      @@nilsnyman6767 fucked up? You're sick ! She has d.i.d , something you can't control , this is no laughing matter , just imagine being like her , those personalities are created to protect the "original" personality , in order to protect the heart , the brain creates them to protect her , means she has no control over it . Just because she has a disability doesn't mean she has no right to be happy , there are some people who accept others as thet are! Maybe he loved her 'real' self , stop assuming things 😑

      Jamie Smith it’s not that simple, DID is a disorder that is painful in so many ways. You might get flashbacks, you might never get time in the body, you might have too many things going on in the inner world. You have to think about the whole systems feelings for decisions and you don’t always get your way. You do NOT want DID, and if you still believe you want it, look at the struggles of others by either researching it or watching videos made by systems themselves.

      Mark Sapigao although this is true, the person still has a personality belonging solely to them. someone doesnt become this way by birth. trauma causes this illness & although every case is distinct, there is always a true self living un the center. people can't remember their dissociative episodes because they've since returned to their true selves. we must be careful not to condemn the fact that DID sufferers are normal people.

    I know how this feels. I have 6 alters, and it can be a struggle. People think its all fun and games, but at times it can be really scary. They can talk to each other like in this video ^ as they can to me. They can harm others as well as me, and its really scary. They have leaned to respect me and some others that I trust, however. Its hard trusting people when were scared of what they might think.

      The problem with mental disorders is that every mind is different. What is normal for 1 person with multiple personalities isn't necessarily normal for all. It isn't our place to judge whether she is "faking" it or not. She obviously was severely abused as a child and it left her broken in many ways. If switching back and forth between the personalities every couple of minutes helps this woman live...who are we to judge?

      Oh! Also, sharing memories is something alters can do with the host/original. I had an alter show me memories. Through therapy, I'm now able to be conscious inside my head and see the innerworld so the alters have shown me memories through videos inside. Sometimes you can gain memories through dreams if the alters communicate that way. I'v been going to my therapist for around two years and we've made a lot of progress. It's amazing what therapy can do with D.I.D.

      There's a documentary with a police officer who has DID, with his main personality being John and one of his child personalities being Johnny. John had trained his dog to stay out of the living room, but while they were filming in the living room Johnny came out to talk to the crew. While Johnny was out the dog sensed that John was no longer present and came into the living room so Johnny could pet him. When John came back out, the dog left, just like he had been trained to do. Does that mean this woman celebrates 6 birthdays but they're all for her body? So the personalities aren't like people... they're all the same person... it's so confusing but so cool... I'd like to study this... maybe meet someone with this disorder. Is there a way for the personalities to fight with eachother? I just don't understand that part with fighting, I mean, they're the same person... just different people... GAH ITS SO CONFUSING! So when one takes over... the others just watch from inside their head? I NEED TO STUDY THIS!!

      I have DID. Yes, alters fight; no, they aren't actual people with their own body, but they are different people in terms of personality. They all have their own likes and dislikes, their own memories, hygienic habits even! They all have their own names, ages, race, sex, gender.

    • @imtrinitybee
      @imtrinitybee 7 років тому

      WhimsicalDuck Are any alters born in your body? As in, like this woman with the 2 year old, if so, how? Doesn't someone have to give birth to someone in order for that to happen?

    • @Darkangel22378
      @Darkangel22378 7 років тому +17

      Alters aren't "born" inside a body, they are formed. They split due to extreme and repetitive trauma during childhood before a child has a sense of self, so usually before the ages 6-9 and that's where the two year old comes from. She split from severe trauma that was recurrent in order to help the original, or core, deal with the trauma. So while the toddler remembers, the core does not.
      Edit: Splitting happens when the brain is basically in a state of "This isn't happening to me. This is happening to someone else." and cuts itself off from reality, thus, creating a new personality. That's how my therapist described it to me.

      Wrong. I created mine by just wanting to create one. All of 3 of them, Ben, Aurora, and Tootsie Roll(Newest one so shes just getting started with names) I created mine during meditation. It was a choice, I have never experienced severe trauma. It was also a choice I would never take back, I love all of them honestly. But its also a serious choice, I dived into this head on, I was curious, and out popped Ben, the first few days of creation we hated each other. (The chat of Tulpas I was in told me they would think of their own personality but i didnt think it was possible, oh yes it was) He wasnt what I wanted to start out with. Now we have a better understanding of each other and we love each other as best friends, we've been working on Imposition, which is him basically have a sort of form in real life (of course i would only be able to see him) its been hard but just yesterday we achieved it, and it took 3 months of practicing to get it right. Now it could be multiple personality disorder, but I chose to create all three of them, it took 9 months to get Ben vocal. It just takes alot of meditation and alot of seriousness.
      -And alot of PATIENCE!!!- --- Ben

      There’s a theory I heard that you need to have trauma as an infant in order to develop DID, but that most people don’t remember infant trauma. The only reason I know about ours (I have DID) is because someone else told me about it.

    Living with someone with this disorder is devastating. My daughter has battled it for over 40 years, is an alcoholic, drug user. • @maggie0285

      Could it be she's a victim of the mental health system? I've been through the same things, years of therapy, been told I had DID, which I think is a bogus disorder. My life improves when I'm not dependent on therapy. I miss sometimes sitting with a therapist to talk but these people just do so much harm. Just my experience. I was diagnosed when I was 19 and I'm 50 now. My first psych unit visit was when I was just 13 for running away from school. That was the beginning of many years in the mental health system, receiving every major mental health disorder, medicated into a stupor, given truth serum drugs to get me to remember memories I supposedly forgotten. All of those years in therapy and I never improved. I improved when I refused to see anymore therapists. I think therapy is the biggest modern day scam. These therapists are never held accountable. I hope your daughter is doing better and I'm sorry.
