This song is her story as well. She has struggled all the way through her career. Commercial radio refused to play her music, she actually wrote a song calling them out about it call ‘Not Pretty Enough’. She travels around Australia in a ute (truck) and caravan with her family and has done her entire life. Her dad is in this video, he’s sitting down playing the Steele guitar. She said once that the best advice her dad gave her as she was coming up in the industry was “just don’t be a dickhick” when you win accolades and talk to fans. They’re just really down to earth people. She is truly the most humble and kind humans in the universe.
The first time I heard this was Sat 6th Jan, live in Kiama. I had seen reactions popping up on here, but I subconsciously avoided looking, knowing I was going to see her (for the first time). As soon as it started I picked it up, first with sweaty, then confirmed with spaghetti 😅. Literal out of body experience, I was lifted and lifted, dropped and lifted again. It really felt life shifting. When she finished she took a good 30 seconds to recover, she sung the absolute crap out of it. Now I am just obsessed with re experiencing it over and over through reactions 😂😊
she is 45 got 40 country music awards in Aus. Obviously found a conection to this song lyrically . As country here in Aus is liked but not totaly respected . Kasey just tries different types of music at moments. she has a great voice
She has had to work hard to stay afloat in the music industry here in Australia. Her childhood was unique and sometimes they lived in a tent in the country singing around the campfire as a family. Her marriage broke down and she has had to share parenting of her children. That cant have been easy to stick with her dreams when things got tough. I have so much respect for her and just absolutely loooove this version of lose yourself. She gave herself fully to this performance and let it touch her soul. In front of all of us. So vulnerable and powerful.
To answer your question about why Kasey identifies with this song, all her life she has faced struggles, both on a personal level and also on a professional level. The titles of two of her own songs, “I Ain’t No Little Girl” and “Am I not Pretty Enough?” Illustrate her fight to be taken seriously by the music industry. Like Eminem, she’s earned recognition the hard way, without playing games, working super hard, and being a bloody genius. I’ve just subscribed because of your intelligent and elegant reaction to Australian music. Thank you! 🙂
This is the answer I was looking for and I love that. All us homegrown, hard workers can relate to a message like that. Appreciate that. And that was a very nice comment, by the way haha. I do my best! You're very welcome! :)

I saw Kasey in an interview at least 10 years ago where they asked her what music she listened to. She said she loves Eminem. You can deff tell from this performance that she loves it
Look at you being captivated and respecting the hell of Kasey!🤗 She is a massive fan of Eminem. Kasey had a super rough start being recognised by radio and media when she first started out over 20 years ago. This song means something to her. It needs to be on your bucket list to see her live - it is a spiritual experience. Like alot of Aussie artists, there is something special about live performances. She sometimes plays with another artist called, Paul Kelly - he is definetely worth checking out, too!
Haha I had to get it! Didn't have a choice, she made it easy. ;) Thanks for the suggestions and the kind words. I appreciate it, and yall are definitely talented, I give you that haha.
Good reaction. After this performance, they realised it was a 'moment'. While they had a proper recording, they didn't have video, so they put the call out for any fans who'd recorded it and mixed them into the sound track. BTW, it's a banjo and Kasey is the youngest person to ever be inducted into the Australian Hall of Fame. She's a legend here, with a dozen albums to her credit.
Wait, she is? Wow. That's an incredible feat, and I appreciate the education. Had no idea. Going to have to keep up with her and get that name out there even more!
She has that rare ability to share all her emotion with her audience If you want to hear something else from her, I'd recommend "Aint no Little Girl", probably the live recording from the Underground Bluegrass would be best. As with most Aussie artists, live recordings will usually be best.@@TheBlackSpeed
Firstly - I dig the jacket and secondly yeah that cover is everything you could want out of a cover - it's both faithful to the original and innovative and overall just beautiful/haunting/amazing
It’s not just tears, it’s like an out of body experience. That’s how good it is, and that’s only in my first 24 hours of having ever seen this. I have been watching reactions since then and seen that it has blown people’s minds. I’m so glad for her and Eminem of course. Excellent lyrics.

Absolutely agree. When the foundation makes it easy to genre mesh and blend, and you can make it your own without losing the integrity of it, you know you made a hit. Agreed, fantastic cover.
Kasey wanted to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of Lose Yourself so she arranged this during lockdown here in Australia. Then she performed it as a final encore for her regular country music audience! Ms liked it so much he contacted his people and gave permission to put it on Spotify! I think it's the best cover I've ever seen! Great reaction Man!!
Really? Kasey said she has no idea if he’s heard it or not. As far as I know he doesn’t own the rights to his old music anymore. I see this comment everywhere but absolutely no proof other than the song is on Spotify. The same Spotify being sued by multiple artists
two things about this cover to me. first, it highlights and accentuates the brilliance in eminem's writing, and truly shines light on why exactly he stands where he does among rap's giants. and two: this song is hers now, no ifs, ands, or buts, about it. she owned this.
Ok… wow! Exactly like you said, you don’t realise what is truly being said until it’s put into a version like this. And what a version! Just gained another fan in the UK.
Haha I will say, I think I picked up on pieces hearing it as a kid and then more as I got older, but then you hear a version like this and you're like "Oh, we already knew it was poetry, now it's more pure". Definitely helps keep it going.
To slow it down and let the poetic genius of Em's lyrics shine through, while pouring your heart and soul into the vocal delivery. Art on every level. New subscriber after this reaction.
She's a musician and lyricist herself. She thinks Eminem is the same, and she had time to arrange it over the lockdowns they had in Australia. It just worked. Great artists respect other great artists. And the best Artists mimic others in their own way.
Kasey has lived the song, she started performing onstage with her family band at age 12, that's her brother on guitar and backup vocals and that's her Dad on slide guitar. She's lived this song.
Shes an australian country singer , she put this together during the covid lockdown when she couldnt tour etc , shes a big eminem fan . Crowd would have been a bit shocked at this as back in the 2000-2010 i went to maybe 10 of her concerts and if she did covers it was more likely to be covers of 1920's country like the carter family , or 1950s 60s music like hank williams snr etc
This has to be the best “cover” or more aptly, the best reinvention, of a song ever! Kasey is an amazing artist and is the queen of live performance! ❤❤
Good reaction. It seems people who like rap ( or are rappers themselves) understand this better than other reactors. They understand the poetry and emotion in the lyrics and how the rap was constructed to an emotional climax. Kasey deconstructed this and rebuilt but used some of the rap cadence ( slowed down). She also had to write the music. The anguish in the beginning of the place where Eminem found himself was made haunting by her and then when the band kicked in it reflected the anger and determination to make it reflects the rap climax. Kasey has said she has always admired Eminem and that she admires artists who leave all their emotions on the stage and she obviously does the same herself. She had time over Covid lockdowns to work on the arrangement. The audience did not know what the song was before she played it as an encore ( some recognised the lyrics at the beginning). Kudos to the band ( her father on the left playing slide guitar) as well. Thanks for the reaction.
These are the comments I like reading the most, the ones that just get it and can articulate it. That's exactly what it's about, she took his poetry (where rap easily shines the most), felt what he most likely felt in the lyrics, and made it her own without trying to make it something its not. Love you got that too.
This was the 17th show of her Behind the Barricades tour & she'd played it every show. The audience were told it was coming & asked to keep the noise down during the vocals as it was being live recorded at the mixing desk.
Kasey has taken Eminem’s beautiful lyrics and transformed them into something transcendent. Yes, Kasey is a massive Eminem fan! They started their careers (well, solo career in Kasey’s case) at around the same time. Kasey spent lockdown reinventing her favourite songs and this was one of her absolute favourites, hence her performing it live at the first opportunity. Kasey is an Australian music legend, mostly in Country/Folk but sings whatever moves her. ❤ We love her ❤
Oh my actual... Okay. 😮😲😵 Wow. ❤I'm old enough to have grown up with Electro and the tails of Disco and Funk and it's amorphic transition into early Hip-Hop. I have a deep love of oldschool up to around the mid' 90's. I am no hater of Eminem. His raw talent and what he has managed to achieve is incredible. Yet I don't personally enjoy his style and the sound of his cadence and delivery... even though the lyrics themselves are fire. So to hear this is really quite remarkable to me. I get to enjoy the lyrical beauty of Eminem, yet sung in a way that hits my ears and soul a little greater. So maybe that is it: Eminem may be a lyrical titan that has soul but is not soulful?
Hmm, that's a take, for sure. I've heard plenty of people where I'm like "Man, they are an amazing songwriter, but I don't really like what I'm HEARING". So that totally makes sense. He's a total legend in his own right, but the sound may not be for everyone even if you respect the pen he has. I'm with you.
The fact that he approved this version to Spotify speaks volumes about the brilliance of what and did. This was absolute 🔥 and any time you have a completely changed up cover but still recognize right away, you know it's special. Eminem is a genius for these lyrics and is you didn't pay attention to them in the original version, I bet you did in this cover. Bravo Kasey! No idea who you were before, but I am looking your music up as I type! ❤
Hit me harder than the original. Felt like she's living this moment in her own career maybe? I think she grew up in the Australian Outback LITERALLY. Probably didn't see a television until she was 10 to 1r5 years old. All she has known is music and her genre is country you can tell, but she can definitely rock it out and could most certainly play the blues. :) Absolutely loved it! Cheers!
Kasey is was/is a huge fan of Eminem and also she had many of the same probs getting her music played on radio here in Australia. So much so that she wrote a song called "Am I Not Pretty Enough" which was a dig at the industry not playing her songs also early days in Australia radio stations only played American and UK songs....local talent was ignored. Loved your reaction ...love from Australia
@@TheBlackSpeed Ah you're a star lol....But if I could suggest you do one of my favs which is "I ain't no little girl" her official video is brilliant and she did do a 'live' performance in the USA and the applause from the crowd left her in tears... Happy New Year!
I've never been a fan of Rap, but the lyrics in this (presented in this way) have given me a new respect for Em. Plus, this rendition never gets old. I've listened to it at least 5 times a week for the past year & it still hits hard. Every. Single. Time.
The backing vocal you mentioned is from her long time guitarist Brandon Dodd. Contrary to popular belief from quite a few YT comments sections, it is not her brother Nash. Of note, the person absolutely killing (in a good way) the steel lap slide is Kasey's Father Bill.
Woah, these are the fun facts I come down to the comments for. Why. So it runs in the family, but also she's also just generally surrounded by good talent. Jeez.
I don't usually like phone footage or videos put together from different performances (eg official video of Cold Chisel's Bow River prefer Ringside Tour) but I think this enhances the whole thing. Love the arrangement...how gutsy for an Aussie alt-country singer to take on one of Eminem's most popular songs. She's lived the disappointment & discouragement. I also like the singer & guitarist in the second verse. It just works. And the whole band gives 110%. I'm glad it was an encore as she left everything on that stage. Loved your reaction ❤ There's heaps of absolutely amazing Aussie artists fom the 60's on. Billy Thorpe, John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes and Cold Chisel, INXS, Midnight Oil, Paul Kelly, Crowded House, LRB, Guy Sebastian & if you like a bit of wit & Sarcasm along with some amazing piano then there's Tim Minchin. Enjoy
Oh boy, these are a lot of recommendations here haha. I'm going to ask you that if you ever come by a video of mine again, and leave a comment, remind me of an artist or two so I can keep track and do it one day. :) Thanks for that!
She's an amazing singer/songwriter from Australia. It's not BS country, she is Americana music. I taught myself guitar, listening to her music and Em is one of my all-time favorites, so to hear this is a definite WOW! for me. Thanks for sharing!
The goosebumps are real my friend. I get them every time I listen to this, but seeing it too via video is even more spectacular. I hope Eminem loves this tribute to his song, she is a huge fan of his. She has breathed new life into it. ❤️ After finishing watching your reaction, I felt that you were close to tears, I was already crying like a big baby. This version just moves me so much from just her emotion, it’s out of control.
From what I understand, he loves it, gave his blessing, all that good stuff. So the right people saw it indeed! And I was basically close lol. It's emotional lyrically as it is, and with the way she sings it...almost got me.
Mate What an amazing interpretation. It really showcases Ems writing ability. To me it’s a whole new song, as if it’s told from a mother’s perspective. Bloody brilliant!
kasey is one of numerous australian singers which are tragically unknown overseas, keep doing aussie artists and you'll never be disappointed, try matt corby singing brother live for likke a version
The best thing about real musicians covering iconic songs and making them totally different but still recognizable, is that it shows people who are siloed in one genre, that there are a million ways to express emotion. When artists like Kasey and Ren, interpret songs in new ways it can open up worlds of music which have been a mystery. Country fans listen to Kasey and learn to appreciate Em's lyrics...and rap fans can learn they there is a massive history which has led up to rap...and it will not stop at rap. Luckily music is a progression. The more and more varied influences, the better IMHO.
I think she feels the song because she struggled to get her songs played on the radio. Her song Pretty Enough is about that struggle. Amazingly talented family, I can’t remember which song of hers it is but one of her old ones her son joins in the jam at the end (he was really young at the time) it’s so cute 🥰
Aww, that's really cool. You'll have to let me know what it is if you can find it. I also have another one of hers coming in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned for that. :)
Em knows and he approved, giving his permission for her put it on her Spotify stream. Kasey related this with her own struggles to get recognised here in Australia.
@@ray.shoesmith Yes you do. Em didn't give HIS permission because he doesn't hold the copyright to any of his early music.....the copyright for his work is held by Mark and Jeff Bass, owners of the Eight Mile Style publishing company & they have several lawsuits before the courts against Spotify for copyright infringements
This was Kasey's 2nd or 3rd performance fresh out of COVID Lockdown in which her and her family listened to ALOT of Eminem at their house during the pandemic, in an interview she stated that one day the lyrics resonated with her and she wanted to make her own version, after discussing with the band over Skype and Zoom only this is what they came up with, also the video quality is because she asked the audience to film it and she took the raw footage that they sent her and spliced it together with studio audio
THIS was the 17th show of her Behind the Barricades tour & it was played as the encore song at every show - it had also been played (for the 1st time in public) at the Wildflower Festival in the Yarra Valley (Victoria) 2 months before the tour started. The audience weren't asked to film it - as it had been so well received at each show her team decided to record the audio on this night as a live track recording (not a studio recording.) That's why the audience seem so subdued - they were asked to not scream out during the vocals so it was a clean take. After listening to the playback, they realized it was pretty special & were kicking themselves for not having filmed it - THAT'S when Kasey put the call out for any fan phone footage.
a different song with the same lyrics, she's lived it, that's the only way you can have that kind of emotion attached to it. It resonates with her on a cellular level. em is more motivational where kasey's sad, meloncholy then kicks on to anger and desperation and you can feel every bit of it.
I have always loved this song but she really made me feel those lyrics in a new way. Especially the lyrics around not being able to get by with the 9-5 and provide the right kind of life for his daughter. Made me feel that to my core.
Awesome reaction man! What an extraordinary work of art, from EMs lyrics, an amazing band, fan phone footage to Kasey's heart wrenching delivery. It all builds the drama. Rapp hasn't been as big here as in the US. We are more pop, rock and country. So EM performed this for his audience, Taylor Swift does a nice version to suit her audience, and so Kasey performed this for HER audience. Sorry, but I'm gonna say it, I prefer this above all others.. G'day mate from Australia.
And there is absolutely nothing wrong with having preference and liking the style and sound of one over the another (even an original). Appreciate you taking the time to comment!
Just the greatest cover of anything. She leaves it all out there - every time. Check out her song - 'Ain't no little girl' - live at the Bluegrass Underground for another one that'll move you.
I get goosebumps too, everytime I listen to Kaseys version. The emotion she puts into this song is the same she puts into all her songs. But dam I love this cover. She slayed it.❤
So happy to see you react to this. It’s fantastic and slept on. She is a great writer/ musician and love great song writing. She’d been wanting to to rearrange this but it was not til Covid lockdown that she had the time. She played this at the end of a post Covid concert. They recorded the audio but not the visuals. So she decided to release it as a video on UA-cam- hence she went to FB and asked her fans to send in their cell phone footage. So you are hearing a live performance.
Kasey is Aussie Music Royalty. Shes a brlliant singer / songwriter, unconfined by genre. Can do it all, as evidenced by the multiple awards she's won - over and over - over many years, and still producing masterpieces. Check out her back catalogue. Therest of the world has been slow to get on the Kasey Train. but Welcome Abourd! Enjoy. 😆🤣🤩😍
Kasey is an amazing performer and this is so powerful. I’ve been lucky enough to see her live. She is wonderful. This is he4 a her best. She gives it her all.
It wasn't just your goosebumps the spoke volumes, your face said it all. You smiled in all the right places and looked incredibly moved at the heartbreaking moments. I'd answer all your questions but it looks like the fans have given you all the background info you need. This intelligent and authentic reaction has earned you a sub from me. Well done :)
I'm sure it's been noted... It's a compilation of cell phone footage. She did request it from fans... And then got the okay from the GOAT to release it without consequence..!!
The reason that it’s phone footage is because while they properly recorded the vocals and I think they had one camera going (the black & white footage) it wasn’t until they listened to the playback that they realised it was such a good performance so they sent out a call out on social media the next day for crowd footage & they put that together. Kasey is a big country star in Australia but she’s a big Eminem fan and she put this together during COVID lockdowns. And someone on Eminem’s team approves of it because it’s available on Spotify which wouldn’t be possible without the rights to the music, whether that includes Eminem himself I don’t know. But Kasey’s been through a lot both professionally and personally so she’s able to relate to the song a lot, but you put together a great song and a great artist in their own genre you are bound to get a great version. Kasey is the youngest person to be in Australia’s music hall of fame, she got that at least a decade ago, and she’s 46 in this performance.
You are on the right track :) I get goosebumps in exactly the same spots as you did. Never fails. She is one of ours. I hope you get to listen to more Australian music. You def got it
This video was actually made by collecting all the cell-phone footage from the crowd, and made an official video from it.. I get goosebumps every time too.. Not everyone gets it.. Sucks to be them!
I've got one that will leave you speechless, another Australian singer by the name of Jimmy Barnes. Could you check out Jimmy Barnes singing Stone Cold featuring Joe Bonamassa. Jimmy is considered a legend here in Australia and Joe is a legendary guitarist from America.
Em's version is aggressive, raw angry, and seething frustration and determination. Kasey's version is soulful, mournful desperation, and determination. Anyone who's had to fight to get anywhere in this life can relate to both versions. I wonder if Em has heard this. 🤔
Kasey is a huge Eminem fan. She re-mastered his masterpiece during Covid lockdown. Here in Australia the lockdown was long and brutal. Kasey and the band started to close out their performances with this version post lockdown in Australia. This is brilliant - but not as brilliant as seeing her do this live. Eminem does approve. she has spotify rights with this version. Great reaction my man👍
Kasey did an exceptional job, that’s 100% correct, she is a very talented and unique music artist. As to lockdown here in Oz being ‘long and brutal’, bullshit, complete bullshit. Yes it was ‘long’ in certain parts of Oz, especially where people wouldn’t stay away from each other. ‘Brutal?’, no, it would have been brutal if Covid had been allowed to run rampant and ending up killing many many more tens of thousand of people unnecessarily. Lockdown? Yes long for some, but brutal? Bullshit.
The record label approves, not necessarily Em directly (I've yet to see a citation of this YT urban legend, no one has produced it yet). Even Kasey has apparently said in an interview once that she didn't know if Em had heard it or not.
Doesn't matter whether Eminem approves or not - he doesn't hold the copyright to his early music & can't give permission, Mark and Jeff Bass owners of Eight Mile Style publishing hold the copyright to his early music.
BEST reinterpretation of a song ever for mine. The word cover doesn't cover what she did, clearly truckloads of work for her to get it to that point of production. 2nd best reinterpretation I reckon is John farnhams version of the Beatles song help, live with the Melbourne symphony orchestra... highly recommend you review that! Watch the Beatles version quickly to remind yourself if you don't know the song 😉
@@TheBlackSpeed you're welcome mate. Farnesy is our best singer ever in Australia, he can sing just about any genre, crazy range, tone and emotional connection to any song he does. Best bloke ever too.

She's a huge Eminem fan and that was her "theme song" according to her. So it's her paying homage to him
two things about this cover to me.
first, it highlights and accentuates the brilliance in eminem's writing, and truly shines light on why exactly he stands where he does among rap's giants.
and two: this song is hers now, no ifs, ands, or buts, about it. she owned this.
Hahaha. I will let you have that belief on point #2, but yes. Absolutely correct with the sentiment.
Great reaction! You GET IT. I’ve been listening/covering her songs for 20 years. I love her and this cover is FIRE!
So hard not to, it's just too good! Appreciate that, Danielle. :)
Respect the Goosebumps bro, they are never wrong ❤❤
Haven't steered me wrong yet.
She's a musician and lyricist herself. She thinks Eminem is the same, and she had time to arrange it over the lockdowns they had in Australia. It just worked. Great artists respect other great artists. And the best Artists mimic others in their own way.
The words hit hard in a different way slowed down. What a talent.
Kasey has lived the song, she started performing onstage with her family band at age 12, that's her brother on guitar and backup vocals and that's her Dad on slide guitar. She's lived this song.
I came here to say this. She’s incredible.
Eminem liked it so much he let her put it on spotify so she could earn from the streams
Eminem can't let her - HE doesn't own the copyright to Lose Yourself & has no say in where it's put.
@@stanroach2842 Thanks for the info.
Eminem CAN'T approve it for Spotify - HE doesn't own the copyright so has no say in it.
Casey Chambers is one of our best Aussie singers, generally a country singer, but this version is just brilliant
Cheers!
Every time I see a new video for Kasey’s cover, I think “her comes someone about to learn what this song really means”
The respect shown to Kasey is why lm subscribing, glad you recognize her talent in building and creating this song and you see how awesome Kasey is.
Well I appreciate I can earn your sub. :) More to come!
It really showcases Eminem’s phenomenal songwriting
She’s great
Kasey is was/is a huge fan of Eminem and also she had many of the same probs getting her music played on radio here in Australia. So much so that she wrote a song called "Am I Not Pretty Enough" which was a dig at the industry not playing her songs also early days in Australia radio stations only played American and UK songs....local talent was ignored. Loved your reaction ...love from Australia
Ooooo so what you're saying is I may need to check that out? You got it! Haha. Thank you for that, and all the love back from Texas!
@@TheBlackSpeed Ah you're a star lol....But if I could suggest you do one of my favs which is "I ain't no little girl" her official video is brilliant and she did do a 'live' performance in the USA and the applause from the crowd left her in tears... Happy New Year!
You got it, already on the list per a lot of other suggestions. Happy New Year to you too as well!@@justlinsu
Delta Goodrem especially Heavy & Enough
She's an amazing singer/songwriter from Australia. It's not BS country, she is Americana music. I taught myself guitar, listening to her music and Em is one of my all-time favorites, so to hear this is a definite WOW! for me. Thanks for sharing!
No problem at all, respect to Australia! Appreciate you taking the time to watch. :)
@@TheBlackSpeed You’re right, it’s an emotional song anyway with the pain of the lyrics. Take care 😀
Newcastle, Australia ... about 2 hours drive north from Sydney.
Mate What an amazing interpretation. It really showcases Ems writing ability. To me it’s a whole new song, as if it’s told from a mother’s perspective. Bloody brilliant!
Also, Eminem has heard it and has given her full rights to royalties of her version in respect of her version.
kasey is one of numerous australian singers which are tragically unknown overseas, keep doing aussie artists and you'll never be disappointed, try matt corby singing brother live for likke a version
Tesky Brothers
Believe it or not, I actually know Matt Corby. I'm going to have to throw a song on here one time. :)
I heard she's a big Eminem fan. It's such an awesome performance isn't it? Especially the first time you hear it!! (Patti Smith vibes for me too!)
I have watched dozens of first-time videos, and I am always delighted by the reactions when the full band enters. Your goosebumps were epic.
Hey, when it comes through on the body, I gotta let it show haha. I appreciate you watching. :)
@@TheBlackSpeed will do on both accounts 😁
Em knows and he approved, giving his permission for her put it on her Spotify stream. Kasey related this with her own struggles to get recognised here in Australia.
There's no proof of that. You don't need permission to post covers on Spotify.
@@ray.shoesmith even if you did, em can't give it since he doesn't own the rights to his own song.
Apparently, even Kasey herself mentioned in an interview that she doesn't know if Em has heard it or not.
Ooof that voice gives me chills.
Epic finish ! and deserved the round of applause.
I saw Kasey Chambers in a little employee lounge where I worked 20 years ago. Unbelievable.
Best cover ever. She was given permission to post it on Spotify. She's a fan of Eminem and created this version during Covid lockdowns.
Em does a fairly good job of covering Kasey's song!!!
Lol😂
Rofl this comment never gets old and makes me laugh.
The best cover I've ever heard!
Im 66 yrs old and I love Rap..True stories.☮️💓🇬🇧🙏
Just the greatest cover of anything. She leaves it all out there - every time.
Check out her song - 'Ain't no little girl' - live at the Bluegrass Underground for another one that'll move you.
You got it, I'll have to add that to the list. :)
It's incredible, it truly is. And that's dope she was able to find and splice together so much footage to make it all truly come together. Remarkable.
Enjoy. 😆🤣🤩😍
Bad ass take of such song❤❤❤❤
All I can say is “She Ain’t No Little Girl”
Respects and admires Eminem is exactly why she did it. She said it in an interview.
She has said she always has loved this song and she finally got to commemorate it. She felt that and we did too!
Kasey is amazing man.
So proud she’s Aussie and a fantastic human.
Aw, thank you for that. Very kind of you and am happy I could earn your sub! :) More to come!
Yeah this is 🔥🔥🔥
I'm sure it's been noted... It's a compilation of cell phone footage. She did request it from fans... And then got the okay from the GOAT to release it without consequence..!!
Haha yes it has, but I still don't mind the comments about it. It's truly remarkable.
Love your reaction to this phenomenal cover! Kasey is just amazing!
When you get a country band to do a folk/rock version of a rap song... thanks for reacting matey
❤❤❤ so happy you are reacting to this .
You are on the right track :) I get goosebumps in exactly the same spots as you did. Never fails. She is one of ours. I hope you get to listen to more Australian music. You def got it
I love that, and appreciate you taking the time to watch the whole thing! I got more coming, don't you worry.
Thank you.
You get it!
Such an open reaction. Subbed.
Aw, I like that. Thank you, glad I could earn your sub. :)
Kasey thanks Em' for writing her song. She now owns it.
Lmao
This video was actually made by collecting all the cell-phone footage from the crowd, and made an official video from it..
I get goosebumps every time too.. Not everyone gets it.. Sucks to be them!
I loved your reaction, you showed Kasey the respect she deserves for this amazing cover!
I absolutely had to! She murdered that and deserved all the praise. :)
I got it on the list and I'll get to it when I can. :) Appreciate the recommendation!
Kasey kills it.
HOLY COW!
Em's version is aggressive, raw angry, and seething frustration and determination.
Kasey's version is soulful, mournful desperation, and determination.
Anyone who's had to fight to get anywhere in this life can relate to both versions.
I wonder if Em has heard this.
🤔
Apparently he has and gave his seal of approval, just what I heard through comments and the rumor mill. I like to think it's true.
Well said - poetry
Thank you for a great reaction and helping to get her version out there! Yes it’s fire!!
Haha love the homework and bread crumbs. You got it, and appreciate the recommendation!
@@TheBlackSpeed you're welcome mate. Farnesy is our best singer ever in Australia, he can sing just about any genre, crazy range, tone and emotional connection to any song he does. Best bloke ever too.
Shows how amazing Em's writing is 👏 but Kasey brought the raw pain and emotion out, which is 🔥🔥 happy new year btw! ✌️❤
Exactly! Happy New Year to you. :)
You are definitely right, this is fire 🔥
G'day mate, great reaction bruv. We got some more Aussie artists that will have you say " how have I not heard of them before " .I know my fellow Australians are going to send you some requests and I can't wait to see your reactions. Only discovered you today but I'm subscribed now so here's to the journey
Haha man the Australians are showin' up for the kid! I love it. Appreciate you taking the time to watch. We got more to do now, I got my homework! Glad I could earn your sub.
