    Several years after this video was posted, I *integrated* and no longer suffer the way I did back then. Explanation & TRUTH here: ua-cam.com/video/zRUQG_rNSy8/v-deo.html
    If you have DID or know someone who does, and want tips on integration, check out my discussion on this topic with a guest: ua-cam.com/video/mVNS8bReNp8/v-deo.html

      how did u got rid of this

    • @AutumnAsphodel

      anudeep king - It's not so much about getting rid of the condition, but rather learning to properly cope, accept, and integrate these personalities into the core. The reason they are split is to cope with various life circumstances and trauma. Once I was able to work through the past abuse, accept it, and forgive those who abused me, I was able to build a stronger foundation that allowed for the other alters to become part of my core personality. They did not die, rather they are still part of me, and created a well rounded core personality who is able to properly cope with life's stressors and abuse without dissociating. It's almost like if a parent raised you, helped you learn and grow, and you become a better person. They may no longer be around, but the skills they taught are now part of me and not compartmentalized. Hopefully that helped! 🙂

      anudeep king - It is not uncommon for siblings to be similar to one another, even if they don't know each other. If you've never met your brother, yet others say you are like him, there are a variety of reasons this could be such as parenting and being related.

      I suspect why she got all those so-called alters to cooperate. She's a bullshitter. I have DID with countless alters and triggering into dissociation is not something I can do at any given time I choose. This woman also had never lit up her eyes for us to see. DID eyes light up like flashlights verses psychopaths who's eyes shine.

      Discordmia well as far as it being offensive, it just depends on how you want to take it. I mean, the people like you, with DID, are a big family. Slang term I think it is, for "squad" is like family isn't it? I know it's like, your group or you know, buddies. So it shouldn't be offensive at all. 🤗 the fact you are not just one, but multiple people, I find fascinating and very interesting. Though, I don't know any actual people with DID, I'd really like to know and understand one because of how special and different they are or can be. Which, uniqueness is never a bad thing, it makes you, you; as a whole different category. And for the people who can be bullies. They're just scared of the unknown; scared of what's different. 😕 but, sorry for being off topic Lol, it shouldn't be offensive at all. To anyone. 😊 I hope.

    • @LipSyncLover
      @LipSyncLover 9 років тому +20

      Jason kay. read my bible. read about demonic possession. and Im not gonna say demons arent real...but i will say its dangerous to make assumptions about a person when they have a real recognizable disorder that we can better understand thanks to scientific inquiry. would prayer help her? who knows maybe :3 But when we say she's just possessed we diminish her to a troubled person and try to help in ways that might NOT help, when maybe she just needs meds. I mean, u cant go around treating every mental disorder as demonic possession.....you cant say to the depressed, the ppl with anxiety disorder, OCD, bipolar disorder....that they're just demon possessed. its totally unkind and ignorant and i dont really understand why ppl dont see how unkind and ignorant it is. We could try to help them with christ perhaps...im sure christ cares for those that struggle with mental disorders....but we mustn't start by mislabeling and jumping to assumptions when we have no way of knowing for certain. I HAVE felt negative entities before, demons perhaps, i have recognized a certain presence around other ppl....and maybe its not far fetched that demons might be trying to torment the mentally ill, but the fact of the matter is that most mental illnesses have a very biological component as well... and we should treat them as such and not be ignorant..

    just a side note: some people with DID cannot remember other personalities, whereas some people with DID are aware of what others are doing, they just are not in control

  • @crystaldutton3048

    To those that don’t understand DID:
    DID is very hard to understand unless you live it. My husband says it keeps our marriage interesting because it’s like being married to multiple people. Most people with DID were abused as children. When a personality is present the host usually unaware. DID is like a broken mirror each shard another personality. And a personality will take the wheel when the host isn’t able to cope with a situation. Each personality has a special ability to cope with a situation in one way or another. You can’t fix this, once a psyche is broken like this you can’t go back.
    You’re not alone, I am sorry people put you down.

      Joaquin Gaute Really I’d be interested to be link to some of those studies I have studied it before and what I read suggest that they do in fact believe it’s real but there is a way to achieve some sort of balance I almost want to say reconcile forgot the technical term but it’s a combining of all your personalities not that they disappear but you retain control I would love to know what sources you used it said it wasn’t real at all as I find this condition really interesting and want to know where those things differ. I will also add this there’s no way of knowing for sure. All we can do is go based off the people who actually have to live with it and I kind of think that that’s enough

      Sounds interesting, I've never thought of it in such a kind way ur husband must he a great guy (or a mere persona made up entirely by ur DID,.. jk) but seriously DID can be dangerous some people are known to have very mild persona but with at least one very aggressive persona. Or from what I've seen. Please dont mind me I just find it fascinating, though must be understandably difficult to deal with. Not knowing when you wont be you, or even if the you here and now is even the real you.. now that one is a fun concept, but not impossible I've seen people completely convince themself of the lies they told. My ex thought I pushed her off a roof despite the lack of injury or proof and so on she lied about it soo much she was convinced it was nothing but truth and fact. But I digress, spending time with someone with DID must be truely fascinating but also could be hard or even scary. But I'd love to observe and learn more about it, psychological issues always interest me the mind is such a powerful tool so much so it can even work against us.

    Stop telling her she has demons inside her. Stop saying this isn't real. Stop saying hateful things, please. Do you watch this and think, this person needs more hardships thrown at her? Really? Can you imagine if you had a mental disorder, or, no, lets say you had a physical one. A disfigurement, a disability, and you made a video to show people what it's like to try and educate people, and all you got was hate? If you believe this is possession, does that mean it is her fault and we should all try and make her feel horrible? Do you think that will help? Do you think calling her a liar will help? Even if you don't believe what you see, how does that give you the wish to spew hatred? Can we not, as human beings hopefully with a sense of humanity, show kindness and understanding?

      In exactly what language is telling her to pray and accept Jesus to be saved a form of insult or hateful comment? I'm sure she had professional help like talking to a psychologist before so what's the harm to take a few minutes from her time and say few words of prayers?!

    • @WrentheWrockstar
      @WrentheWrockstar 9 років тому +15

      Ceći Cray Some people do not find others telling them they are possessed by demons, to be a helpful comment. Those comments are definitely cruel. Comments that tell her to take Jesus into her life and to pray may not be as hateful, but what if she is atheist? What if people telling her what to do religiously is rude? No matter your religion, you can always find it in your heart to accept that not everyone believes what you do, nor do they have to.

    • @WrentheWrockstar
      @WrentheWrockstar 9 років тому +1

      p0xy Personally, whether or not it is a shtick, and act, or anything of the kind, I wouldn't want to make comments telling her she's a liar, or anything of the sort. Telling her she's wrong. All that does is a) give her attention she was looking for if that's the truth, and b) hurting her, whether it's truthful or not. You have valid points I won't argue with, but my opinion, and it's not that I expect everyone here to agree with me because it really is just an opinion, is that no matter what the situation she is actually in---hateful comments aren't needed, comments on calling her out aren't either(though I'm only upset by the ones actively being rude and calling her a liar and such).
      There are a lot of things that are disputed about being medical conditions or disorders, but while some have widely been accepted recently, like, for example, homosexuality, there will always be some that are never understood and sure, maybe they aren't, but it is also just as possible that we simply do not understand the brain enough yet to comprehend DID, unless we have it ourselves.

    • @spidaminida
      @spidaminida 9 років тому +4

      Wren Cooke Wren is a very cool name :)
      And as for DID being real - that's the thing about the mind, perception is reality (ew I just went Dr Phil) so if you are convinced you have it, you have it.
      I don't know why it's even up for debate, just seems terribly cruel (as if they don't have enough to deal with, as you say!) I think disbelief is just a knee-jerk reaction by people who lack empathy - the sorts of folks who roll their eyes when they find out someone self-harms for example, instead of considering the great pain one must be in to even consider doing that to yourself.

      from my perspective, the personality is not like an impostor that takes your place and lock you up in a mental prison, it's more like the change in patterns of cognition and the management of ideas and core believes all while conscious, thus an structure is set upon all that that let the person to deal with the day to day.

    I don't think you can control dissociative identity disorder like this. The alters come out when they want to, not when you decide to make a UA-cam video. it is a trauma thing, not a fun thing.

    I dated a person with DID for 3 years and it was very difficult because my relationship ended up being with 3 different people and not just one. I ended up supporting him through integration but our relationship fell apart afterwards since the person he integrated into couldn't feel as much love for me as he did when he was dissociated.

      this is such a lie lmao from my perspective and the things i have seen theres no way this is real. XD. its all of the others who are lying about it is why she thought it wold be normal to do this. she is just straight up playing. this was fucking nine years ago no wonder they were this stupid lmao. she got a bunch of other people to start faking it too its like torrets except its not real it was not from the getgo. the dissociative is from scizophrenia you would not be diagnosed with did youd be diagnosed with schizophrenia. are you schizophrenic?????? no you apparently get possessed by a new brains personality. i wonder how funny it is for her man to watch her fake this shit. this is so blatant im sorry you were int he dark lol you dont have it so it is very hard to identfy if somethings a lie or not. i want you to know that this is really funny for me and as you grow up its really funny for you too because she has so less subscribers im sure shed go that far for attention i mean come on this was nine years ago by default something like this would be enabled and this bad only nine eyars ago coudl it be this bad. thsi video has inspired me to go on a journey. before i didnt get into did i knew that a bunch of people fake it but now ive officially saw videos of them acting i know know that did is not real it was created by a schizo and then someone faked an illness for views and a shitload of people became misinformed this is just so funny im just sorry that people believe this she obviously could have gotten millions of subscribers from her videos and somehow still has nothing i wonder why maybe its because people are smart and dont have the balls to say for sure that its a lie i can say for sure it is a lie and its funny but really terrifying. people with real mental illnesses get treated wrong because of liars like these peopl learn disinformation and enable harmful behavior which is hwy oyu should always keep and open mind to the fact people go really far in order to get attention. lol youve been watching them for a while i wonder if she feels bad because she lied and made people disinformed their entire lives how damaging is that to the way you think growing up thank god i wasnt interested in this bullshit when i was a kid.

This is a mental disorder and it is very hard to cope with in general along side your rude, uneducated comments. If you comment something, comment something nice that her host personality would feel comfortable with you. It is very hard living with DID sometimes. Be respectful please.

    I actually have did.
    And it's absolutely different from what you see here with this girl. I think I don't believe her, because she still have the same mimics in ever personality, and for me it's absolutely different. Voice changes. Behavior changes. Memory changes.
    Actually, all I know about my "alters" as she says is what people told me. Because I don't remember anything, apart from few imprecise images or feelings.
    So maybe she experiences a different type of did, but sorry, I don't believe it. It doesn't look like that. You don't want to be in front of a camera with this problem, I promise.

    I feel like if you were to somehow combine all the personalities and allow them to be and act in unison... you would be a really beautiful person. Because we all have different aspects of our personality that we don't like, and sometimes others are more prevalent... but we need them all. We balance ourselves out to be the perfect version of ourselves.

      +distortia47 Unison, more commonly known as integration, is what most people with DID try to achieve in the end, but not all. After a lot of therapy, I was able to integrate most personalities I had through therapy but I am fearful of being completely alone in my mind, and the two first personalities are still there because of that. I now found a way to live more harmoniously with them, and usually can control switching. - not always though. When I'm not careful, or drunk, or asleep, we still switch quite often unintentionally, and another person usually wakes up than the one who went to bed. But whether it is a person's goal to integrate or learn to live functionally with their personalities is a personal choice. DID actually happens as a defense mechanism by the subconscious part of the brain, most often against trauma's. it splits memories, emotions and traits and divides them over several personalities so the host doesn't have to deal with all of them, and often even forgets about the trauma. This can be reversed through therapy, but is not always successful, or even necessary. Accepting you HAVE multiple personalities is actually one of the most important steps of any healing process.

    I study Psychology and DID is a very serious disorder, way worse than alter egos. You CANNOT just choose what “ persona “ you want to come out, it just happens. And the worst part is for a lot of people they don’t remember, because they aren’t in control

    • @custos3249
      @custos3249 6 років тому +48

      Matthew Verjan Same and thinking along similar lines, especially since my neighbor growing up had DID with a rare infant alter, making this seem much more like she actually has a fictitious disorder, a dissociative NOS disorder, or worse, but it's possible that's merely an artifact caused by how the video is edited and presented. If she were able to conjure them as easily as this video suggests, is so aware of the alters and their inner workings, and retains memories, it either suggests this is false or implies she's made a lot of progress in therapy with efforts to integrate at least some of the alters with the "host" or to at least generate awareness as to be able to function better. Mostly leaning towards this being either fake or DDNOS.

      I watched this with a friend who legitimately has DID and he laughed the whole time. Like he’s had to develop different physical triggers to get his 2 other personalities out, but, in his words “who the fuck doesn’t want to be in control of their own body?” Like he explained to me that in order to get his “protector” out, he literally has to injure himself in some way. He said he’s never personally interacted with his personalities beyond just leaving a note for them to find. He personally thinks it’s impossible.

Most if not all of them would have different mannerisms along with characteristics. tone of voice changes and different ways of talking/how they describe things, but I'm not seeing any of that. I don't know anything about DID, but it seems odd that these "Alters" would refer to the "Host" as "The Host" and not as Autumn. If they were Disassociating from the Host, they would be in denial that there was a Host at all, and consider themselves the Correct or Dominant Personality, wouldn't they? I'd love to hear what an actual Psychologist had to say about this, because frankly... anyone could do what this video is doing whether they had DID or not.

    • @actualleviathan
      @actualleviathan 8 років тому +21

      +Ian Jones The dominant personality isn't always the host. The host personality is the original one, while the alters (including Autumn) came later. As you can see here with Autumn, her alters are aware of each other, and none of them consider themselves to be the "correct" personality because they're all correct! There is a dissociation, though, hence why the personalities formed to begin with.

      +Ian Jones ya, i agree, this all seems a bit side show parlor-trick-like. the only explanation I can think of is that a psychologist might be able to convince all or most of the personalities of their condition and to agree upon a centralized "host name" regardless of the question of which personality is the host (they could all think that they were the host for this to work). either way a video featuring said psychologist might be appreciated.

    • @MrConif
      @MrConif 8 років тому +5

      +calvin allemand on the otherhand... if it is a performance, it does seem to have a sense of self parody. I especially liked the bit with the personality who basically roasted the previous personalities for being kinda phony, but especially "the host". maybe this isn't the right medium for this sort of thing, but I thought the two "guardian personalities" were not particularly different from the host, while the lustful personality was unintentional comedy incarnate. saying "i'm very good at seducing people" definitely sounds like someone that couldn't seduce their way out of a cardboard box, though not for lack of trying.

    I'm sorry but this is a bit sus to me. All of the alters seem to hold themselves the same way. Their shoulders are always at the same angle and their mouths curve upwards on one side when they talk. This isn't something that I've seen in other Meet The Alters videos. Usually when an alter switches out there are physical differences in the face and body, since these are different people and therefore use their muscles differently when speaking/moving. None of that is visible here. There is also no shift in the voice at all, that I've noticed

I kept getting angry at myself for feeling bad because other kids had it worse so I kept burying in my negative emotions until began crying randomly after a teacher got angry at me (luckily I wasn't in front of anyone except one of my close friends) but then on the same day I burst in to tears in the hallway (that time I wasn't so lucky because all the kids were going home on the bus) :(

      Kendall’s Critters She’s obviously faking it. Different personalities have different movements, talking styles, facial expressions. She’s just trying to act but she’s failing miserably. Especially the makeup and outfit changes to make us believe that she has different personalities.. And she was like reading from a script when she was talking about the characteristics about the personalities. It was like she made up some characters in her head and decided to read their features in a video to attract attention. The fact that she uses a mental disorder to get views is even worse.

      Duckily ART You obviously have never seen a real DID patient.. The movements of the mouth, the talking style, the way that she keeps looking to the camera from the same angle.. They’re all the same. I still can’t believe some people were really fooled by this. It’s such a poor acting that makes me really sick. Especially the sexual part was so cringe I wanted to kill myself.

    • @duckilyart7429
      @duckilyart7429 6 років тому +5

      Selin Ş. Actually i had a friend with severe did and theres a high chance i have it considering i have ptsd from childhood trauma, memory loss and apparently my personality switches on a dime. And for one, her head might move like that because its how her body feels comfortable moving. You can tell in her eyes. The one with the over active sex drive stares straight at the camera while the others look away or down, struggling with it. The more outspoken alters are always more direct with their words while the others are more careful. Youve obviously never actually paid attention to her.

    • @selin6751
      @selin6751 6 років тому +2

      Duckily ART Honey, YOU obviously didn’t pay attention to her. Let’s get this straight.
      1) You can’t control your alter personalities in DID, with saying like “ok you go”
      2) People actually act like they have diseases on UA-cam to get attention and that’s one of those cases.
      3) Looking from an angle all the time is a small but important detail. That is probably a habit of her and that is pretty personal. So if she really had alter personalities, that habit would not appear. Because each should be individuals with different habits and behaviors. But unfortunately, she forgot about that part while acting.
      4) She was like reading off a script while introducing the alters, especially in the first two ones. It was like a chapter of a wattpad story where the characters’ features were written. She obviously just made up a bunch of different characters in her mind, wrote some characteristic specialities down, studied for them and bam! There you go, thousands of views.
      It’s just sad seeing people believe this shit, I think it just shows how uneducated we are.
