i dont think the happy ena at the end was Fully Happy ena. fully sad ena was completely blocky, only had one hair thing, and her colors became grey. the one at the end looks like happy ena masking over the sad side, her face is still split also

It’s probably something like that ena is our vantage point into this world, and one of the most normal acting people up until this point (although obviously still not normal), and so making that vantage point essentially go insane leaves no sanity in this world left to grab onto, and leaves you with nothing but the disturbing scenery, and someone having a mental breakdown. I noticed at the end she turns entirely happy. But I don't understand why. Maybe yellow doesn't necessarily mean happy. When she had a panic attack she just turned completely into the blue ENA side, but was grey. The only other time I see something so colourless on her is when she's gone mad, like when she is drunk, or freaking out and asking to die, etc.

Ik it’s only 2 mins of Ena but there is so much else done by other artists in the video too (modeling, backgrounds, voice acting) and I think it showcases that very well. Plus it opens up more bout the universe and stuff.

It's now canon that ena has social anxiety when it comes to large groups of people. Ena seems fine while with one or two people, but anything above that seems like too much for them
One thing I’ll say is a lot of Ena’s animations takes inspiration from the Talking Heads- Once in a Lifetime music video. Of course the turrón dance but also you know white sad Ena’s freak out in auction day? That little hand motion is also from the vid. Also Ena’s jumps in AD, they reference the singer at the start moving in and out of frame. Honestly there’s too many to say them all out, even Ena’s hand placement with the wave and the blocky hand on her stomach. I’d recommend checking it out. Also also, while I thought Ena might’ve changed, it might be just Moony who will stay in that weird skinny form.
I really feel like Ena's "true" self is the "sad side". The whole dual persinality thing comes from the fact that Ena is a very pessimistic and miserable person. She's clearly trying to be better, to have a positive outlook, to force a happy face, but the breakdowns are inescapable. She clearly doesn't deal well with stress, let alone crowded places. "Happy" lines seem too formal, too forced, even the voice is different, like Ena is just trying to force another identity onto herself. Her demonic form is her going so far it's hard for her body to be stable, let alone hard for her mind to match up with the other residents. That's why when she's "drunk" she accidentally breaks the fourth wall, reflecting the majority of the audience's thoughts. Her body is mostly blocky and polygonal, and the torso is presumably blue, as seen over her collar, her hair is supposed to be long. But it's like she used some tool to smooth out all her rough edges on her left side, like she cut her hair, like she is desperately trying to mold herself into someone she sees as better. But as seen in Temptation Stairway, her paranoid thoughts take over, forcing her into her breakdown form. Possibly her true form, but with the face repositioned to her hands, and greyed out. The voices constantly swapping maybe another side effect - Ena's lost sight of who she even is. And her slowly becoming yellow at the end must be her trying to repress her sorrow entirely, all as an attempt to just be happy. I'm assuming Dream BBQ will show us the results. The repression didn't work, and Ena broke down, now changing from a sad-happy combo to a hot-cold combo of sorts. Presumably a very aggressive, impulsive side that lashes out at people, and a calm, possibly apathetic side, that can help settle down a situation. Maybe it's all a huge metaphor for depression, how Ena is miserable, tries being happy, but ends up switching between self-deprecating hopelessness and hyperactive politeness, then between senseless anger and absolute numbness. Hopefully it turns out okay for her.
Ena seems to be constantly switching both voices and emotional states a lot this episode. I wonder if that has something to do that grey emotional disress.
I love a lot of things about ENA, whether it's about her shape, her loud and strong emotions, and her multiple combining personalities which must experience unique points of view, especially in that oddity-filled world 😀.

is it really kinda unbearable for anyone else to see sad/super sad ena? the voice acting is amazing but she sounds so genuine like it's complete emotional torture to be in that state. I can kind of see myself in it a *lot* though. Maybe that's why it bothers me.

When ENA cries/has a breakdown it shatters my heart into a million pieces and I just want to comfort her so badly.
2:02 is questionable because ENA’s sad blue side starts to turn yellow, and her hair suddenly is shorter at the last scene before the episode ends. And I’m also glad we got to see a new side of ENA where she is suddenly grey and her face is gone (and the eyes and mouth in her hands) it’s very strange but I love that we always get a new emotion each episode :0

two things occured to me:
- at 2:16 ENA's hair suddenly becomes short
- Everyone keeps telling ENA that they'll fail in getting their wish granted, and that they are greedy. But ENA doesn't seem to indicate in any way that they have a wish?

It took me a while to notice, once Ena's right side is completely yellow her right eye changes to make the left's shape, no longer a diamond. The hair got short too. What does it mean?

Ik it’s only 2 mins of Ena but there is so much else done by other artists in the video too (modeling, backgrounds, voice acting) and I think it showcases that very well. Plus it opens up more bout the universe and stuff.

One thing I’ll say is a lot of Ena’s animations takes inspiration from the Talking Heads- Once in a Lifetime music video.
Of course the turrón dance but also you know white sad Ena’s freak out in auction day? That little hand motion is also from the vid. Also Ena’s jumps in AD, they reference the singer at the start moving in and out of frame. Honestly there’s too many to say them all out, even Ena’s hand placement with the wave and the blocky hand on her stomach. I’d recommend checking it out.
Also also, while I thought Ena might’ve changed, it might be just Moony who will stay in that weird skinny form.

I really feel like Ena's "true" self is the "sad side".
The whole dual persinality thing comes from the fact that Ena is a very pessimistic and miserable person. She's clearly trying to be better, to have a positive outlook, to force a happy face, but the breakdowns are inescapable. She clearly doesn't deal well with stress, let alone crowded places. "Happy" lines seem too formal, too forced, even the voice is different, like Ena is just trying to force another identity onto herself. Her demonic form is her going so far it's hard for her body to be stable, let alone hard for her mind to match up with the other residents. That's why when she's "drunk" she accidentally breaks the fourth wall, reflecting the majority of the audience's thoughts.
Her body is mostly blocky and polygonal, and the torso is presumably blue, as seen over her collar, her hair is supposed to be long. But it's like she used some tool to smooth out all her rough edges on her left side, like she cut her hair, like she is desperately trying to mold herself into someone she sees as better. But as seen in Temptation Stairway, her paranoid thoughts take over, forcing her into her breakdown form. Possibly her true form, but with the face repositioned to her hands, and greyed out. The voices constantly swapping maybe another side effect - Ena's lost sight of who she even is. And her slowly becoming yellow at the end must be her trying to repress her sorrow entirely, all as an attempt to just be happy.
I'm assuming Dream BBQ will show us the results. The repression didn't work, and Ena broke down, now changing from a sad-happy combo to a hot-cold combo of sorts. Presumably a very aggressive, impulsive side that lashes out at people, and a calm, possibly apathetic side, that can help settle down a situation.
Maybe it's all a huge metaphor for depression, how Ena is miserable, tries being happy, but ends up switching between self-deprecating hopelessness and hyperactive politeness, then between senseless anger and absolute numbness. Hopefully it turns out okay for her.
Ena seems to be constantly switching both voices and emotional states a lot this episode. I wonder if that has something to do that grey emotional disress.

i really like that Ena's 2 hair triangles merge together when blue side disappears at the end. also does that mean that her yellow side 0:34 literally rips apart bc there's only one triangle left? or is it the grey panic side overtaking
i would think the right side hair triangle is the yellows side. when shes full breakdown, she loses the yellow side
