Great lesson! I've heard similar sounding fills like this over the years coming from guys like Dave Weckl & Vinnie Colaiuta but they never really explained what they were playing. This is very appreciated! Thanks!
You're a legend. Loving the lessons and you have a terrific sound dialed in.
I really loved the previous "flowing in triplets" video and now i get to watch another one. Always great material and clear explanations. I'm watching this while at work and people is giving me strange looks cause i'm always grunting and making "satisfaction noises", i can't contain myself listening to this mind-blowing sound and phrasing. This video lessons really feel like a great gift!
Wow Louie, you rock, thanks for the lesson, great chops!
excellent lesson, Louie!
Another great lesson. I learn from Loie faster than ANY other intsructor for some reason. I use his chops all of the time.
Heck yes! Great lesson!!!

Nice trading lead hand to complete the circle., really articulate sticking , great vid Louie !! Definitely adding that to my practice.
wonderful Louie!!!!!
F'n Awesome!!!!! Thank you for this!!!!
Great lesson Louie ... once again clearly explained and so fundamentally sound to the point where we can build from what you've laid out. Also, your playing is terrific as always.
Thanks, John!
great lesson, Louie! Thanks for the input!
Very good lesson!
i love your lessons! :)
Trying this in the beginning was tough but as it started flowing it worked out very nicely. Thanks Louie nicely done.It was the same way with your lick in July 2017. It took awhile but it also has a great outcome.
That snare in your 5 min practice and your solo practice video with the backup music gives it that special kick! Thanks for the videos.
Level up. Really great.
This guy inspires me
Super!!!! Tank you!
Son lecciones muy atrapantes y muy entendible
gosh, this kit sounds so damn cool, eargasm
This does have a nice flow but takes awhile to get to that point ...it took me a few days to accomplish the proper flow where it sounded like your interpretation. Thanks Louie
Greetings sir, I want to say this has been one of the most informative videos about triplets. Your teaching is simple and easy to understand. Great job!!! I'm subscribed!!!
Thanks! Loads more at playbetterdrums.com!
Is there a reason to change the sticking pattern away from RLRLR at the start of the fill as you are playing a bass drum after it?
Great!!!!!!!
What snare drum are you using?
Hot Damn that was great!
Great lick here. Thanks for this! Who gave this a thumbs down?!
Those who cannot play....
Everything played on the first tom following a kick hit is a nasty, classy lick
One more thing what size is that snare of yours? Do you tighten bottom as well as top?
14x5" - bottom head on snare a lot tighter than top...almost 'table-top' tight, then top head wherever I want it for feel and pitch.
Mr Palmer, I've been playing match grip since I was 19, I am now 54, I really want to learn Traditional Grip. Do you have a video about it or any pointers, thank you Sir
Yes, I go into detail in my online school - playbetterdrums.com!
Any muffling on the bass drum??? Sounds awesome!
Thanks! Just a small towel folded & laid on the shell in middle of drum
@@louiepalmerdrums perfect. Thanks! Merry Christmas!
