Ward is an Olympic Gold Medalist and undisputed world champion, in a brutal weightclass too. His technique IS the standard, not what some broke hillbilly taught u at a tae kwan doe storefront. Plus, this is training, actual boxing is in ring fighting. This sport is not a contest of form, like figure skating is. Even so, his form is stellar.
You can see the intelligence when he punches and moves. Fights backwards, changes angles, slips, doubles up on either side, exits the pocket at an advantage angle, loops the right throws it straight measures. Impressive style.
That brotha is putting on an exhibition in shadowboxing. He is the definition of a “professional” boxer! One of the most intelligent boxers in this era.
You will not find a more technically sound fighter in the game today. Combined with his athletic ability makes him, in my opinion, the best p4p boxer in 2016.
pure motivation for me. i cant wait to get back in gym and work the heavy bag after watching ward dominate it. also the speed bag and jumping rope segment is great too. gets my juices flowing ready to sweat in gym. great training video.
Ward will be considered one of the greatest of all time because fighters and coaches study him so much. He is textbook with everything but also has great instinct on when to use what. He is like water.
When I see a lot of guys shadow box they stand still and just throw pretty combinations. Andre is acting like he's got a live fighter in front of him. Ducking slipping. He imagining how the opponent will react and he reacts in kind. Amazing to watch.
watching this, you appreciate the art of boxing and the intricacies of the movement. Also, seeing this and seeing the mastery Ward has, It makes me wonder how people think someone who has never fought in a professional boxing match can win against a world champion
Very impressive handspeed, footwork and workout overall. Andre is absolute best in jumping ropes. One difference between his workout and that of Kovalev and GGG is that the latter do a lot of stretching exercises, which is probably a wise tactic, because this is good prevention against knee injuries to which Andre is prone. Have you ever noticed that Kovalev and Golovkin are seldom injured if at all?
I love the way he boxes the bag and keeps good habits. Too often guys overthrow and get off balance or can't move after. Manny Stewart years ago said this guy has it all and I tend to agree.
I like Ward, and i followed him long before the Super Six, where he got famous, and i don't think he's near Hopkins or Mayweather yet. The best is still to come!
i love to watch pro shadow box; ward is an expert and experienced shadow boxer. it motivates me when i shadow box. i am still learning the moves and other things. boxing is an art but very violent; the sweet science.
Andrea Ward, the next P4P king of the sport after Mayweather retires. Its not only in what you see of Ward today, its in what you can see of him from his amateur career until now, he's special.
I agree 100% Ward is Number 1 P4P He has Cleaned Out his whole Division and Beat The Light Heavyweight Champion I haven't seen something like this since Bernard Hopkins Cleaned Up The Middleweight Division.
very good point, another factor was andres ability to time froch and dictate the paste and distance..... i think he is #2 p4p behind floyd without a doubt..... just doesn't get the attention he should.... but he is making the transition from showtime to hbo and he should be getting matched up with chad dawson very soon... which would show a lot of boxing fans how talented this guy really is.
it's a ringside bag, so it's stuffed with foam and some sort of filling in the center. either sand of cloth of some sort. densely packed to make it heavier.
In my book, Andre Ward has just become the number 1 in the pound-4-pound top 10. He has beaten everybody in his weight division. Won the Super-Six Tournament and last Saturday TKO'd Dawson giving him a boxing lesson in the process. Mayweather and Pacquiao haven't been in a significant fight recently.
to be fair, dawson volunteered to fight ward at 168. but i do agree that he could show more flexibility with weight class. and i also agree that these super divisions should be done with, opening the door for a number of potentially interesting matchups.
True, He is lucky Pavlik cared more about drinking than training camp. But all in all, Sergio is very talented and could give both Pac and May HUGE Problems
One day people will realise this guy is one of the greatest ever.
''Consider'' not realise.
Stfu Daniel...his statement makes sense idiot go talk to your English teacher about it
+Daniel Dragovic budalo jedna
Until this day one of the greatest fighters ever!!! Still undefeated too
@@YNSJAYY01...imo anyway huge fan of S.O.G. but hands down first fight with Kovalev was a lost...

lol gtfo 2 years laydown
He's like the San Antonio Spurs of boxing
Floyd Mayweather, Lomachenko, Usyk. Those are other guys that are equally as technical.
@@MrKeepnit100 This was a great comparison

love this cat! One of the only boxers you can truly respect..sweet science
Technique is so bad that he is the linear champ of his division, undefeated, and an Olympic gold medalist. **end sarcasm**
Andre Ward = Master Boxer
Agree !
His accuracy is amazing
Ward was a polite killer. Very respectable, confident, and a monster.
Honestly this guy Ward is really good. He is a very gifted fighter
Ward will be considered one of the greatest of all time because fighters and coaches study him so much. He is textbook with everything but also has great instinct on when to use what. He is like water.
The last TRULY great American boxer before Terence Crawford came along. One of the best, most technical middleweights ever
His punches are compact and his speed is amazing....... No wonder why he won the super 6!
RIP Omar Henry ‼️
Sounds like the cameraman was eating a piece of cheesecake during the shoot.

You can laugh all you like but he knocks ppl down fuck the noise.leonard make loud snaps on hagler hagler was like stop hitting like a bitch
I can't wait to see Ward fight again. He needs to get his situation worked out and get back on TV

Beautiful training session.

The pride of OAKLAND
I like Ward, and i followed him long before the Super Six, where he got famous, and i don't think he's near Hopkins or Mayweather yet. The best is still to come!
he can do everything in the ring he wants to do, one ofe the bests!
Bumpin that Trip Lee "the Good Life" in the background! Yessir!

Because Andre Ward is humble...
A light workout?
This is Legendary
that jump rope skill was sick!
wish i could do that.
plus the help he got from Victor Conte!
Good to see my second favourite boxer training at my favourite's. Andre's soon going to be number 1 P4P! He's up next on the throne.
this aint boxing, this is fucking ART!
One of the best boxers today
Yow, his accuracy on that speed bag is crazy!
Beautiful work
Don't even have a fight scheduled yet and he is already working hard...I guess that is why he is one of the best P4P!
He is so good at headbutting he does not even need to train them!
thx 4 the upload
Ward a great fighter
andre ward is the best....love the irony too the best with the best
“You’re now witnessing a master at work”
shit my boi ward was ready to fight mayweather right then and there!
I've watched this video countless of times to just now realized that he switched to South paw half way thru his heavy bag routine 🤦🏾♂️ That's sweet!
great video bro
I agree 100% Ward is Number 1 P4P He has Cleaned Out his whole
Division and Beat The Light Heavyweight Champion I haven't seen
something like this since Bernard Hopkins Cleaned Up The Middleweight
Division.
the best work with the best
Stiverne in the background doing nothing
Hell of a fighter. He stood with Froch at times and he beat Froch in the stand and bang bits , the biggest factor of that fight was speed
I know ppl are use to seeing Floyd and everything but this man is a Gold medalist and 200 plus pounds.
kovalev fan here but ward is going to pick him off . this man doesn't know how to loose
Great
Legendary

Go ! Andre Ward !
No one can beat super middleweight Andre Ward. No one!
What a skillset👑
Man that whole body knock out power shit, sweet science
Julian Jackson Vs Andre Ward Perfect fight
pacquio did the same thing for years against cotto de la hoya etc. but was still regarded by many as the no.1 pound for pound
One of the greatest middleweights 154-175
Do you have or is there any video of andre doing padwork would love to see it
wow...beautifull shadowboxing...damn
