I can understand how people don't like the way vision interrupts the music of the game, but can we talk about how awesome and original vision is as a video game mechanic for a seond?
The system is fascinating, to say the least. The AI picks an action at random, maybe a Talent, Physical, or Ether art. It calculates how much damage it deals. If it crosses a certain threshold, there's a chance for a vision to occur. If the chance fails, the attack comes out automatically. If it succeeds, it extends the time it takes for the monster to execute the attack. Now, the vision can play out, be averted, be extended, be changed or be destroyed. First one is easy, don't do anything. Second, take a defensive action to reduce damage or change the attack's target. Third, topple the monster. Fourth, daze the monster. Fifth, kill the monster. If I were to take this mechanic and improve upon it, I'd add the ability for higher leveled monsters to respond to your attempt to change the future. Used Monado Shield? Alright, the monster will just change its attack to a regular Physical or Ether art. Gave Monado Speed to someone? Have the monster target someone else instead, regardless of aggro. This would make Superbosses a pain in the ass...exactly what they should be.
@@andremrh7690 this idea fits perfectly with at least 1 of the superbosses (yes *that one*) honestly would be annoying but fair and would make the combat deeper (also imagine if the boss could have visions)
