautiful.! Did u enjoy shooting the wedding? I use to do that, hated it. It was before digital. People walking in front of your shot, flash bulbs, demanding relatives. Yuk. The last one lasted 12 hours all went well at the wedding. Came home dumped everything in a chair. Woke up a couple hours later and everything was gone. Cameras, strobes, and FILM. All the film. Called the cop, thinking maybe I didn't bring it home. But 2 days later discovered my toddler hid all of it under his toys in his toy box. The responsibility was too much. Crazy

      Not sure about the high fine, but people must drive directly to Alaska within the time allotted from the entry point. No travelling, just straight driving. People given a special permit and are expected to check in upon arrival in Alaska. Canada does NOT want a coronavirus spike.

      thanks for the heads up. That fine seems way high!! We wont be going into Canada until things are back to normal....meaning travel is allowed.

    What is the difference between Boondocking and camping and where did that word come from?

    • @oneadVANtureatatime
      @oneadVANtureatatime  3 роки тому

      +Tom C
      This should clear it up😂
      The definition of boondocking is camping, in an RV, for free, outside of an established campground, without hookups or access to other amenities.
      Dry Camping is camping, in an RV, without any hookups.
      Dispersed Camping is camping in an RV, a tent, or without any form of shelter, for free, outside of an established campground, on public land (owned by some level of government), without hookups, or access to other amenities.

      Hi Kathy! As long as you keep your propane bottle in a sealed box with a vent that goes down through the floor it is safe. We made a box in the home depot parking lot 😂(we have a video on it somewhere) So far our propane system has worked well and we wish we would have started our build with it. 😀

    Are you prepared for an encounter with a threatening wild animal such as a bear or mountain lion? If yes, what do you carry for defense? Have you ever encountered a threatening wild animal?

    • @oneadVANtureatatime
      @oneadVANtureatatime  4 роки тому

      We have not had any threatening encounters with wildlife. We are aware of our settings and are mindful of the areas that we are staying in. We do carry bear spray and a knife. I do encourage others to research this topic and know how to protect themselves. We just encountered a moose with 2 babies on our recent backpacking trip....we let her know we were there and gave her the space she needed. She took her time and eventually moved along with her babies. Meanwhile we had an escape plan and a plan of action if she suddenly felt threatened. Thankfully we have not had any encounters!

      @@oneadVANtureatatime something you might look into as an upgrade. If you can get a locker for the rear. It better than limited slip and can get you put some bad situations when its slick conditions. I have the G 80 locker on my chevy express.Love watching you guys.

      Our van is not lifted and we built HEAVY!! It does great off road (i chalk a great deal of this up to the driver) It DOES NOT do well in sand!!! The front wheel drive likes to dig....traction boards give us piece of mind..... Funny though we needed them before we bought them and now that we have them ......we havent needed them....lol

    • @oneadVANtureatatime
      @oneadVANtureatatime  3 роки тому +1

      +Christina Williams yes usually! But you need to check burn bans or campfire restrictions in the area you plan to be in. And be very careful with BBQ’s .... I only say this because we have seen many fires started this way. We lived in A VERY high fire area in California before we began traveling full time.
