I went to toy dept in January, it's a really great spot. Given it's proximity to Cincinnati's Kenner Offices, I was impressed by the showcases full of old test shots, test packaging and prototypes!
I busted out laughing when Spencer held up his carded figure in response to your Joe troubles. :D He was all "I mean, dad, just carry what you want around, problem solved."
My favourite part of this video is when your lamenting the Gi joe cabinet being cleaned out and there is Spencer holding up Trap Jaw like "but I'm getting this he he"
I've learned that the hard way myself lol! That's why I always put them in my basket now, and then pick & choose when it's time to check out, that way they're safe in our hands until you decide to change your mind!
I've given the Toy Department thousands of dollars over the years and a decent chunk of my vids cover toys I get there, it's such an incredible store. It's awesome to see you went! I saw that big custom Mosquitor there and was surprised you didn't pick it up! Great vid!!
The Toy Dept is an INCREDIBLE place and all of us here in Cincinnati are so blessed to have such an amazing store! And right around the corner from my house too!🙌🏻
Wow that store looked incredible! Great video this week and super fun - like someone else commented, I loved seeing how happy Spencer was while you were lamenting the GI Joe scoop :) .
That clear Stealth Venom was one of my favorite figures growing up. I still have him. Hoping to get both versions on card someday. I would have snatched those up if I saw thrm.
Man, what I wouldn't give to have a store like this in my neck of the woods. Despite living in a pretty big city, I don't think we've got anything that approaches how great this store looked. Not that I know of anyway..
Approximately 22 mins and 03 seconds in just when you say Bizarre there's a very suspicious noise :) I don't think it came from Wolverine :) maybe it was from your travelling companions, but once I heard it I couldn't discount it.
The toy department is my favorite toy store to go to! They have an incredible selection and great prices. My favorite sections are the spawn and NECA sections. Those are the ones I make a beeline for when I go 😂 I live over 3 hours from it, but I try to make it there a couple times a year when the Horrorhound convention is in town.
I experienced the opposite. Saw two Mezco Comic Hellboys at a toy show and immediately paid for them without any hesitations. Then later I posted them on the forum of my latest hauls and another member screamed "IT WAS YOU!!!" he later told us that it was his friend whom had his eyes on those exact same figures but decided to put them back and walk around the exhibition. They went to have a brunch, and made the decision while they were at it, only to come back to see both figures have been sold out. Lucky me.
To each their own and everyone collects different..but it's always interesting to me to see the differences in how people choose to collect and what they enjoy. Whatever makes someone happy. But for me..I'd rather have one amazing piece instead of like 30 ok cheap pieces. I love these videos and this has nothing to do with it..just where my brain is at currently.
I've been mostly collecting G. I. Joe Classified. And a little bit of other 6" inch (1/12) scale figures. And other adjacently scaled figures as well. You covered some vintage G. I. Joe figures there, that I hope come to Classified. Like, that Banzai and just more Ninja Force characters in general. The Monstro-viper and Bio-viper. Predacon, Lobotomaxx, and Carcass. I'm not a monster guy but, because they were something out of left field for G. I. Joe it makes me want them in Classified. 😂 I also hope we get Fatal Fluffies in Classified, too. Those 9 to 5 Warriors have the vibe of the Food Fighters figures. (I think that's what they were called. Army general hamburger man, a hot dog guy.) If I was to start collecting vintage figures, it would be to rebuild a collection of the 80's O-rings that my brother had but, gave away. I kept all of mine.
YO PIXELDAN!!!!!! We used to have a store here in town call Insurance Liquidators back in the 80s. Just imagine how Ollies sells their toys this store had bins and bins of O.G STAR WARS & RETURN OF THE JEDI case fresh!! I just wish I known back then what I know now. I could have retired early!!!
What a great store! That name 'Toy Dept' is perfect too. But DAN! Do the vipers still have their token scents? My brother had both of the monster vipers, and while 'Monstro-viper' had a sort of -odd- chocolate smell. Bio-Viper had the most ADDICTIVE berry/fruit scent, and we loved sniffin on him. lol!
When you're with the whole family I bet you're tempted to do the kinds of gags like where you have a whole stack of toys on the counter, get 'em all paid for and organized then say 'aight, now for something for the kids' XD
Sorry but if a Gi-Jo doesn't have the Rubber band waist that can rotate realistically then it's not a GI-JO to me.......Even though they break every time.......still.
All my brain thinking is those mega monsters in Classified. Think they hit when was out of Joe fandom. Well collecting. Live in Ohio and this place is on my lists of shops to check out.
That 77 Back Biker Scout on the top shelf is absolutely sick. They are so prone to yellowing both the blister and figure and that one looks mint. Card looks mint too. Slab that thing!
Dan waiting is like dropping the ball in the game somewhere sometime someone is going to grab it and leave the one to thinking about it regreat that he's or her decision
This video is like a nicotine patch for collectors. You think you understand the problem and after is finished you say oh f@&* it, let me google some of those!
8:35 so a Chinese release of a Japanese character from an American toyline with a Japanese name. The packaging is written in Chinese except for his name which is written in Japanese
We don't nééd any of this stuff Dan, I don't need 26" tall mazingers, but i got them in 2018.. The color variation came out earlier this year of those exact same ones, where the only difference was the hue of the color.. I didn't need those eighter, but i sure got them. Thing is, if you want something, and you know they are rare of will sell out and will be hard to come by afterwards.. GET them
I absolutely had that Pocket Power gun…😮. I might have to pop back into Ohio again. And it is a NEEEED, as in you need to satisfy the little voice in your head from your childhood saying we have the money…NOW buy it!! Love the Joe monsters.
Speaking of 200X MOTU I wish there was an extensive list of all the variants for the line. At one time, I had 5 different He-Man & Mer-Man figures. Plus numerous variants of the other characters, too.
Has it happened to you!?
Too often,dan.
WAY too many times
Yes, how if I see anything I pick it up and keep on looking. If I find something else better I return it safely, to the shelf or peg.
Yes, yes it has happened to me before. 😅
Can you order from them online?

Hahaha
We need more true toy stores like we had in the 80's - 90's
I've learned that the hard way myself lol! That's why I always put them in my basket now, and then pick & choose when it's time to check out, that way they're safe in our hands until you decide to change your mind!
Poor Cardona. Dan's always workin' that angle!
I've given the Toy Department thousands of dollars over the years and a decent chunk of my vids cover toys I get there, it's such an incredible store. It's awesome to see you went! I saw that big custom Mosquitor there and was surprised you didn't pick it up! Great vid!!
Your excitement and enthusiasm for the unique toys that speak to you is exactly why you’re my favorite UA-cam toy channel. 🙌
Always look forward to your content! Love tagging along on your hunts.

Love seeing videos of The Toy Department as due to them being in Ohio they have an incredible collection of Kenner prototypes.

Thumbs Up for Toybiz Love
Hi Pixel Dan and thanks again for another great video and show us this great store, stay heavy and blessings 🤘
When you were talking about the international GI Joe I spied the Barbie section…I was wishing you would turn around🤣🤣🤣 looks like an awesome store!
Approximately 22 mins and 03 seconds in just when you say Bizarre there's a very suspicious noise :) I don't think it came from Wolverine :) maybe it was from your travelling companions, but once I heard it I couldn't discount it.
😂😂😂
Always a Saturday treat, new Pixel Dan vid
That Toy Biz silver age Spider-man is so great! The body was an O-Ring body so the articulation was amazing for the time.
Dan I love your show!!! I am definitely a Joe collector and a Masters of the universe collector also. Keep on hunting my friend!!!
Thanks for stopping in man! Was good seeing you again... Last time was the original Power-Con!
The toy department is my favorite toy store to go to! They have an incredible selection and great prices. My favorite sections are the spawn and NECA sections. Oh man!! The Toy Department is one of the best toy stores we've EVER been to!! It's incredible!! Can't wait to go back!!
That place is so awesome! Great haul Dan!
Great video thanks for sharing
There are no vintage cartoons on TV anymore, but we have Pixel Dan
Glad I can help!
Speak for yourself, I've collected vintage cartoons on DVD and watch them.
Dreamland of childhood memories! I

That store looks amazing! I love the fact that they carry so many of the independent lines that you only see online.
Cool Toy Hunting Video

Toy Department never disappoints. Good haul!

The Toy Department is such a great store! We are lucky to have it around here. I would have suggested you visit the House of Plastik as well.
That's a great Shop and it's all so nicely displayed.
I would’ve picked up that Bruiser Brody. I don’t shop online for vintage toys, but if I saw one in person, it would go home with me.
Canadian here, we had posters and comics both in those figures. It varied figure to figure, wave to wave.
Pixel Dan, the only person on Earth actively seeking the early 90s dayglow GI Joe figures.
That makes the 2 of us

Can't wait for you to come out in Michigan in July! I hope you are able to hit a few of our awesome toy shops while you're here.
Where can you find his convention schedule?
@@jonl4883 no idea, a local toy store announced that he and Dan Larson were coming in July
@@ThomasTrala What toy store?
Guess I should have just asked that to begin with.
@@jonl4883 Sarge & Reds
Where do these types of stores get their carded stock??
I collect Vintage Joes to 1988, I hate everything past that. But I must say those two monsters are pretty cool and fun
Love that store….. have not been to the new location hoping this summer to hit them up while going to catch a Reds game
Great video !
I’m a Jurassic Park collector love to that stuff on the shelf
I’ve been hoping Hasbro and Target would do a Python Patrol Croc master in that red outfit, would work for crimson guard too
This video proves what a cool design Trap Jaw was/is.
When you're with the whole family I bet you're tempted to do the kinds of gags like where you have a whole stack of toys on the counter, get 'em all paid for and organized then say 'aight, now for something for the kids' XD
I always wondered if you were going to come across the Megamonsters eventually. I just knew those would be something you'd be into.
I’m so glad Premium DNA announced they would do more Barnyard Commandos. I hope it doesn’t get cancelled because I love those figs.
Don’t worry. We love Barnyard Commandos!
0:20 I’m almost positive I have that Tygra still in the box.
cool shop. Didn't see any tmnt stuff in the video. I'm sure it was there though.
Sorry but if a Gi-Jo doesn't have the Rubber band waist that can rotate realistically then it's not a GI-JO to me.......Even though they break every time.......still.
Great video Really nice
That place looks amazing! I could spend all day looking at Joe's.
The Toy Department is awesome!
Amazing hunt, so many cool toy finds
My rule: Grab it when you can - you can always put it back.
...the only thing more "ninja" than hot pink is probably flying a giant green blimp around NYC
A couple of weeks ago I picked up a Chinese variant of destro from 1992
P. Danny caught slippin' again. 😜
Ah the "you snooze, you lose" non-buyer's remorse, I know that feeling well 😅
I need to get down there soon
I love how u take your kids along for the toy hunts dan
This video was epic 👍
Yes happed to me few times getting figures straight away now awseome vid Dan 👍
What's the website & store address to this Store?
Do you feel like Origins is going to be known for going ham on variants when the line ends? seems to be going that way lately.
there are figures i want to buy ,but when i think too much it means i really dont need it , awesome video dan
That 200x Trap Jaw is great! One of my favorites from that line. Now does spencer open it or keep him mint in box?
Mega viper was such a cool figure! Hope to see him in classified
All my brain thinking is those mega monsters in Classified. Think they hit when was out of Joe fandom. Well collecting.
Live in Ohio and this place is on my lists of shops to check out.
I would’ve been highly upset if you didn’t pick up that Banzai at that price lol
Saturday cartoons & a Pixel Dan toy hunt video. The perfect way to start the weekend. 😊
Love it!
This shop is amazing, I would go out and have to live in my car after one visit 😅
That 77 Back Biker Scout on the top shelf is absolutely sick. They are so prone to yellowing both the blister and figure and that one looks mint. Card looks mint too. Slab that thing!

This place is high up on my list thanks to being so close! Have you ever been to Kokomo toys Dan?
I recently got both megamonsters too, those are in great shape. I think monstro-viper action feature is implied to be balls of poo XDD
This video is like a nicotine patch for collectors. You think you understand the problem and after is finished you say oh f@&* it, let me google some of those!

Enjoying these videos .please please please can we or i have room and study tour .i been waiting since 2012 please
Do they still do no tax if you pay with cash? That’s the best thing about that place.🙂
How they can storage Sauron in that tiny blister?, and Hasbro can't do the same, LOL.
I was so hoping you would find your spencer powers figure. Lol.
We don't nééd any of this stuff Dan,

How long ago did you go to this toy store? Very good deals if this was filmed just fairly recently
Great store and video! Are you going to the next kane county?😊
YOU WENT RIGHT BY THE UNRELEASED 2ND SERIES CHUCK NORRISE KARATE KOMMANDO FIGURE!?!?!?! GYAHHHH!
Great video and great toy store!
I absolutely had that Pocket Power gun…😮. I might have to pop back into Ohio again. And it is a NEEEED, as in you need to satisfy the little voice in your head from your childhood saying we have the money…NOW buy it!! Love the Joe monsters.
Have you ever looked into digital toys/collectibles from VeVe Digital Collectibles? You can play with your digital toys in Augmented Reality.
Question is that store have any my little pony stuff? Just curious
Always get it when you see it.
I would love a Pixel Dan scratch-it map or bucket list of toy stores to visit! Does anybody have one?
