- Sequential Take 5 synth demo featuring sounds, patches & presets. This Sequential Take 5 no talking analog synthesizer demo covers a variety of sounds including pads, leads, bass, plucks, fx and more. Filmed at Sequential headquarters.
The Sequential Take 5 is a 5-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer with 2 VCOs per voice (variable sine, saw, pulse width), hard sync, sub osc, FM and a Prophet-5 low-pass filter. It also has two 5-stage envelopes (ADSR + delay), LFO w/ multiple waveshapes (tri, saw, reverse saw, square, random), built-in digital effects, white/pink noise, vintage knob, arpeggiator, polyphonic step sequencer (64-steps), glide, unison, aftertouch, mod matrix and more.
The Take 5 is powerful, versatile and fun analog synth that combines the power of the Prophet 5 Rev 4 filter + effects & mod matrix for lots of creative sound design possibilities. It can sound quite huge and is great for leads, bass, pads and interesting fx timbres. I really enjoyed my time with the Take 5 and found the sound modern and inspiring. @@MrCcflyI own the Take-5...I almost bought a DM12 but once I played the Take-5 I realized that it is 100x nicer than the DM12. Build quality is better...effects are nicer...I can get more sounds out of it and every sound is so much richer and warmer.
I don‘t know - the T5 is certainly an excellent synth, but compared to the Prophets, even the Rev2 with DCOs, it sounds harsh and cold in every demo. If it‘s true that it got the P5 filters, the reason must be the oscillators or something else in the signal path.
I enjoyed my time with it, it sounds very modern to my ear.
T5 and P5R4 both use the SSI2140 filter which is a clone of the classic SSM2040 of the P5 Rev1&2. on the T5 it is q compensated tuned. it honestly sounds even nicer than the Prophet.
The T5 oscillators are SSI2130. I imagine they are CEM3340 clones but I have not fount that documentation yet.
T5 sounds very vintage in person to my ears.
When you set the occilator levels below 50%, deactivate the effects and create a basic patch from scratch it sounds different.
