On today’s woodworking jig build we’re making this universal angle multi sled. With FREE PLANS on my website, it is an indispensable sled that can cut ANY angle with repeatability and accuracy from 0-180 Degrees. This thing can really do ANY cut with repeatability and accuracy like taper boards, rip cut angles, crosscut angles, joint boards, a straight line rip jig, crosscut and really any cut from 0-180 degrees. This actually came to me in a dream! I thought this was an original idea and I was super excited about it. After we shot the video and I posted a short snippet on IG,, I was told it shares some characteristics with the Micro Jig 360 Sled. Their jig requires specialty hardware, router bits and a router table to make. I think my version is much simpler to make, is more robust and definitely less expensive. It requires only a tablesaw and one cut with a straight bit in a hand held router. Let me know what you’d like to see next. Thanks for watching! Please like, comment and subscribe. Cheers!

I was trying to figure out what you were spraying on the sled before you applied the paste wax, what it clear poly? Thx
BTW! GENTLEMEN! LADIES! Happy Valentine's Day Katz-Moses Mafia! *I said, "THAT TAMAR TRICK" not "chick." Tamar and I had a good laugh at all the people that emailed me in anger*
You do have to spend some time setting the saw up... blade, fence, etc. But once done, the saw is great. Fairly compact which is Nice ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxXh-4_3-ZT1fFWP91ZV7iVqzElr0lEb-a I did get an Incra Miter Gauge which takes some setup as well. The stock miter gauge can be adjusted in the miter slot with a little painter's tape... this tightens up the side to side play a lot.
I have a small shop that I am just fitting out, 9x19 and so am always looking for multifunctional fixtures like this. I made a version of this so I could do some accurate crosscuts for plywood panels, some tapers as well as crosscuts for smaller pieces and the design worked beautifully! My problem came when I needed to "catch" my off cut and so I made a second sled to go beside it that rides in the second tablesaw track. Well it wasn’t long before I realized that if I added corresponding tracks to the other sled, used the fence with 2 more bolts for my back fence and then added a second fence at the front for more rigidity, that I had myself a full-on crosscut sled that could be converted to other purposes as well as broken down into 2 sleds and 2 fences that can be hung on the wall!!! AMAZING! Many Thanks for your inspiration JKM.
I just started building this and found one thing people should note: The 4 pack of 24" T-Track will get you just enough T-Track for the sled, but not the fence. You'll also need one piece longer than 24" if you want a single run across the fence. I'll probably just order another 4 pack of 48" cause I can always use more T-Track. Also, the shipping from JKM for the stop block was crazy fast. Thanks!
Just built this sled using your plans and its awesome! You should make a follow-up video with all the things you can do with it!
This is probably the most genius thing I’ve seen in a year. Wow
Having it come to you in a dream is primo. I know an architect who dreamed of a monument design for the state government. She got up drew the design, entered the competition and won. It's like dream creations are sanctioned by the power of the universe directly. Kudos you to Jonathan.
Beautiful jig! Downloaded the plans, definitely making one! Thanks!
Looks great and very FUNCTIONAL! Thanks for sharing the vid and plans!
I made this and am in love with it! I know it can do a lot more, but I've been using it for mitered corners so far and they are PERFECT. This sled + digital angle calipers = perfect angle cuts without having to do test pieces. It also allows me to very easily and precisely line up my marking knife lines with the table saw teeth so the cut is exactly where I want it.
I also used it to cut angled half-lap joints. Worked like a charm! Thanks KM!
You are the absolute master of woodworking. Thanks for your videos. Greetings from Chile
I am learning by trial and error, and going to UA-cam for explanations on what went wrong and how to do it right. In all my hundreds upon hundreds of hours watching, I have never come across the highly accurate technical term “oopsie-daisie room” before. Learning something new each day! 😝
Seriously: I love the stop block and the dovetail jig (using them often) and your videos, Jonathan. I’ve learned a LOT! And the fact that you ship to Norway makes shopping easy 👌🏻Thanks!
I'm just here, still waiting for the Katz-Moses/ Malecki ballet video.
Yinz know it's coming!
@@katzmosestools My body is ready.
I love this! Now I feel that this is an essential for my sawstop!
Great concept, JKM! I recently purchased a new table saw (sold my last one 12 years ago and have concentrated on hand tool woodworking since then, but have slowly come around to acknowledging the necessity of an accurate table saw in my shop). I ordered your stop block today for my new crosscut sled, which is based on your sled build video, and now I might have to order a second one so I can do THIS build. You better quit coming up with these brilliant ideas for a couple months so I can catch up, man! BTW, as a hand tool woodworker I have to say that I bought your dovetail jigs a few months ago and they have really improved the speed and accuracy of my dovetails. When you’re building a grand-daughter’s toy box and you have to cut 40+ dovetails, this comes in really handy!! PS... I liked the shout out to Tamar 3x3... that young lady is awesome!!
I was on the fence for the microjig dovetail system but after watching this it makes perfect sense what you can accomplish with your sled!! Way to go JKM!!! Another great video!!! Thanks for all you do pal, I really benefit from your tutorials and wisdom you share with us!!!! Great Work!!!!!!!
Really appreciate it my friend!
This looked really cool on Instagram, I couldn’t wait for the video
I just made this sled and it is fantastic. This idea is genius… just genius
Just ordered two stop blocks, absolutely love my apron so far, such a useful jig, keep killing it!! :)
I rate this a "Why Didn't I Think of This" out of 10
Built mine with a couple of modifications in size (really caused by availability of baltic birch). while i had my dado blade set to 3/4 i scored the bottom for the placement of the miter guide. also added a 1/4" piece of baltic birch to the fence so i didn't need to lay the t-track proud. this is a great sled that i will show off while i train advanced table saw at work. thanks it's great!
Thank you for doing this and for offering this free. I went a head and purchased the Katz Dovetail Jig. I appreciate your content and hard work.
Great job man, I will definitely be giving that a shot!!
As usual, I appreciate the thoughtfulness and honesty in your channel, man. The opening moment highlighting and acknowledging the creativity of another company is just classy all around. And...it doesn't hurt that you've got one of my all-time favorite bottles subtly chilling on the desk behind you, either. Those Bruichladdich laddies know what they're doing :)
Omg the 1994 Black Art is to die for! I might sell my shop for whatever cases they have left of the 12k they made. I have like 3 fingers left in that bottle I'm saving for a special occasion.
@@katzmosestools Amen to that; I hoard my 7.1 like dragon's gold. Special occasions for sure. If you ever get out to UT, come have a dram :)
Will definitely be making this
Fantastic work, Jonathan! That's just brilliant! 😃
I'm definitely going to make one of those!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Great sled/jig Jonathon. Downloading the plans now ready for my new table saw, I do love the your banter with John Malecki, gives me a good chuckle.
Great work once again mate. 👍
Great Job Jonathan. Thank you for sharing and the good video.
Great sled! Thanks for this one!
Love it, nicely designed
Great jig! Lots of functionality
There should be unbounded praise for you on this.
Firstly, it is an extremely versatile aid to have in the workshop. I will be making one from your plans
Secondly, your honesty in acknowledging microjig
Thirdly, in making your plans available for no charge
Taste is personal and I very much like your presenting style. It’s open, easy to follow and everything is made correctly (safely and accurately). I’ve been woodworking for over 40 years and there are very, very few channels that I subscribe to. Yours in one that I have found to be invariably interesting.
It’s a great shame but understandable that shipping costs to the UK have to be so high.
My man! Had not seen a video in a while. Always love your end product. It will replace my previous jig. Thanks again for always putting out top notch content that is practical and reproducible.
You're the bomb! You help me daily become a better woodworker!!
Thank You!!! I will remember this when I have or make one (Table Saw). 👍😎😃
This is like the tapering jig and the cross cut sled from FTBT were thrown into a blender with a pinch of awesome!!!
I would love this great idea looks super thank you for posting
Great looking sled!
Happy to support! Cheers
We must have had the same dream! I built this exact same jig but a smaller version. The only difference is I drilled dowel holes (for steel pins) on the ends of the fence and corresponding holes in the jig at 90 and 45 degrees so I can quickly set the fence and cut those angles without having to fuss with squares or angle finders.
Afraid after inserting, removing, inserting (family show here) there'd be too much slop to retain ur 90 & 45.
@@TraconWizard you can just put steel pipes in those holes and wax the pins and voila!
@Jackson T what we’re the dimensions of the sled you made? I use a contractor saw right now so my table is quite a bit smaller than JKM’s huge SawStop table 😏
That looks invaluable.
Bought your apron off your site. Man lemme tell you what, I don't know how I worked in my shop without it. I just completed a simple project while wearing it, and it was so convenient having all my tools with me. Love it and love the sled video
wow as a newby at tabel saw sled i love this one more, thanx greatings from south africa,,, limpopo prov
i'LL BE MAKING THIS
THANK YOU
Brilliant! That is awesome!
This is great! I might have to update my sled now...
Of all the woodworking UA-camrs, there are only a few I would love to host for a day in my shop. You are one of the highest on that list. Thanks so much for your creativity and fantastic videos! - From "Canter Lane Woodworking", Springfield, Oregon
Awesome job JK, gunna have to make myself one of those. Thank you.
Thats a very nice woodworking apron!!
Cool idea. I think I may add something similar to my shop. Thanks for the video.
This is on the build list!
Killer sled. NICE!
Finally got myself a half decent table saw an old Craftsman 10" 3hp Contractors Saw. Big step up from the PoS Ryobi Jobsite saw that I bought. This is the first thing Im going to make for it
I definitely need to make a sled like this!!!
This is great. Good job Katz 👍 I’d love to see you make the ultimate best picture frame sled like no other
I bet I could take a run at the 12th best title holder!
So, the track system on the sled is basically an open smoke-box. And the fence is the crank handle with the track bolts being the slides. Genious! Great system. Yup, gotta get these plans for sure. Even if all I have is a cheap job-site saw.
Love the design, it’s something I would love to make!
And I have totally had material want to slip on long extreme angles!
Game changer!
Hi Jonathon. I just found your site a few days ago. I feel like I have been deprived of such an awesome site. But I have been on it a lot everyday since. I even tried to order some tools but Out of Stock. Bummer. I made the Micro ZeroPlay 360 sled three weeks ago, and after watching this one, guess what? Yep, I'm making yours. It seems to be smoother than the one I just built. Thank you for all of your expertise you love to share!
So Good!!
I am new to the sport, and was making my own plans as the Microjig sled is not cheap, especially when you are on the pointy end of a nasty exchange rate, when this popped into my recommendations. I love your videos, you are one of the first places I go when trying to figure out how to do things.
This is way too awesome.
Thanks very much for sharing. ⭐
Looks great! I did a jointing sled a few months ago and wondered how I could improve it. I may have to borrow some of these ideas
I just built a new sled based on Tamar's design ( I didn't include the extension fence but made my fence 36") and added a JKM stop block. Very happy with it. I may have to build this one too, but I'll need another JKM stop block! :)
Welcome back brother! Missed you!
Thanks bud!
Great idea! I will building one at home and I think I am going to have a few students build this, also!
Send pics!
Very cool!
Combination woodworking how-to and drinking game. Drink every time you say Katz-Moses stop block. (Yes I’m ordering one! 😊)
I WILL build this !
Love it simple effective and highly adaptive, you had a good dream there Jon hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa
Would like to see how it’s used...I’m fairly new to using a table Saw.. so seeing it in action would be great..
reminding me of a wood magazine article years ago
This is my favorite UA-cam channel by far! And I'll be making something like this soon with a jkm stop.
Although I have to say match fit dovetail stuff is way more versatile and cheaper than t track
man, I just came across this video, and your channel. someone in a video referenced your channel but I forget what video, it was a while back...Sorry. Anyway, this is awesome. I will be building one for my little DeWalt job site table saw. I subscribed to the channel so now I can't forget about you, and because I want to learn more, which you seem to have a few more "this type of router bit vs this type what the difference is what each does" (as well as other tools ) which I think will help me make better pieces as my skills progress. Now I wait for next friday(payday for us nyc employees lol) so I can buy the apron which I would like since I always seem to spend more time looking for a tool "I just put down 20 seconds ago" and some how mysteriously moved by itself(or a ghost did it) to another part of my garage(aka my shop lol). and that stop block, in addition to some T-track and apparently a new router bit, so I can build this. I have seen other table saw sled videos that I really liked, but this sled, boy oh boy, it blows the others away by a long shot, they don't even hold a candle to the advantages and multifunctionability of this.
Nice vid Johathan. I would be willing to pay for a much more step by step video of this. I feel like this is a very important jig and it will affect a ton of future projects. Please do the "Extended Build Video." thanks...
I guess I'll just have to head out to the shop, put on my Katz-Moses Apron and build this thing. After I go order another stop block (don't want to have to move one from one sled to the other).
You need to make something like this that also incorporates dovetails for the "Katz-Moses doo-dads trifecta"
Another great video. Just ordered a stop block! I didn't catch what was the reason for the fence being rotated from your other sleds? To avoid routing along the plys?
Maybe another video could be a table saw jig storage system. I'm thinking just a wide shelf with maybe dados for the jig to slide into.
Enjoy your videos. Curious: What center punch do you use?
This is very cool. Essentially eliminates the need for my Incra miter gauge. Hm......
Very cool, I'll probably be making one of these soon. Also l feel like it might be easier to orient the fence with the plys vertical. That way you can make the slot by sandwiching some true 1/4" stock between one 3/4" piece on the back and 2 on the front to leave room for the t track. Just a thought to avoid the deep routing.
Perhaps Johnathan orientated the ply as he did to reduce the chance of the fence warping or flexing overtime.
@@JP-mq7pg Eh, he said that his normal crosscut sled has it vertical, and that seems to be holding up fine for him. He also said that he just flipped it to make routing the slot easier. I could be missing something of course, but either way would work.
Great video, great idea, good addition; a small hold down on the fence (made of wood, sliding in the t-track) to hold down those tiny pieces to protect those fragile things called fingers ;)
any issues with the finish you sprayed gumming up the t-track?
Great video, Jonathan - and a very cool sled. You need to work on your match skills, though. In the details section, you list the T-track from TayTools at $0.35/foot... A 4 pack of 2’ T-track = 8’ of T-track. Multiplied by $0.35 = $2.80. (Oh how I WISH I could buy T-track for $.35/foot! At $35 for 8’, the correct per foot price is $4.38.
Thanks so much for introducing me to Taylor Toolworks. I buy from them all the time. I started back when you told us about the blem squares they sell. Just ordered some Narex Richter chisels from them today. They're sorta local for me too and they take PayPal 4pay. Win/win. Keep up the awesome work.
I’ve purchased everything to build this but was curious how often you reach for this over your cross cut sled. Would I be better served building a cross cut sled first or would this suffice for multiple purposes until I want to build a specific cross cut sled? Excited to build it!!!
Nice. BTW, hope you're healing up OK.
Great build video again man!!!!!!!........That thing is the Swiss Army Knife of the shop!!!!!.....P/S thumb looks great btw👌
Besides the pain everytime I bump it and the constant tingling feeling I'm almost back to normal. Probably won't be able to unlock my phone anytime soon though hahahaha
@@katzmosestools I know your pain.......I commented on your video about your injury........I did the same exact think on the same exact thumb......it will get better over time.
Great idea/video. I needed to cut a 25deg angle the other day and I wish I had seen your video. It would have handled the cut so easy. Is there a reason you made the sled to track to the right of the blade?
I have nothing to say really, but I appreciate your content, and wish to help with the yt-algorithms.
I think I'll try this with the long gap cut in before glue up rather than routing... Should work, I think...
Hi Jonathan when you made the fence with your great stop block did you have the t track slightly bit proud on top of your fence.
@Jonathan Katz-Moses what thickness of birch are you using? i might have missed it in the video sorry.
What did you spray on before the paste wax and why? Was it lacquer?
Holy shit i just recognized your watch. Hamilton Khaki Automatic, the rarely seen Blue version. Wife got me the same watch for our anniversary last year. Lovely piece.
Jonathan, great videos as always! I just built this & the crosscut sled for my shop and wanted to know what’s the product you use to spray on the wood? Is it just a simple spray poly? Thanks again for all your instruction & insight!!
Sweet plans!!! On a sweet day! Also... how's your thumb healing? Hope all is well man!
I went and did a bid yesterday in Auburn Alabama and the gentleman had a Katz Moses apron. There are a ton of us out there
Hahahaha that makes me happier than you could ever imagine.
I'm over in Harris County Ga, just above Columbus and have the apron too, lol.
