Most definitely a fan of Ike & Tina Turner! If the movie accurately describes their life together, Ike made Tina's life a "living hell." Tina was gifted with talent, glad she was able to pursue her career going solo. Sorry to learn about her illness, hope she makes a full recovery. Tina Turner is an icon R&B singer. 👍😎

She worked hard and came a long way and her performances were fantastic. Now she's about 82 I believe and just taking it easy but it's a well-earned rest . God bless and Godspeed Tina Turner!. Tina Turner is the Queen of Rock and Roll. She has sold more concert tickets than ANY other performer. Her career overshadowed Ike Turner, and he could never escape the colossal shadow she cast as a global superstar, something Ike never achieved. Whoever did this video got most of the facts horribly wrong, but this makes some of them correct.

Ike Turner was a musical genius and rock and roll pioneer sadly beset by demons. He influenced everyone from Creedence Clearwater to the Stones and Led Zeppelin. "The blues at high decibels", as Jimmy Page once defined the Led Zep sound, would be unthinkable without Ike. Phil Spector considered his collaboration with Ike and Tina, the album RIVER DEEP-MOUNTAIN HIGH to be his, and their, masterpiece. I hope the current generation rediscovers it.

Spinning giant gold snowflake and all! Haha!

If I May....being a huge Tina Turner fan like many 'most'....my gosh 'alleged' abuse from Ike towards Tina...there's no alleging anything here, FACT is fact...Tina went through sheer hell, the Movie "What's Love Got to do with it' ala perfection performance by Angela Bassett.....depicts the 'true' biographical story of the shit show she suffered at the hands of Ike. Although the doc/movie isn't one hundred percent accurate, not enough time to add it all in....the part wherein Tina begs the hotel manager across the street and her running across four lanes of insane traffic is 'real' and the truth. The manager has stated it happened in reality, many people saw Tina flee across the road....many. I'm sorry, not sorry but being an ex abused wife, it's so insulting when we aren't believed, thus why so many women to this very day in our society won't come forward....they've been victimized enough and when placed on a stand in court...they end up being victimized over and over again...like a rape victim shamefully and sadly....same thing. I'm writing this because there's hundreds of people who watched Tina's hell, and yes...all she wanted was her 'name'...'Turner'...her well known stage name and that was it. Again, I am defending Tina's honour...she's still going strong and she's absolutely one of the strongest and bravest woman in this world, no argument. Oh and one last thing in my opinion, anyone who defends what was the 'monster' Ike Turner....should be ashamed of themselves and try to locate their sensitivity chip.

The abuse "allegations" are all absolutely true. Kurt Loder, a well known journalist, co-authored "I, Tina" and conducted his due diligence before writing the book. He interviewed Tina's ER nurse, Nathan Shulsinger, who saw her regularly with: black eyes, busted lips, and broken bones. Furthermore, while many did not physically see him batter her they witnessed the aftermath. They knew it was happening, everyone in their orbit did.
Furthermore, tina corraborated this informaton for decades. Why would she flee, with absolutely nothing, and fracture one of the greatest bands of all time without just cause.
