You can thank Ike Turner for her performances..Word was he wss in control of every aspect of the show including dances, singing, costumes, wigs , Songwriting and production .THE GREAT BB KING CALLED IKE TURNER THE BEST BANDLEADER IN HISTORY
We all miss this Delightful woman and we can't even get anyone to come close to her Stratosphere. Just watch her Spirit, Talent, Energy, and humble graciousness I giving her all!😊🎉😂❤
Did Miss Tina Turner just take over James Brown's "Don't go"? Singing live..no auto tune.. dancing all over that stage and still singing her soul out!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣️🗣️
The Ikette in the middle at the Playboy Club is Pat Powdrill! She appears in very few Review videos. On the left is little Esther Jones, choreographer, best dancer, and longest serving Ikette (she should have written a book). On the right is Claudia Lennear, quite beautiful and a great career until she retired from show business to get french literature and art history degrees from Pitzer College and become a college professor. Claudia didn't need a wig. These are killer backup singers/dancers, a great lineup!
I was just a sophomore in high school. Looking back on this now ….and after a 13 year marriage to an abusive husband myself…Tina Turner was the only talent on that stage. Ike saw it. Used it . Tina Turner was a stronger woman than I could ever have been. She still stands tall in my eyes. God Bless her. 🙏
Tina was a power house of talent, she made you stand up and listen and dance and sing with her, Rest in Peace Tina, you have earned your rest❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
In my opinion the best band of the 60's : they influences all the greatest band like The Rolling stones, Janis Joplin, Sky and the family Stone etc ... They were the first to pass thru the bondaries of colours (black and white musicians playing RNB & RNR, black and white audiences) And Tina ... the greatest female singer of all spaces and times !
me too and I was 4 or 5 at that time, when she hits the score with What's love .... But I think I prefer Ike & Tina (just ike with MJ, I prefer The Jackson 5 and The Jacksons)
I remember being so little and me and my mother waa watching whats love got to do with it video i had to had been 6-7 i was born in 78.. But i remember My mother saying how beautiful Tina was and that she had the best pair of legs. She said she was a woman. Its sad to think she didnt feel beautiful to herself yet the majority of the world seen it. ( My mother is Hispanic n Native from Mexico. ) she was in aww of her and i always remembered that!
The first song was definitely in the mid 60’s because they are wearing white go-go boots which were all the rage then. I bought mine in 1965. There are later songs in the video, it must be a compilation from both decades.
Capitavating!!! I wonder is there anyone coming along or existing but we know there is only one of a kind. Everyone is different like Snowflakes. I am a singer songwriter and love my music time even now. Tina Turner is still a legend!!!
@8:20 She's joined on stage by I'm not sure whom. But it's just great to see these hard working bands you know from yesteryear. I love music's family tree. It's like a lotta this stuff (Sister Rosetta Tharpe) and co they had performances like no one else. I love Beyonce and so many others of today but these pioneers are something else. None of the tricks and etc of today. It was just raw performance and you gotta be good. She started in the 1950s so yeah that's got some history hey but it is definitely 100% awesomeness. Tina was not just a goddess but she endured like no one else and then belted this stuff out like there's no tomorrow. Incredible, just incredible.
Ike and tina were in Albuquerque in the early 60's for a rock n roll show at the Civic Auditorium. You could stand right next to the stage and touch their feet, along with James Brown and others who came thru. It was dynamic then, and now as you can see. granny 67
Thanks for the comment Anthony! Glad you enjoyed watching Tina! Please feel free to subscribe to our channel to enjoy more great videos including more Tina footage such as her great duet with Tom Jones! :)

I REMEMBER ALL THOSE DANCERS I USE TO DO THEM! THE CHICKEN, MASH POTATOES, THE SWIM, EVEN THE POPCORN! I WAS A TEENAGER BUT WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME FOR DANCING BACK THEN ❤
Ike and Turner Live LP - Twist and Shout is posted on UA-cam, but comments are turned off. Why???? I wanted to comment how much I love the album and have a copy! Scratchy from all the plays! still a treasure
First saw I & T in 1963... This looks more like 1967-69... Poor Tina, was a working mule for that creep. It's a miracle he didn't kill her. Thank God, she had the sense to leave and the best was yet to come.
Correction ... The first part was in the mid 60's. Following that "Proud Mary" was definitely around 1971... The title should be more clarified to what the collection in the video clip is.
Tina was ahead of her time... one of the greatest female performers of her time.... she was simply amazing...
Simply THE BEST!
You can thank Ike Turner for her performances..Word was he wss in control of every aspect of the show including dances, singing, costumes, wigs , Songwriting and production .THE GREAT BB KING CALLED IKE TURNER THE BEST BANDLEADER IN HISTORY
@@doitall36 That may be true but she deserves a lot of credit also...
When you had to do it live and have talent! No auto tune.... No loops...
All that dancing, no lip syncing, musicianship at its finest.
Ladies and Gentlemen, THE Queen of Rock-n-Roll!!!
She was a vocal beast and performer…..❤️💯🔥
SHE IS!!!!!

Be for real!
She was better than James Brown and Otis Redding!😊

Proud Mary wasn't til 1970
The first song was definitely in the mid 60’s because they are wearing white go-go boots which were all the rage then. I bought mine in 1965. There are later songs in the video, it must be a compilation from both decades.
The beginning is from the TAMI/TNT Show late 1965 in L.A.

6:03 Tina: "Say you wanna be my loving man
Man: "No."
♣ ♣ ♣WONDERFUL song ♣
sing it Tina.
She definitely was giving Jame Brown a run for his money back in the day Tina was an dynamic Performer.
in the performance that she did at the playboy show her jaw is swollen
I would of hated going to a concert back then with all those girls screaming there heads off you can't hear the show just the screaming LOL
First saw I & T in 1963... This looks more like 1967-69... Poor Tina, was a working mule for that creep. It's a miracle he didn't kill her. Thank God, she had the sense to leave and the best was yet to come.
docdurdin this video is a compilation of various performances. The first one is from 1965.
It's amazing she didn't lose her mind
Stop taking Hollywood as history
☺yes, its very nice... thanx ☺

You can see the darkness gathering around Ike too. Man.

Saw them live Before hit the Big Time - Miami Beach, Fl. lounge show. Am I lucky, or what?
Correction ... The first part was in the mid 60's. Following that "Proud Mary" was definitely around 1971... The title should be more clarified to what the collection in the video clip is.
WOW! What else can you say after this dynamite performance?
