ahah. I'm French. I have this book " je sais cuisiner" (I know how to cook). Lots of recipes. your friend did a great job on the crepe. it is so fun to make crepes...salted...sweet...anything you want to put in it would work.
Patagonia is a small town but has a lovely family owned hotel that I stayed at for 3 days over New Years (since I don’t have a camper) and than drove all around the nature trails and back roads. I too was visited by the Border Patrol, they just checked up on me since I was a female on my own out there taking pictures. I even waved at their helicopter and they saluted back. There is a house one street off of the Main Street that has loads of bird feeders out for the birds during the winter months and chairs set up for visitors to enjoy watching the birds. Hummingbirds winter over in Patagonia and all the locals feed them. There are lots of other birds to observe.

Decades ago wife and I spent time in Patagonia as guests of a client who specialized in building off grid habitats focused on energy efficiency before few were doing this now popular scheme. He was a retired Arizona state secretary of energy. Norman mailer had horse ranch nearby just over the hill. Helped drag a big round reservoir up my clients hill adjacent to his well. Thought about buying his place (40 acres) after he passed. A superb scientist who we miss very much. Beautiful country indeed.
Very cool Paul! I love how diverse that land is. Mountains/plains and everything in between. I bet this area gets pretty warm in the summer and an energy-efficient home would be super important.

As usual, your photography is amazing!! We recently got a Dji Mavix Air drone. My hubby is learning how to fly it. Your beautiful footage has been our inspiration. I enjoyed watching the cooking portions. I will have to try Caroline's crepes...they look wonderful. She has a beautiful voice and such an interesting story. Today in Clancy MT, we are sitting at a balmy -7 degrees with a foot of snow on the ground. Low tonite will be -20 degrees. We are so ready to get on the road towards the end of February. "ENJOY YOUR SUMMER.... ERR, I MEAN WINTER IN AZ!" LOL. We used to live in Wisconsin and have experienced very cold winters. Once we started snow birding out south here that is one of my favorite sayings as I constantly get mixed up on what exactly season it is. No, you do NOT WANT TO BE THERE DURING THE SUMMER! And even April and May can get intolerable. But to winter there is amazing!
I used to make crepes and, while they were cooking, I would add (for example) roasted chicken, olives and cheese (or any other combination of savory ingredients you prefer) and, once the cheese melted I would close them up forming a square or a half-moon, and served them with some aiolli sauce on top... sooo delicious! I loved your friends and the beauty of that place! Thank you for sharing :)
That sounds like the perfect crepe for Carrie as she prefers savory over sweet. I have not heard of aiolli sauce but will have to check it out. We miss our friends already as they went west and we have started our trek to the east again. 😢

I love crepes! When I lived, worked, traveled through Europe we would go to a little crepe restaurant in France and eat all flavors and fillings! Those crepes Caroline made looked perfect! The problem is we move so much we can’t afford fishing licenses for each state. We hope to spend the summer in Colorado..... I think I’ll buy him a fishing license...... shhhhh

A little warning while you visit us in Arizona, if you see the clouds roll in, you roll out as fast as you can. You might get lucky in the winter but never in the summer, about 2 weeks ago we has a big storm, so you probably missed it. A big storm especially near the boarder will wash your van away, I live about 40 miles from where you were.
@@paulman8239 They are not at the Grand canyon, try 300 miles south, and cars are washed away all the time, people are also trapped in remote places because roads are washed out.
Bob C. Arizona is known as the Grand Canyon State or Copper State. I was just saying most visitors traveling in the southern part of your state probably don't do it in summer when it's 100°.
We were in Patagonia late 2019 and loved the town too. Is the mining changing up the town much? We were unsure where all the truck activity was heading a.m. and p.m. till we asked some locals.

As usual, your photography is amazing!! We recently got a Dji Mavix Air drone. My hubby is learning how to fly it. Your beautiful footage has been our inspiration. I enjoyed watching the cooking portions. I will have to try Caroline's crepes...they look wonderful. She has a beautiful voice and such an interesting story. Today in Clancy MT, we are sitting at a balmy -7 degrees with a foot of snow on the ground. Low tonite will be -20 degrees. We are so ready to get on the road towards the end of February. "ENJOY YOUR SUMMER.... ERR, I MEAN WINTER IN AZ!" LOL. We used to live in Wisconsin and have experienced very cold winters. Once we started snow birding out south here that is one of my favorite sayings as I constantly get mixed up on what exactly season it is. No, you do NOT WANT TO BE THERE DURING THE SUMMER! And even April and May can get intolerable. But to winter there is amazing!
I used to make crepes and, while they were cooking, I would add (for example) roasted chicken, olives and cheese (or any other combination of savory ingredients you prefer) and, once the cheese melted I would close them up forming a square or a half-moon, and served them with some aiolli sauce on top... sooo delicious! I loved your friends and the beauty of that place! Thank you for sharing :)
That sounds like the perfect crepe for Carrie as she prefers savory over sweet. I have not heard of aiolli sauce but will have to check it out. We miss our friends already as they went west and we have started our trek to the east again. 😢

I love crepes! When I lived, worked, traveled through Europe we would go to a little crepe restaurant in France and eat all flavors and fillings! Those crepes Caroline made looked perfect! And you were graced with some beautiful dinner music! Such talent all in one night! Carrie always has an easy campfire meal to show us also. Enjoy and 😋 😋! 🐾🐶🚐✨

Yes! I have never got a crepe at a restaurant as good as these! They were perfect. It's a good thing they are challenging to make or I would eat them too often. 😂

Yes! A win for me. 😂 Although I must admit picking up rocks in the desert can be dangerous. Scorpions and snakes are common once it starts warming up.

Hi Lori. Carrie is using her Canon 80D for the night sky and most landscape pictures.We use a GoPro 7 and an iPhone for most of the vlog. Of course my favorite is our Mavic Air2.

A little warning while you visit us in Arizona, if you see the clouds roll in, you roll out as fast as you can. You might get lucky in the winter but never in the summer, about 2 weeks ago we has a big storm, so you probably missed it. A big storm especially near the boarder will wash your van away, I live about 40 miles from where you were.
Bob C You're a bit of a worry wart. Most travelers don't visit the southern part of the Grand Canyon state during the summer monsoons.

@@paulman8239 They are not at the Grand canyon, try 300 miles south, and cars are washed away all the time, people are also trapped in remote places because roads are washed out.
Bob C. Arizona is known as the Grand Canyon State or Copper State. I was just saying most visitors traveling in the southern part of your state probably don't do it in summer when it's 100°.

We were in Patagonia late 2019 and loved the town too. Is the mining changing up the town much? We were unsure where all the truck activity was heading a.m. and p.m. till we asked some locals.
