- Matuka fly - mosca Matuka
Hook: TMC 300 or 5262

Rib: silver wire

is a fly that has thousands of variants that bind is the best of my experience meets our fishing in Patagonia, has subtle changes in the proportions such as wing longer than the original to enhance ripple fly on current changes and also is tied with only two neck feathers of cock for the wing, the wing of the Matuka originally tied with feathers Ave Toro who were quickly replaced by feathers of chicken neck and later de gallo . the change in the wing is to accentuate the movement and achieve finer silhouette, something that I consider critical in all streamers that imitate small fish in the Patagonian environments.

I couldn't believe my eyes how simple you made it look to tie. I'll have to try one. Thanks for sharing......:)
Thanks to you Dennis, glad you like it. Regards
Love the Matuka style streamers whether tied with feathers or rabbit Zonker strips. They present a realistic profile in the water that has always worked for me. This one is classic and as always it's a pleasure to watch you tie.
Thanks buddy, yes i some times add some 3d eyes to get a better realistic look. Kind regards
Thanks for the information. I've always felt like it made a difference but didn't have anything to back it up. Now I do. Thank you again.
Any time buddy, to share is the best that internet brings us. Have a good day
I agree. I add eyes to most of my flies for realism. I don't know if it fools the fish better or just gives me more confidence in the fly I'm fishing.Whichever it is it works. Like I said I really enjoy watching you tie. Thanks again.
The eyes make a diference, check out this.. is from a study made and published on a book in 1930 scontent-eze1-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/17425018_1312754275437564_6729325677556496371_n.jpg?oh=26ad38324ea478ac309c72b3ccf08c52&oe=5A01A7B5 Kind regards
Nice tie, I like the fly and it looks like the fish will too. All the best, and thanks for sharing. Sean
I made my first GOOD looking fly today, thanks to your video. Thank you. .
Glad to hear that my friend, hope you catch some fish with it. Kind regards!
I like that streamer a lot, looks easy to make as well. I'm sure you could use many different colors. When I can afford that grizzly stuff I will make some of those Thank you Ruben
That's a great looking fly-not complicated and a traditional matura. Beautifully tied. :-)
Thanks bud
Perfect!! Thank you.......Kevin
Bravo!
Gracias, gracias, gracias
Very good!
Thanks!
Sencilla, un par de plumas en las alas, me gusta. La música del video es estupenda.
Gracias Ruben por el dato. Otro abrazo. Horacio.
