I'm very thankful for your channel even though I can't afford many of the watches you feature. They are just beautiful to look at, and a joy to learn about.
Omega Constellation Globemaster Co-Axial Master Chronometer owner here, on both official bracelet and blue leather strap! The blue dial variant with stainless steel case and tungsten carbide bezel, both straps having a deployment feature (the leather strap having an expensive large scale rectangular alligator scales), 15,000 Gauss anti-magnetic, 100m water resistant, and having both sporty and dressy vibes, is to me the perfect everyday watch! Yes a Seamaster 300m, Railmaster, and certain Speedies, are also versatile, yet I consider the Globemaster the ultimate of multiple categories plus having its own distinctive style. I adore how the blue dial is a mood-changing chameleon, going in different colours from dull grey to blue to iridescent blue! A gorgeous timepiece 💙⌚
Breguet is a true classic in terms of design and dimensions. My only criticism with Grand Seiko is the seconds hand. Some are capped(my first preference), some are not. If quartz watches are not anathema to you, I would also recommend the Citizen Eco Drive One.
Amazing picks Teddy. Love my GS SBGW253. My 2 favorite would be the Breguet and the Cellini. Pure class. Not something you see around or on someone's wrist!
Underrated dress watch for me is the Sinn 1736 and Sinn 1746 Klassik. For 1,800 you get a very clean enamel dial with a date. Also uses a Top Grade 2892-A2.
Wow there are some real beauty’s on that list Teddy. The B&M Clifton has been a favourite for a while but the JLC master control the Cellini and the Breguet would fight for my attention if money grew on trees! A fine video Teddy.
Hey Teddy i am addicted to your videos! Great info! I’m sure you get some many questions asking for suggestions, but I’m looking in the $200-$700 ish range, and I’m having a tough time deciding what i want. Ideally i want a versatile watch that is more casual, white dial, 38-41mm (or wears like it’s that size), Swiss brand, automatic, stainless bracelet. I like some of the options at Tissot, Certina, Alpina, Hamilton. Also kind of like the 90s Tag Heuers. Any reference numbers you recommend?
What did you end up getting? My first auto was a TAG Heuer 2000 that I got in ‘04; I see them on eBay consistently from $400-$700. 38mm, auto ETA 2824 movement, blue sunburst dial. I still really enjoy wearing it.
Good call on the Omega Globemaster. Hugely underrated imo. Perhaps I'm bias as I have the white dial, steel case version with both the dark gray croc strap and the bracelet, but it's my favorite in the Omega lineup. Though it's down as 39mm, the bezel actually measures closer to 38mm. How did you find it on your wrist? I feel it works well even on my 6 inch wrist, and the dark gray strap really brings out the blackened hands and indices while making the dial pop.
Allow me to pimp Teddy's straps - he isn't lying when he says they're the best for the money. I have one from his shop that was like $45, and it's nicer than the $150 straps I've seen.
We seem to have quite the same taste. I have the JLC, Omega, Cellini and Breguet on my list of favorites! Can’t afford an upgrade at the moment, so I’ll have to stick with my Omega deVille 8500 for now... Great review as always!
Hey Teddy...I sincerely enjoy your content. Well done! I recently pulled the trigger on a Raymond Weil blue tango “dressy” diver. I never hear anything in the watch community about RW, but I went with my gut and made this purchase because of the striking deep blue dial, orange accents, and Geneva striping. I believe that I got a respectable deal, but I would really like to know your thoughts...Have I lost my mind and gone totally watch rogue? I mean RW is in fact a Swiss luxury brand, right?
I have little interest in a Spring Drive model. I'll gladly take the smaller case size, and I love the look and feel of a manual wind movement (especially with no date)! Good choice, sir.
Grand Seiko seems to be doing some of the newer Spring Drive dress watches with the power reserve indicator on the back of the movment. Considering they have a 3 day reserve, that seems like a good place for them though I've never been bothered by having them on the front either. As for case size, unless they do a new movement with that tech, 41mm is the smallest you're going to see a Spring Drive watch. That's fine for me, but I totally understand that there'd be big market for them in say 38mm. I don't think there's anything inherent in the design that would prevent that. Even if it were manual wind only I think they'd do well. Sadly, for the same reason the Grand Seikos are great for me, that Glashutte line is right on the edge of being too small for me. At some point I want to try one on, but I suspect it will look a little lost on my wrist.
You should update the video to include the newer handwound Omega Tresor (in steel). Much better as a “dress” watch than the Globemaster which is more sporty
I love the designs and this is a great video, what I cannot accept about these watches is the water resistance not at least being 100m, I mean it just does not make sense to me why my $139 Seiko 5 has 100m but a $10k Rolex has 50, really once the price of a good quality watch goes north of $1,500 I lose interest. The only watch I plan to buy for over $3,000 is the Grand Seiko with the Spring Drive, the technology deserves the price.
Some great choices here. In a different occupation, I'd wear the Globemaster or the GO 60's as my daily. Looking at a JLC master ultra thin moon for a dress watch, but there would be something cool about a Rolex Cellini. Only a few would recognize what was going on.
Do u find it challenging to pair dress watches with your more casual outfits? It feels like a watch that’s thicker goes better with the casual or smart casual look. Maybe a good video topic?
The Omega is truly a contender to be taken into consideration against the Rolex is my personal view. But I am a lover & collector of the GP brand, as you say they can be picked up very well priced on the secondary market. Great review & content as always Teddy.
The blue Glashutte is the best looking of the group but it’s almost too dressy; the other ones can be worn more casually if you want, but the Glashutte demands jacket and a tie.
I have the SBGW231. I bought it for 3K new after 25% regular discount. It's underrated most of all bec a high spec Three Centre Hand manual wind like this one is very rare. You cannot find one in the Rolex. Omega Tressor has one but cost 4 times more. Lange and Patek has it too, but, they are out of reach. The hands, indices, and the case glint even in dim lights against the totally matt non reflective ivory dial which itself is an art. Like all my GS, my heart skip a bit every time i look at them as like all beautiful artwork. The soul of the craftsmen is appreciated. The finishing on the mechanism is not inferior to my nautilus. Mine is accurate to 2 sec per day. My SBGY 003 Grand Cocktail is arriving soon. This one has the spring drive manual wind. The PR is on the back case. Take a look at the mechanism. I paid 5500usd with the regular discount. I also bought the SBGK005 Blue Iwateyama at 5000usd. This is a 33 jewels manual wind with 72 hrs power reserve. This is certainly not only more decorated than the Calatrava, and more beautiful.
Love the video and the rising attention for dress watches. But it is not true that the market is dominated by sport watches, maybe by image not in numbers. 80% of the watches sold by Tissot is a dress watch and tissot sells 1 out of 10 watches that are made in Switzerland (any swiss brand). And the same goes up for most 'real' watchbrands Keep up the amazing work (nearlly 100k...!)
There was a time when Omega was anything but under rated in fact it was my first real watch as a teen was just that a Omega (back in the 60’s) still have it and still use it when I’m stepping out.
Underrated in my mind are ones that are overlooked compared to the main players (reverso, calatrava, etc.) - Majority of these I have had the chance to handle in person, but these list videos never serve as in-depth reviews, but general jumping off points to continue to do your own research to find the best watch for you!
@@TeddyBaldassarre but all the main players are overrated anyway? And the market proves it .. u get 25 -35 percent discounts if you buy them brand new ...point is almost nobody buys reverse today .. people buy Rolex Rolex Rolex.. so you have to compare it to how much people wanna buy it compare it to Rolex..but then everything woile be underrated..and yeah it's all relative but you cant tell me the outdated 899 movement is anything special in jlc at this price
I personally think, *some* of these aren't underrated. So much so expensive, or not easily attainable, Making it difficult for it to be popular in the watch community
Grand Seiko is just so much better than many swiss pieces at that price range in term of quality and finishing. They could be a lot more popular if they had better advertisement back in the 70s. Many people think that Seiko is SEIKO because of their quartz watches. But they already made 4 of the top 10 most accurate mechanical watches before they invented quartz wrist watch.
I'm very thankful for your channel even though I can't afford many of the watches you feature. They are just beautiful to look at, and a joy to learn about.
Very good selection teddy. The glashutt green dial is stunning.
The Omega Globemaster Annual Calendar (Silver/Blue) is my Holy Grail Watch!
Amazing review!
SBGW231 is such a classy piece
Another great video Teddy, thanks so much for all the great content!

That Breguet is amazing, but boy, you have to dress up to it.
Hi Yes good choices. I would also put the Zenith Elite 39mm in this group

That Glashütte and Globemaster are 🔥
Just purchased a used GS Spring Drive SBGA083 that’s just under 39mm for $2000.
Wears great on my 7.5” wrist.
Underrated dress watch for me is the Sinn 1736 and Sinn 1746 Klassik. For 1,800 you get a very clean enamel dial with a date. Also uses a Top Grade 2892-A2.
Hi Teddy
What is your thought on Montblanc watches? Can you make a video about it
Thank you
Hi Teddy, the prices you're mentioning here are for new or pre-owned?
Those are new
GREAT REVIEWS !
Oh damn early again today. Of course i havent seen the whole video yet but i can assume it is great as always. Keep up the good work teddy
Thank you, my friend.
Wow there are some real beauty’s on that list Teddy. The B&M Clifton has been a favourite for a while but the JLC master control the Cellini and the Breguet would fight for my attention if money grew on trees! A fine video Teddy.
Love the Breguet and the JLC.
Great video, very informative.
Thanks Teddy.
Thanks for watching Blair!
👍
Since the first time I saw this Breguet, it’s been a favorite aspirational watch for me. Great videos, especially the list ones.
All of these watches are amazing, of course. Thanks for the review!
Thanks, Mike.
That black dial rose gold Cellini is just stunning!
Loved my time with it while reviewing.
yeah, that's my goal! going to skip right over all the other watches on my list and go for that one first
Love that Grand Seiko! Another underrated dress watch is the Ball Trainmaster Eternity..that dial is amazing!
The Glashutte and grand seiko are 🔥🤘🙌

Excellent content as always. I couldn’t find the specific jacket that you are wearing in this. Would anyone mind providing a link?
Good video! That Omega Globemaster is a stunner in person. It really doesn't get enough attention.
Trying to help change that!
The stainless steel / Sedna gold ver. is watch that I hope is in my future.

I know you’ve mentioned it before, but I think the Tudor 1926 line hasn’t been getting enough love. Great video, Teddy!
Omg, I didn't expect that Ming would be in this video. Being a Malaysian myself, I want to thank you Teddy for the brand shout out!
is Ming a malaysian brand? wonder what does the name Ming represent. coz I thot Ming is a Chinese brand since Ming is a ancient Chinese empire
I think it's designed in Malaysia.
Love the list. What do you think about the Junghans Meister Chronoscope? Beautiful Dress-watch for a reasonable price.

Hi Teddy ! Could you make video about the best watches with POWERMATIC movement ?( ETA with 80 hour power reserve)
That seiko is stunning , I'm picking up the ivory version of that. Saves me about 3k euro and is exactly the same in every other way.
That cream GS is... Gorgeous
I have little interest in a Spring Drive model. I'll gladly take the smaller case size, and I love the look and feel of a manual wind movement (especially with no date)! Good choice, sir.
Can you do one of these videos in the sub $4k category? Some of these watches might be out of range for some of us...
I have actually. Check out my list video playlist. Did sub 1,000
new modern:
NOMOS/ZENITH/Tissot/Seiko/Hamilton/Junghans/longines
vintage
JLC/omega/longines/IWC
If you check Grand Seiko's website you'll notice they now have some 38.5mm spring drive offerings.
Grand Seiko seems to be doing some of the newer Spring Drive dress watches with the power reserve indicator on the back of the movment. Any idea if one can apply a tudor or rolex fluted bezel on a globemaster??that would make it in the bag for me, if possible
Great choice of watches!
You should update the video to include the newer handwound Omega Tresor (in steel). Much better as a “dress” watch than the Globemaster which is more sporty
Baumatic is my favorite as well.
That Ming is absolutely stunning 😍😍 😍
The Ming is pretty cool. Not my style but I appreciate the uniqueness without looking absurd.
(3) yrs later, I'm looking in depth into Montblanc, and their connection to Minerva.
Jlc is a beauty. Looking forward to your review of the series. I want the moonphase
Can't wait for the JLC video!
To me, the most underrated watches from these bunch are GS, GO & GP.
JLC Master Control Date is my favorite on this list 😊
That JLC sector dial is the pick of this list - very sexy. I do like the GP moonphase as well
Love montblanc's design
Omega Tresor and Zenith Elite Classic are missing
Some great choices here. In a different occupation, I'd wear the Globemaster or the GO 60's as my daily. Looking at a JLC master ultra thin moon for a dress watch, but there would be something cool about a Rolex Cellini. Only a few would recognize what was going on.

Starting to think JLC may be sponsoring this channel.
Great vid Ted.
Love the omega and cellini
Glashutte Original Sixties anytime !
Nice watches,Nice clothes,Teddy
Great video, thank you. How about a clip about affordable dress watches sub $1K?
I have done that video!
Teddy Baldassarre dooh🥴

Yeah was mostly referring to collectibility and what is popular with that statement. Thanks for watching Daan!

So what I really don't get is, why a 39mm Spring Drive watch is too large in your opinion when you recommend other automatics which are 40mm.
The rose gold rolex is the best looking in this review
One day... i will have a vintage constellation(same ref you have teddy) one day....
How do you classify under or overrated? Also, have you actually handled these watches? What personal experience do you have with them?

How come nomos didn't make the list
I really like watchs but I would never spend more than 300 in my tilfe. I wanted to know if Seiko srpc44 is a good watch in that category.
Is the gold turtle a good dress watch....? No
Breguet ... the emphases is on the second e ..
The best luxury dress watch, from a pure aesthetics standpoint, is the Tudor P01.
Patek?
Sharralynn Pierce Woolworth not many watches from the big three in this price range
I personally think, *some* of these aren't underrated. So much so expensive, or not easily attainable, Making it difficult for it to be popular in the watch community
Why is it that for the past year I have been randomly obsessed with watches never ever cared for them b4
GP 1966 solid gold at $7,900? Where to get this deal? The best I could find is at $10,000 preowned.
Stainless steel!

Who cares?
Please make an Overrated Watches and Brands video ;)
Rolex, Hublot, Richard Mille, Invicta 😆😆😆
The Baume would be more appealing if they took “Baumatic” off the dial and just said “Automatic.”
A bit disappointed to not see Ulysses nardin on here. Otherwise, great vid
Cellini is outstanding.
if the seiko wasn't almost 12mm i would have bought it. but a dress watch above the 10mm is a big no no for me
“Glasshütte Original is the German JLC”
This is a sentence a will resell.
Fuckin right! Glad you went back to your roots here and talked a little about clothing style.
