just a bit of a heads up... whenever strapping something in that has a "breakable" corner or container. or has an odd shape that may make it difficult to strap properly, add some pallets up against the sides and barricade them in, then the straps will bite the pallets instead of the product.
My buddy Sunny ledfurd lives in Mooresville North Carolina. And is coming to Heppn Oregon in December to put on a concert. His wifes parents are farmers in my hometown in Hermiston Oregon. I've known them for 50 years great people. I met him 5years ago great guy. I been to 3 of his concerts and never had to buy a ticket. He picks me up and tells them that I am there bodyguard and I get everything for free drinks and food. Best guy i ever had met you need to go to one of his shows he is awesome and tell him i recommended that you go. Maybe Katie can get on stage and sing on of his songs with him.

@@davidc4988 When Justin put the word out on UA-cam that he was making more money doing cement alot of people applied for the job and work everyday and did overtime if needed and since Justin doesn't run cement everyday they didn't need him anymore.

One.. don’t complain about the price of gas… Here in Phoenix.. it was $4.35 yesterday and that’s been falling from $4.99 for the last few weeks… so your $2.85 sounds like heaven. As far as him getting up there.. he’s a boy… meaning.. Part monkey.. and thinks he’s indestructible… that will change.. but not for a few years yet…and if you think that hail is something.. I lived in Colorado for 9 years… seen pool-ball sized hail… it happens often coming off the mountains..

We believed in straps and only USED load locks if we had a rental trailer that didn't have E track, logistics track, whatever you call it. Most of our trailers had two bands of horizontal track "" front to back "". Not good for the paint or the festival! You still got off pretty easy. Didn't have to count it and take it off skids. Endless boxes, front to back and floor to ceiling. We did a few loads of appliences for Samsung like that. And? Picked up damaged appliances going back to Samsung from other dealers and warehouses. Hey! IT pays. And, ? It's usually a few hundred miles and not a Big hassle. God bless and safe travels

Only a 5 zoom. Wow apple is so far behind. My phone is going on 5 years old and has 100 zoom. Hail does suck. My truck is beat up, but we get alot of hail in TX. Drive safe

What you're at is called an MDO, for market delivery. It's all customer orders being shipped, the pallets need to be counted for the purchase orders. Usually THD outsources third party drivers to make the deliveries.

I have commented on this channel about the poor economy several times so here goes another mild rant I am 70 and retired not the best of health .I checked my retirement accounts today and I am down about 40,000$ for the year not a huge deal as I only withdraw the dividends and interest. The real problem is my account is down about 150,000$ since Biden was elected we all know about inflation and energy prices I need that lost money for home improvements and a newer car but that is all on hold right now. Most people are dealing with the same problems I have so they are holding fast and cutting back on spending that is the main cause of slow freight I was in the business for 45 years and have seen all of the ups and downs but this is really bad and I don't see it getting any better for a while.Looked like Tiki had fun with Dad in the truck God bless and hope for better loads.

Don't mean to bring up doom and gloom but.....if you have hail damage on cars you may want to get that roof checked again. You could have damage up there again.
Load boards was ok yesterday. And a driver is fixing to haul a shipping container and deliver it to Chicago. He will get a trailer that's loaded up with stuff to bring back to Oklahoma and then get a load back to Texas. We are going to be ready to head back to home tonight. Less traffic to deal with. Friends are going with us. When we get back meet other friends who are selling the van to pay them.
Are aware that you can use a puck lock on the trailer door
You can literally use a wrench and take the handle off on these trailers, that’s what I do if a shipper seals the trailer but I need to get in. A lock is just a deterrent or buy you enough time while away from truck in the truck stop. It’s not stopping anyone who actually wants in.
Just for your info: Someone is making a hell of a lot of money in the trucking business. I was just charged $780.00 for one pallet weighing 900 pounds from Mass to Florida. A full truck load (22 pallets) at that price would bring in over $17,000.00 bucks. I don't want to make you feel bad but as an ex owner operator now retired I really feel your pain and hope that things improve for you and your family.
