- In this video we look at our new design of rotary gear selector knob that fits both types of selector so now there is no need to worry which type of selector you have fitted to your car ! This selector was fitted to many Land Rover / Range Rover and Jaguar models.

We actually have a better design ready to launch which has 2 inserts 3D printed that fit into a generic knob - so now they are a perfect fit.

Great ideal Simon , well down , I like the idea with the screw in topper , when I replaced my gear knob I used a drill the centre of old topper to get at the fixing screw with the torx tool with us lot better the the lifting tool as you know . Great video, regards mark

Hi Simon love your videos always very informative. In Australia we have the T bar on my L320 2013 rr sport in my opinion its way to close to the driver and I always manage to knock it is it possible to swap out the T bar selector to the dial selector.

Great idea, Id like to know does the new multi fit selector come with a knurled top? i really want to change mine but prefer the knurled top over the machined type.
Gettings Mate from America I always watch and learned a lot for DIY repairs on my L405 thanks to your videos .. I was wondering if you could help me with a current issue about the location of the fuse or Relay for the Gear Selector because mine stopped working and stayed stuck on Drive and had to turn it off so now it won't even start on 😅
Do you know if it is possible to replace the gear indicator? The white "paint" has started coming off on mine and so some letters are white and some are green...any tips?

It looked a little loose on the second one.
Its just a trick of the light..they are pretty secure on both
Another clever solution!! I have to say the idea behind that twiddly knob is the worst decision in years...you have to be careful to turn it left or right as required and there is no manual positioning feel as in a normal stick type selector. It is so easy to select reverse from N ...I hate the thing and Land Rover no longer have it on anything now...somebody must have agreed with me!😀😀😀
I just cant see why a Rotary Knob is better that a Lever?
It's a backward step from JLR ...
It saves space and looks nice, but it isn't 'better'. It would be better if the had a Park button in the middle and just three positions…. Reverse Neutral and Drive with a spring return to the middle position. Sport mode could than be given to another knob or switch and manual shifting to steering-wheel paddles. Just a thought.

The rotary selector is not being used any more now that Tata own JLR as it has Ford patents.
