    Hon, the dude that was dancing is a jailbait John Travolta in his first movie role from "Saturday Night Fever." He didn't even know how to dance when he got this role, but he went off and trained like a lunatic so they didn't have to use a body double -- and he killed it. This role basically started his career.

      @@Zlata1313 And it really improved the movie -- they could shoot him in a Fred-Astaire-style full-figure, which made it a lot more impressive. Dance doubles are jarring to the eye.

    This is the song in the movie when Travolta is just tearing up the dance floor and everyone backs off and watches!!! F'N John Travolta studied and learned to dance, awesome!!! Excellent point on the echo harmonies, I never noticed that...

    These guys were masters of harmony.......have been doing it almost from their cradle....Barry was about 9 and the twins were 5 or 6 when they formed their first band the Rattlesnakes and performed on street corners in Manchester England .....they never stopped from there.......

    Echo harmonies, great insight. So yes, i think everything they did was purposeful. Definitely not coincidental. They knew what they wanted the sound to be, them realized it. Great group. Heavenly harmonies. Lush lookers

      What sounds like an echo is 2 parts of of the line of lyrics-- 'What you doin' on your bed' -- followed by 'on your back' .... You should be dancing, yeah

    Well, it may have been John Travolta's FIRST best moment of his life... Anyway, fun song and good to see Andy singing with the other three. He had a pretty successful solo career. Two of his hits were I Just Want to be Your Everything and Shadow Dancing. Sadly, he died in 1988 at 30 years old.

    John Travolta is the actor/dancer in the classic movie and movie soundtrack, Saturday Night Fever. Those who have never seen this movie should check it out. It doesn't just have a lot of great music and dancing, it also has a great story and is an all-time classic great movie.

    Just FYI: They didn't create this music for the movie, they already had the songs written for their next album and their manager used them for his movie project, Saturday Night Fever. They considered themselves blue-eyed soul R&B. Just FYI. :)

      I'm so glad to see you bring out that point. Most people believe that they wrote songs for the movie when it was completely the other way around! The movie wasn't yet scripted, so it was modeled to work around their music.

    As for the BeeGees, my favorite was Robin. His songs are beautiful. Barry was interviewed and he demonstrated how he found his falsetto. He has an amazing sense of humor. Barry has a son that looks just like him.
    Edit: check out BeeGees: One Night Only for your own benefit. They did a beautiful tribute to their younger brother Andy, and watch Saturday Night Fever, in your spare time. You won't regret it.

    • @willow_wise
      @willow_wise Рік тому +5

      @@susanhunter7124 I love Robin, but I do like all the brothers and all their voices. I especially like songs where they share lead. I think there was an era where Barry got ALL the attention and was considered by many to be the "leader" and I didn't like that because in my mind they were all a part of the whole and it just didn't work without all three doing their part. I am also not a huge fan of Barry's falsetto when it is over used, but I do really like his natural voice. For me this song is sort of an anomoly to the falsetto cause it's just a fun song that makes you move. What I love most about Bee Gees is their is so much variety for every mood.

      @@willow_wise I'm glad that you like them all. However, Robin and Maurice for me. I'm on the bad list for not singling out Barry. 👎 Robin was always the "underdog" in some people's views. Keep in mind, he co-wrote over 95% of their songs. He came up with the idea for many of them. For example, I Started A Joke and Massachusettes. Honestly, when I first heard Barry's voice, I became sick and 🤢. I have migraines, and it didn't help.
