The best thing is that Zanza, much like a lot of Xenoblade, is a subversion of JRPG tropes. You aren't fighting captital-G-God SMT-style, you're fighting a power drunk scumbag who used some machine so he can play god with people's lives who he literally considers lesser than bacteria; much like a kid torching ants with a magnifying glass. Which just about instantly makes you hate his guts.
I loved this subversion in the second game too, where you've been hearing about this divine figure (the Architect) during the whole game, just find he's nothing more than an old man full of regrets with no power whatsoever. He failed on his quest to become god and had to live with the consequences of his actions, while his other half saw the experiment as a success and became drunk with power.
Wouldn't call this a subversion at all, most JRPGs that have you "kill God" usually don't have you fighting that world's true creator. They are more often than not another god that usurped the title or a mortal who found a cool rock to get godlike powers.

That moment when you realize that Shulk's self-destructive workaholic mentality that he put towards researching the Monado was the influence of Zanza and could have very well led to him becoming completely consumed by his own curiosity in what he didn't know were the affairs of the gods-exactly like Egil. Shulk’s friends were literally the only thing that saved him, which I feel ties in greatly with them helping to create the Monado 3. What an amazing game this is.
Turns out, Dickson always encouraging him to work himself all the time fits this perfectly Even Reyn, who is part of the militia, follows those orders, albeit more lenient. But Fiora, Naw she drags him out of his hobbit hole again and again despite being told to stop.
@@ultrakleptomania I disagree. At the beginning of the game Dickson was encouraging Shulk to take a break from studying the Monado, which in my opinion is further evidence that Dickson really did care about Shulk at least somewhat.
Xenoblade has a habit of juxtaposing its main protagonists and anti-heroes like that. Shulk and Egil, Rex and Malos/Amalthus, Pyre/Mythra and Jin, Nia and Akhos...
Does anyone else think it's cool that Zanza's name starts with the last letter of the alphabet and ends with the first? Kinda fits with his whole plan of destruction and recreation (he's the end and the new beginning).
Believe it or not, I think his name was kind of a mistranslation. It was supposed to be Xanthe, but I guess translation error happened or something and we got Zanza
@@loganrussell3064 No, it wasn't a mistranslation, the name was intended to be Zanza from the beginning. The name is a reference to the "Alpha and Omega", the beginning and the end, because Zanza thinks he's the true creator of the world (of course he's wrong). This symbology was used previously in Xenogears.
There's further symbolism of this with the fact he wants to keep a perpetual cycle of rebirth and destruction, and this is shown with the Monado 1 and 2 being in the shape of a musical note, as well as his wings and minions having music sheet symbolism, on top of those minions having LITERAL TREBLE CLEFFS for monados. You could say that he wanted to repeat the same song and dance. ----------------------- The theming of names also comes into play with Arglas, where he was the start of Zanza's release, and halfway through the story, he dies, as symbolized by the S being about halfway through the alphabet. This theming comes into further play if you take the note about Arglas dying halfway through with S and realize it was being used to symbolize Shulk becoming the new Zanza Host as soon as Arglas died, with Shulk's name starting with an S.
@@PeriviYohanesburgo Incidentally, Zanza's name is spelled similarly to some of the names given to African tongued instruments, most commonly known as kalimbas.
I genuinely love the idea of Alvis watching these battles and laughing his ass off while Klaus has it open on a second monitor also laughing his ass off
**Spoilers for 1 and 2** Do you guys reckon Klaus, as the Architect and Alvis might have been able to talk to each other. Since Alvis seemed to be nearly as much a God as Zanza and in the end of Xenoblade 2 we hear Shulk's final line when striking down Zanza
@The Phantom You shouldn't be reading the comment section or even listen to this soundtrack if you haven't played the game and don't want to get spoiled.
That is due to the fact that this song is an event track. “Visions of the Future” only interrupts field tracks, which is the category that the usual battle songs belong to.
"Only the Divine may shape the future!" "OOAUGH!" "Mine is the one true Monado! Instrument of Destruction and Rebirth!" "Ugh!" "OOAUGH!" "Ugh!" "Ugh!" "Did you...? No! How can you still have visions!?" "OOAUGH!" "This is the power of a god!" "OOAUGH!" "Ugh!" "OOAUGH!" "OOAUGH!" "OOAUGH!"
Despite not being the strongest enemy in the game, Zanza has collectively, the most Health of any enemy at 1,150,000 HP. When in his original form at Mechonis Core, he has 750,000.
Yeah, counting all three phases Zanza has more than the Avalanche Abaasy. Both of them have the same resistances to Topple locking too. That said, the superbosses are still harder because they're always red level.
This is the nature of J/RPGs though, the final story boss is the weakest end game boss xD Which always bothered me with many games, this was one of them.
Shulk on Metal Face be like: "I hate him, for what he did to the emperor and Fiora... But now I know there are people inside. I have to find out why! Would you even be willing to kill another homs?" Shulk on Egil be like: "If you raise your sword, then I will stop you. Again and again until we can finally understand eachother." Shulk on Zanza be like: "Fuck off! Nobody in this world wants you here! We're better off without you, so just stop existing!"
Zanza killed Shulk's family, stole his body, driven him on a quest that hurt so many, was the cause of *everything* in this game thanks to his unprovoked attack on Mechonis... Yeah, I'd be a little pissed.
Even after Shulk spared his life, Mumkhar still tried to kill them. I would have just let Dunban end him, especially considering he was going to die anyway. The guy was a sociopath.
@TheOriginalAcer let's not forget he was forced into killing the man who raised him as well. Despite all the other enemies Shulk had to either put down or talked down, the fight with Dickson hurt him the most. So he is understandably livid about that in particular. If only zanza didn't exist, he wouldn't have had to go through that.
@@ShadowSkyX Metal Face: sadistic psychopath or not, he was still human. Even if said person deserves it, some folks can't bring themselves to take the life of another person. Fun fact: if you can defeat Territorial Rotbart, you can defeat the final boss as well. Edit: You can defeat the final boss 2nd form if you can defeat a Telethia in Alcamoth.
I actually fought the Rotbart right before the final boss as a test of my *ungodly rage against that bastard.* Surprisingly enough, the final boss was easier.
Why does Zanza bother killing the peoples of Bionis? Because if they’re alive, they’ll survive the universal reset. His powers are limited by Ontos’s providence.
"I shall wipe you from this world and bring forth its demise!" "You are all doomed!" "This is the power of a god!" "Behold, supreme power!" "You cannot stand against a god!" "Mine is the one true Monado! Instrument of destruction and rebirth!" "No! How can you still have visions?"
Let me tell you the amazing way I beat the game. In the final phase, Zanza, only like 10% hp left, summoned minions. I tried to kill them to get back to Zanza, however, the minions took down Dunban with the help of Zanza, and did the same to Riki. I just used a chain attack, but it was so small it didn’t fill up a party gauge. I was then alone, and realized it was all or nothing. So I ran up to Zanza with Shulk, my health quickly depleting, and finished the game with one art. Monado Buster.
Funny, my party was also Shulk, Riki, and Dunban. Riki's debuffs are so helpful for taking out the minions quickly and Dunban is great as an aggro tank to keep damage off of Shulk and Riki.
As someone who mains riki, I really liked the fact that he was immune to every status effect. It made him feel way more divine, like "welp I'm a god so I can undo every one of your puny status effects".
I beat this game for the first time a few days ago. Definitive Edition of course. Seeing Zanza and Shulk square up like that before the guitar kicked in is now one of my favorite moments in all of gaming. And then the piano kicked in... my jaw DROPPED. This game is a Meynethdamn masterpiece, and should not go under the radar for any JRPG fan. The last time I played a JRPG that made me feel like this was when I played Tales of Symphonia for the first time. Oh yeah, go play that too!
I like how you said Meynethdamn instead of goddamn. There is only one goddess that is worth of such a title and she doesn't want to have it anymore on top of that.
@@MC_Danger_Noodle I think Xenogears is a bit too incomplete to hold up against modern Xeno games (I swear half of that dialogue is placeholder and several story arcs were flayed/cut out entirely due to either running out of time or running out of resources,) but it still has a great deal of heart and brilliance and is more than worthy of respect. It could really use a complete overhaul in many ways, though. I'd love to see an in-depth remake that stays true to the original game's story and whatnot to great extent, but isn't afraid to completely redo some scenes, rewrite almost all the dialogue, and extend at least a good chunk of the "sitting on a chair narrating" segments into actual fleshed-out story arcs. Also, maybe brush away some of those controversial lines that don't make sense/don't need to be there/don't get the actual point across, like "Guns don't kill people, people kill people" and the lines early on that could easily be mistaken for anti-evolution propaganda to the layman's eye. These moments could both garner a great deal of hate for the game and inadvertently lend credibility to certain misinformation campaigns that plague our era. It would be almost impossible to pull off, no doubt requiring as much time and resources as Xenoblade 2, Torna The Golden Country, and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition combined, if not more, _but_ a sufficiently thorough and well-done loyal remake (same characters, same plot and plot twists, etc, but rewritten/expanded upon dialogue, streamlined mechanics, overhauled visuals) of Xenogears could be absolute perfection.
And yes, I do realize Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is a loose retelling of Xenogears. I still think a more loyal remake of Xenogears would have potential. I'd still rather see Xenoblade 3 right now, though, but hey, maybe when they've finished all the stories they want to tell in the context of Xenoblade, the old favorites (Xenogears, Xenosaga - haven't played the latter yet tho so don't @ me if it doesn't need the level of reworking that Xenogears does) could get the overhauls they deserve.
Story spoilers. . . . . . . . I accidentally spoiled to myself that Zanza was going to be the final boss and main antagonist of the game. But I thought it was gonna be the Giant that was sealed on Prison Island. It turned out that wasn't Zanza at all, but rather a giant named Arglas being controlled by Zanza. I was not expecting Zanza to be a God and the soul of the Bionis incarnate. I wasn't expecting the Bionis to end up as the bad guy and the Mechonis just wanting to live in peace. Even when I thought I had spoiled myself, Xenoblade had so many plot twists that still managed to blindside me every step of the way. Goddamn I love this game.
@Manu Amadi Dude holy shit . . . . . . . I had actually beaten XC2 before playing through XCDE, so as soon as I saw the space station I started freaking out a bit lol. I also thought that them changing Alvis' key necklace to a core crystal in DE was just a cheeky little easter egg, like Malos wielding a Monado. Nah lol it's all connected. Alvis is Ontos, and each of the Trinity Processor's core crystals manifest as a Monado.
This is exactly what happened to me back when I played the Wii version. I loved the music so I was just listening to the ost and I noticed this song was the final boss theme, so I knew Zanza was going to be the final boss. But I never would’ve imagined Dickson turning on you, the High Entia turning into Telethia, etc. this game is phenomenal
I didn’t look up any spoilers before playing this game (I never played the original, as I was too young), and let me tell you, I was THROWN into a ride with this game‘s story. I laughed, I cried, but I mostly said “WHAT IS GOING ON.” I absolutely loved it, and I’m really sad that my first experience with the game is over.😅
I just wished they gave some sort of foreshadowing of Zanza like Shulk meeting him in person or Zanza swinging by to save his ass once. It really felt like Zenza(blonde) came out of nowhere. It was more of a Shit ton of information instead of a "ooohhh shit why didnt i realize it sooner" twist. Those are the best kinds of twists not the "wtf is going on twist"
Zanza: "You dare to challenge a GOD? WHAT makes you think you have the right to do so!?" Shulk: "I rebuild Colony 6 to 100%, unlocked and maxed every goddamn 4th and 5th Skilltree of every Character, maxed out Harmony between all 7 Characters of my party, completed all 480 goddamn quest (yes, even the GODDAMN timed ones!!!) and slayed Dragons that were WAAAY above YOUR puny Level, Zanza! Or they'll just use this song since this is already a remastered version. You can't improve upon perfection. But I don't think we'll be fighting Zanza again. Probably Alvis...
_"I won't decide. The future should be decided... by each and every person in the world. And so, what I... No, what WE wish for is... a world with no gods!"_ ...I get the feeling that the creation of the Moebius (X, Y & Z) and Aionios (including ~10000 years of suffering in an endless war) was a catastrophic consequence of Shulk's wish for people to choose their future.... and they chose the Endless Now as a result of the colliding universes because they were afraid of the future. Holy shit.
Shulk: Hey Zanza, who's stronger you, or Avalanch Abbasy? Zanza: The Abbasy was the crown of my creation. It's as strong, no, stronger than I am. Shulk who already beat the Avalanch Abbasy: Is he still alive? Zanza: F***
The Phantom Well that’s one of the main themes. The power “reserved only for god” actually exists inside of them. They too have the ability to change the world. Alvis/Monado appearing to them embodies this, as he is the closest thing the universe has to a “true god” (he’s modeled after the concept of the Monad from Gnosticism). So if you think about it, they have the power of god and anime on their side
I too planned to do that, but this song is reused in Future Connected, so since I played that first I technically heard this song in-game allowing me to be here without violating that rule.
I’ve gotta be honest, I think this is the only JRPG I’ve ever played where when the story pivoted from the human antagonist to fighting a god it didn’t feel forced. The road to Zanza didn’t feel like mediocre content to pad playtime, it felt truly like this was what they were building to the whole time. Probably because Zanza’s entire plan was in your face the entire game you just didn’t have the context to realize it on top of the fact they hid it using a blatantly obvious plot twist with Mumkhar to draw the player’s attention away, which has got to be one of teh most creative moves I’ve seen in a game.
Always interpreted the metal sounds at 2:15 as symbolizing the fall of the Mechonis trough the hands of Zanza. I‘m not sure if that was the intention behind it but it‘s a small Theory I had for a while now
*You're WRONG! Meyneth... chose to exist alongside us. She grew to consider us her friends. You should have excepted that. But... what you were hoping for... was not friendship. You wanted worthless slaves! Our lives as food!*
"Just as I suspected..it appears I was mistaken to grant free will." "However, all will soon be over." "The telethia will exterminate all life on Bionis." "I will then create a new world..just as I have done many times before!"
This song, and the boss that went with it, made Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition my favorite video game of all time. Edit: Okay, second favorite
Hearing this was my highlight in this remastered. I was so excited when I entered the cutscene. And seeing Zanza in his HD-Bionis Suit while this awesome Metal-Choir Remix played... I struggled a bit in the second phase but after I used the combination of Shulk, Dunban and Riki, it went very well. And on top of that I was able to defeat Zanza with a chain attack where Riki dealt the final blow with "Say Sorry" - Now I have to imagine how he says "Bad Zanza! Bad!" It was probably one of the greatest moments in a video game I ever had - even though I already saw these scenes at least two times at this point. Xenoblade DE is a wonderful addition to the Xeno-Series and a must have for everyone who hasn't witnessed it on the previous consoles.
it's still something about that initial drop into the guitar and the slow drum build-up and piano hit thats captivates me even nearly ten years after my first time hearing this
Pretty much the same situation. I recently finished the main game and the future connected and now I am playing through Torna again before tackling Xenoblade 2 XD
Best boss theme. I saw this from the comments on the old version yeeeears ago but they were totally right - guitar = power vocals = holiness piano = chaos I love it!
I knew Zanza was the bad guy, but I didn't know it was Klaus, I thought it was Arglas. This game threw me for so many fucking loops, like I expected to high hell that Dickson was in on it the whole time, but it STILL blew me out of the water. and Shulk being dead the whole time FUCKED ME UP, the twists and turns are so insane that even though I knew who Zanza was, It STILL felt like a spoiler free playthrough. Speaking of spoilers, dont bitch at me for them, you shouldn't even be here if you didn't finish the fucking game.
This song is so great because it brings everything full circle. Throughout the whole game, you hear vocals like the ones in this song hinting at an ancient power acting as the driving force from the beginning. And now, as the final challenge, you are fighting that power, and that’s represented by the vocals becoming a battle theme.
Headcanon: the choir and piano is Zanza's divine belief in his superiority while the electric guitar and drum bass is Shulk's personal grudge against Zanza seeping through the theme having been his vessel for the entire game
the introduction of the twinkling piano notes following the HARD guitar never fails to send a shiver down my spine. god definitive edition did this song so well
Love how this song is powerful and melodic, but it’s not overstated or bombastic or overproduced. No instrument fights another for spotlight. They’re all performing exactly as intended.
No OWA it's one of the most iconical musics of games and Sephiroth is the same but for villains Zanza the Divine it's awesome but Zanza it's just a generic evil god and probably only Xenoblade fans know this song
I love the piano in this theme. Even some of the time when its less noticeable then other instruments you can still hear the melody it adds. I think at some points it answers to the chorus too.
“You mere vessels DARE to oppose the will of a god? Then I shall obliterate EVERYTHING with my unimaginable power!” This line line sums up Zanza’s character in such a fantastic manner, it shows how little he thinks of mortal lives while conversely showing how highly he regards himself, never before have I experienced a story that displays the “arrogance of a creator” in such a stunning way.
Dunban himself comments on that. He even mentions that Zanza was trapped by mere High Entia on Prison Island, and Zanza bluffs, saying "I was merely... RESTING there, for a while..." This game is perfect!!
It's so funny too, he can't live up to his own hype and he knows it but he keeps using bluster and shows of violence to try to convince you as well as himself. Makes for a great and megamaniacal villain.
I love that one part where he's overwhelming meyneth and he almost seems giddy with how powerful he perceives himself. "And who decides that?! A God! :D"
@@Tonjit41 Yeah, but there he was also mocking Meyneth's claiming that Zanza has no right to call himself a god, which is funny, because the only people with enough authority to declare the rights of a god are gods themselves, which both of them were lmao So Meyneth's line there was either hypocritical or non-sensical if you think about it.

Turns out, Dickson always encouraging him to work himself all the time fits this perfectly
Even Reyn, who is part of the militia, follows those orders, albeit more lenient.
But Fiora, Naw she drags him out of his hobbit hole again and again despite being told to stop.
Exactly! Egil is a dark reflection of Shulk -- the person Shulk would have become if he hadn't turned away from his path of vengeance.
@@ultrakleptomania I disagree. At the beginning of the game Dickson was encouraging Shulk to take a break from studying the Monado, which in my opinion is further evidence that Dickson really did care about Shulk at least somewhat.
And a reflection of Zanza himself. Under all of the hubris, all of the madness, was a man afraid to let go
Xenoblade has a habit of juxtaposing its main protagonists and anti-heroes like that.

Could also be a callback to Xenogears opening.
-----------------------
The theming of names also comes into play with Arglas, where he was the start of Zanza's release, and halfway through the story, he dies, as symbolized by the S being about halfway through the alphabet.

Finally, I keep trying to remind people that Zanza was a good guy till Klaus took over. Friends with both Meyneth and Egil.
My party was Shulk, Reyn, Fiora. We flew through the battle, me getting pissed because he kept going into new phases that weren't much stronger
I now realise this was because I was in Casual Mode
I beat the game in the best way possible: With the beast.
I also beat it with Buster
Funny, my party was also Shulk, Riki, and Dunban. Riki's debuffs are so helpful for taking out the minions quickly and Dunban is great as an aggro tank to keep damage off of Shulk and Riki.

I didn’t noticed even though Riki was in my party while fighting Zanza. I was too busy feeling the music while doing massive damage as offensive Reyn.

Riki is still a god though.
Oh yeah, go play that too!
both fantastic games. i reccomend xenogears too. imo best story ever told in a game.
I like how you said Meynethdamn instead of goddamn. There is only one goddess that is worth of such a title and she doesn't want to have it anymore on top of that.
Zanza is very similar to Yggdrasil/Mithos. This comparison becomes even more apt in Xenoblade 2.

It was probably one of the greatest moments in a video game I ever had - even though I already saw these scenes at least two times at this point. Xenoblade DE is a wonderful addition to the Xeno-Series and a must have for everyone who hasn't witnessed it on the previous consoles.
I do not regret putting off listening to this rearrangement until I got to Zanza in Definitive Edition. Totally worth it.
1:21 that drumwork though...
MAN THE VIOLINS AT 1:43 ARE ABSOLUTE FIRE
it's still something about that initial drop into the guitar and the slow drum build-up and piano hit thats captivates me even nearly ten years after my first time hearing this
I've already played this game like three times, but finishing DE just made me want to replay XC2 and then replay this again.
Help
no help required
Xenoblade is so good, I could literally play all the games repeatedly for years without being bored
Pretty much the same situation. I recently finished the main game and the future connected and now I am playing through Torna again before tackling Xenoblade 2 XD
I feel the same way
I love these game
Yo I just want to update, I didn't replay XC2. I'm actually replaying every Xeno game now.
Send help.
Best boss theme. I saw this from the comments on the old version yeeeears ago but they were totally right -
guitar = power
vocals = holiness
piano = chaos
I love it!
_”A god, should not long for steak.”_
Zanza: NOOOOO YOU CANT JUST KEEP HAVING VISIONS WHEN I TOOK YOUR OP SWORD FROM YOU
Shulk: haha true monado go brrrr
This song is so great because it brings everything full circle. Throughout the whole game, you hear vocals like the ones in this song hinting at an ancient power acting as the driving force from the beginning. And now, as the final challenge, you are fighting that power, and that’s represented by the vocals becoming a battle theme.
Headcanon: the choir and piano is Zanza's divine belief in his superiority while the electric guitar and drum bass is Shulk's personal grudge against Zanza seeping through the theme having been his vessel for the entire game
the introduction of the twinkling piano notes following the HARD guitar never fails to send a shiver down my spine. god definitive edition did this song so well
Still my favourite final boss track in a xenoblade game. The song makes you feel that you’re defying the will of god
Love how this song is powerful and melodic, but it’s not overstated or bombastic or overproduced. No instrument fights another for spotlight. They’re all performing exactly as intended.
IT WAS NEVER ZANZA'S THEME IT WAS HIM ALL ALONG OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I know what you mean but of course it's Zanza's theme, just as in the theme of the so called Zanza's world.
Could you wait for the actual DLC to release?
no harm in speculation
@Oracle well no...but yez there is when you're making leaps and bounds before knowing all the facts.....it's still zanzas theme....
what do you think speculation means
The one winged angel of Xenoblade
Nah that would be Jin's theme
@@lolekbolek916 hell no💀
No
OWA it's one of the most iconical musics of games and Sephiroth is the same but for villains
Zanza the Divine it's awesome but Zanza it's just a generic evil god and probably only Xenoblade fans know this song
@@onewingedren2228 just because it's not as well known, doesn't mean it isn't as good
@@onewingedren2228 why does it matter if it’s well known or not
It’s still a great song
Also they said the One winged angel OF Xenoblade
I love the piano in this theme. Even some of the time when its less noticeable then other instruments you can still hear the melody it adds. I think at some points it answers to the chorus too.
“You mere vessels DARE to oppose the will of a god? Then I shall obliterate EVERYTHING with my unimaginable power!”
This line line sums up Zanza’s character in such a fantastic manner, it shows how little he thinks of mortal lives while conversely showing how highly he regards himself, never before have I experienced a story that displays the “arrogance of a creator” in such a stunning way.
Dunban himself comments on that. He even mentions that Zanza was trapped by mere High Entia on Prison Island, and Zanza bluffs, saying "I was merely... RESTING there, for a while..."
This game is perfect!!
It's so funny too, he can't live up to his own hype and he knows it but he keeps using bluster and shows of violence to try to convince you as well as himself. Makes for a great and megamaniacal villain.
I know right? Who tf talks about their own capabilities as "unimaginable" lmao
I love that one part where he's overwhelming meyneth and he almost seems giddy with how powerful he perceives himself. "And who decides that?! A God! :D"
@@Tonjit41 Yeah, but there he was also mocking Meyneth's claiming that Zanza has no right to call himself a god, which is funny, because the only people with enough authority to declare the rights of a god are gods themselves, which both of them were lmao
So Meyneth's line there was either hypocritical or non-sensical if you think about it.
alright guys we gotta figure this out, after FR, was shulks wish of a world without gods REALLY a good idea?
The idea was good. What happened when the idea was put into practice were unexpected mishaps.
@@LittleAl016Yeah, Shulk couldn't have forseen the events that would lead to Alvis being corrupted and split.
The worst thing Ive done to myself is probably watched a lets play of this game, when it was still on the wii obviously. I wouldve loved to experience this game for first time by playing it myself. Watching it and playing it were still extremely satisfying though, and its by far my favorite game ive experienced.
Alvis the divine soon
I haven’t played this yet, gonna no life it when I get home from work.
This soundtrack is epic as fuck, sounds like end game boss music.
Don't look for anything related to the game online (even any replies here, to be sure) as you will get spoilers. I can assure you that the game and soundtrack are brilliant.
It's literally the Pre-Final Boss OST (The Final Boss OST is God Slaying Sword)
ZetaRhythm I’ve waited so long and I have nothing spoiled for me, besides the ending of XC2, I’m already 25 hours in, game is amazing.
@@GaryGlass1 Wow. I'm only 3 hours in, then again I do struggle with long sessions. I'm gald you're enjoying it.
Update guys, I can’t beat this fucking assassin with the pet Telethia 🥺 whole party is level 40
Yeah this slaps in that ONE moment in Future Connected
and the one time in FC with unfinished battle was epic as well
Harold McCarty oh rip
Harold McCarty I was too overleveled the whole time, never got to the end of the song in that battle and I guess I’m glad I did, didn’t want to ruin the immersion
This song's opening is Alcamoth's main theme in FC, I'm almost sure of it.
Magmadude
Same here, I did EVERY sidequest in future connected before the siege of Gran Dell.
Cannot wait to hear Xenoblade 3's final boss music~
Doesn't top this. I like the "enemies of the world" leitmotif but XC3's soundtrack lacks the energy of XC2 and the memorable melodies from XC1.
It’s good but it doesn’t get amazing until the guitar kicks in on the second phase. That slaps, but zanza the divine is amazing start to end
@@Laenthor I get the opinions on field themes (I love them but I get where people come from) but the battle music is imo the best in the series by a long shot
@@brycecartwright2403 I never got tired of the chain attack theme so that's saying something. Just wish some areas had bops like mor ardain.
@@Laenthor it was definitely more atmospheric than 2 and more along the lines of 1, though not quite as memorable. Still, it’s only barely the weakest ost because of how amazing the other ones are lol
Just finished the game and OMFG WHAT A WAY TO END! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh my god, they took the best track in a game with already 10/10 soundtrack and made it even better. I am not disappointed in this remix.
There are only two reactions to when this song plays.
1. TIME TO KILL A GOD
Or
2. OH GOD
Every time I hear that first guitar drop, I keep imagining Riki crying 'You can do it!' as a cheer/battle cry.
Wait so my party is literally bionis' cancer?
i suppose youre right
Let the joy of love give u cancer 😁
Looked the version up now because I don't want to wait like 2 months to hear it
I originally didn't want to, but a friend convinced me to for the exact same reasoning.
I hope this version gets released onto music streaming services.
@@lesqeef6601 would you prefer a radio type youtube channel that has some vgm on it?
Betty McCloud No, I’m talking like it getting onto say, ITunes, or maybe Spotify.
I just beat the game. This track is so good. It reminds me of Steve Hackett's solo career at parts.
