The Dreadnought's like one of the best RA3 Soviet Voice
I don't know why but Soviets look more primitive and less sophisticated in RA3. They reflect bulkish Russian tech more.
Well, due to Cherdenko's meddling with time-space continuum Soviets tech kinda degraded and it shows.
The Soviets followed a more industrial but dirty aesthetic in RA2. In RA3 they changed to a more curved and Retro Futuristic Space Aesthetic.
@@jrmloh Actually yeah I did not notice that at all. RA3 Soviet MCV, Iron Curtain, Sputnik, Refinary, Airfield and Battlelab, they all look like they are actually belong to a space station. Well Soviets are the ones who initiated the space age but RA2 units and buildings definitely seem more futuristic and sophisticated apart from the half track and flack cannon which belong to German Wehrmacht of WWII.
@@jrmloh RA2 Soviets have similarities with late war Wehrmacht. Conscript type of soldiers (like after the Kursk defeat of Wehrmacht), more powerful but more expensive tanks compared to Allied counterparts, quite industrial scheme, robotics such as terror drones (like German goliath) and lack of aeriel power (again like late war Wehrmacht) are the similarities between RA2 Red Army and late WWII Wehrmacht. Moreover there are even some elements from WWI German army / Deutsches Heer like using zeppelins for bombing purposes.
Red Alert 2 was an extension of The Tib Universe, it was comical, but still had a serious tone to it. Red Alert 3 is like a Parody of a Parody. All the seriousness within it, drained out, leaving nothing than a depressing clown.

Red Alert 3 had a hard counter to the Kirov so it was much less frightening. The ability was useful but the Kirov would need to be sneaky to do much damage.
Red Alert 2 had even worse balance than RA3 so the Kirov managed to be alot more scary and could destroy structures faster.

@@samfeels5608 it really doesn't feel that way to me, with the whole Yuri faction existing, Soviet Rhino being as fast as it is, Kirov and Demo truck being announced globally and Soviets having no viable siege unit. though maybe it is since Red Alert 2 was mostly just simple tank on tank combat with very little in terms of aircraft and naval combat and less strategies to work with.

hosam osama I like RA2 more but you have to admit, Air and Water combo in RA3 is more pronounced and involves a more strat.

Just a thought, I wantded to point out that Crazy Ivan's bomb planting ability would now be with Flak Trooper's magnetic mines.
When you think about it; Crazy Ivan and the Flak Troopers bombs are planted at melee range. And... being crushed by said armoured vechicles, causes both to explode.

Terror drone in ra3 really seems to be ripping everything apart

Everyone saying that RA3 units suck either a)Only basing it on Visual/Bad Rep of the game, b)Has not played the game at all.
While RA2 is a fun game, and it's a game I personally will gravitate to more. RA3 is actually pretty good at least in the skill ceiling aspect. RA3 had the unfortunate bad press because of the "cartoonish" look and feel of game- though honestly? You're playing a Red Alert game for a serious story, because the older games were "realistic"?
Yeah sure, a game series that was kicked off by Einstein travelling back in time to get rid of Hitler to stop World War 2 from happening, but ends up making the Soviets a superpower(which wasn't exactly the case post-WW1 historically). And the Allies developing stuff like the Chronosphere, HECK THE IRON CURTAIN and, WEAPONIZED TESLA COILS AT THE 1950s!
Then comes RA2, with right out PRISM TECH, WEATHER CONTROL DEVICES, PSYCHICS. Yuri being right out a saturday morning cartoon villain for the expansion! Now tell me WHEN was this series "serious" and "realistic"?
While yes, RA3 does feel like corporate-meddling as it's finest. It is a good game for competitive play and it's honestly more fun once you get around learning the hard-counter system. In where a lot of the times(at least online) in RA2 is just a snowball effect of Tank spam or Rocketeer rush. RA2 IS fun game for a party game because of the comeback mechanics.

После использования машины времени мы вообще не знаем что происходило вместо событий 2 части, только факт того что СССР побеждал Альянс и что из-за этого Юрия Сталин вообще не нанимал. Возможно война которая закончилась в 1 части в новой временной линии не закончилась и продолжалась на протяжении 2 части вплоть до начала 3 и поэтому вина в начале войны не совка а лично Сталина, который в красной тревоге псих, правда нам так и не сказали судьбу генсека из 2 части и как Черденко стал генсеком в 3 части (при этом можно понять что он уже им был в новой временной линии) возможно виноват Черденко если он смог изменить историю так, что когда началась война он уже был генсеком, либо войну вообще начал Альянс (что маловероятно, ведь Америка в войну вступила только в начале 3 части). При этом явно наблюдается нехватка определённых технологий у обоих фракций (отсутствие псионных технологий можно списать на отсутствие Юрия, а призматических на Эйнштейна, но нам не объясняют куда делось 70% юнитов из 2 части и почему те которые остались потеряли некоторые свойства и получили новые. Скорее всего промежуток времени с конца 1 части до конца 2 вообще пропал, что может объяснить отсутствие, например, робо-танков и космических технологий, а также явную слабость советской пехоты по сравнению с 2 частью. Правда серию к сожалению угробили так что мы скорее всего не узнаем это если ЕА не захочет сделать 4 часть.

There's unused units in RA3.... Some of them sounds familiar...
The things that annoyed me in ra3 :
1 the ore field is gone replaced by stationnary building used to recover portion by portion of ore.
2: the female character clothes and manner.
3 the caméra view so low compared to the other (ra1,ra2)
The ore field is the worst and even worse fact is that they run out of ore aswell first they gather only 250 credits each trip after it runs out it's only 50 lol

@@KB-13 I really hated when ore ran out, so it was basically a time limit game instead of a full fledged out battle. The allies negated this with their Ore Collection protocol thingy. Instead of 50, you got 67, so that's an improvement... I guess.
Yeah that sucked, they should have just kept regular ore fields put those ore nodes on the water but not let them run out of ore :P

That actually opened up a whole new meta for Red Alert PVP.
In RA2, people used their buildings as 'ladders' in order to reach refineries near gold rich places for faster harvesting. They also built alot of Harvesters to amp up the collection speed, hence why competitive RA2 saw fast games that ended with a Tank Rush. In RA2, the buildings would be clustered around the initial MCV building spot.
In RA3, the fact that there's 1-to-1 ratio of Harvester to Source kind of made the credit collection on a less ridiculous level. Instead of building on a ladder to increase build radius, in RA3, people actually have to pack their Construction Yard, then move it to a mine, then unpack, then build. This opened up a whole new set of gameplay and strategy as in RA3, to have alot of money, you had to keep your MCV roaming around. In RA3, the buildings will be all over the place.

The unit voice prompts in RA2 feels more like they are actually reporting from the field using a radio. It has the distant feel and less clean.
Not really, it literally sounds like they were recorded in an office (which they probably were at the time). You also have to understand that the quality of the signal wouldn't be weak in the ra3 timeline so it shouldn't sound unclean. There are literal laser weapons in use and there are remotely controlled units so it's pretty damn advanced technology. They aren't using analog radios :D
Next compare Yuri and the Empire of the Rising Sun.

It was possible to test the firepower of the Apocalypse from Red Alert 3 differently: each would be given a Soviet harvester that activated the armor and the first would be destroyed from the guns, the second with a magnetic harpoon, and the third would be straightened with caterpillars, although for this one would have to ask someone for help or catch a bot harvester with a terror drone. And, well, 13:46 the moment when the son wants to be a complete copy of his father.

Soviets are my favorite faction in every RA,but man do they feel kinda weak in RA3 compared to the other 2 factions,specially when it comes to siege units.

Hammer Rush is kind of viable, cuz they have leech beam to sustain. Soviet's are ok in RA3, midtier. The one that is arguably the weakest is the Empire as their main gameplan is almost always Tengus.
@@randylianabella4861 The empire's gameplan should be quick expansion and control over the sea since they have the best naval units in the game. Empires is the most versatile of all the factions due to their units being able to transform to fulfill other duties. Allies are the weakest ones due to only being the best at aerial combat and their inability to expand fast. Soviets and empire both expand way faster and from the very beginning.
Kokkelikirva ALLIES AS WEAKEST? HAHAHAHAHA, pwe, that makes me laugh. Allies are the most busted of the three classes in PvP. You should watch RA3 competitive videos, or atleast watch the some unit tier lists.
Empire has Tengus as their best unit, it is the bread and butter of Empire gameplay. What about Allies? Riptide + Javelin, Cryo Rush, not to mention, Peacekeepers are also arguably the best of the basic Infantry.

One things for certain RA2 unit and structure designs are way better looking. RA3 stuff looks like toys. The Kirov maybe being the exception.

Yeah. Ra2 is very casual but at the time when it was made, competition between players wasn't really a thing yet so it's understandable. RA2 is a nostalgia bomb but ra3 is objectively a better game.

@AndrewtheDuke so... It says in the wiki that is some kind of chemical reaction which generates the power,not clearly nuclear, but it seems that there is a nuclear symbol on the reactor and it actually does leaves some kind of lethal waste on the ground.

That is one of the points I have difficulty believing about the whole nuclear thing in RA3.....You're telling me the soviet scientists managed to figure out how to create a micro black hole (vacuum imploder) but couldn't figure out how to crack an atom...?

I preferred the 2 for several reasons:
- Already the three does not have this humorous side of the 2 with regard to the cutscenes, and we end up too often with women in scantily cladding for no reason and that affects the immersion I think.
Either we do in the humoristic and totally assumed kitsch of the two, or we do serious as in the excellent C&C Les guerres du Tiberium 3.
- Then, I find the graphics of 3 too bizarre and cartoons, the water is magnificent but the ground really lacks details and life, compared to an AoE 3 or C&C 3 it is a step back.
The graphics of the 2 seem more consistent with the universe.
- The economy ... where are the ore fields? Now you just need 1 refinery or 2 and that's it, there isn't even a different type of ore, the strategy takes a hit.
- The skirmishes too, in Red Alert 2 there was really a way to configure the game and in particular the super weapons, in the 3 we cannot do it and in addition we find ourselves bombarded by advanced options such as satelites, balloon bombs etc, in the end in the 3 you have to rush as quickly as possible, in the 2 you could make a real base, opt either for a defensive or offensive strategy etc, make 8 ore collectors etc, in the 3 you can not.
In short, the 3 is not bad and I spent nice hours there but not as much as the 2 which is really a must.
the Red alert 2 have that tech and that awesome things but bad resolution and the 3 is very soft graphics and looks very good the two are really incredible i dont know too much what is the reason of some people like more the 2 i sup is the nostalgia or something but i like the graphics of the 3

Heh.. kirovs in ra3 is not as damaging as the ones in ra2.
in 1 on 1 comparison, they are. In fact, kirov in ra3 could be considered more powerful than the one ra2 due to it having the ability to boost its speed, meaning it can reach the target faster in a tight situation. However, the reason why kirov in ra3 is a fairly weak unit is because of all the available counter measures against it in ra3 that don't exist in ra2. There are more anti-air options in ra3 and they are more effective too. Unlike in ra2, the kirovs have to be escorted to their destination in ra3. Only allies have strong defenses against kirovs in ra2 with the jetpack infantry.
@@beiggo21 Em, sorry, but all you need in RA2 is 4 flak tracks and a flak cannon to take care of one Kirov, maybe even 2 AND 3 depending on the distance you start to kill the set of 3 Kirovs which the AI send at you. Flak is the best AA in the game for RA2.

RA2 is 8 yrs older than RA3, but have more detail and realistic, with RA style building, units. The RA3 is plastic with ruined C&C style.( Except Soviet March song)
