2022 - 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee - How to Unlock, Open & Start With Dead Remote Key Fob Battery

A video tutorial on how to unlock, open and start a 2022 - 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a remote key fob that dead battery or is otherwise not working.
If the remote key fob for your Jeep Grand Cherokee has a dead battery or is otherwise not working, you will need to use the emergency key located in the bottom of your smart key remote fob. Once the emergency mechanical key is removed from the remote key fob, you will then use it to unlock the driver's door. After unlocking the Jeep Grand Cherokee driver's door with the mechanical key and opening the door, the alarm will begin to sound. You need to start your Jeep Grand Cherokee in order to stop the alarm. To start your Jeep Grand Cherokee with a dead remote key fob, you need to press the brake pedal and then use the top of your smart key remote fob to press the Stop/Start button. You should replace the battery or repair the remote key fob for your Jeep Grand Cherokee as soon as possible.

Will the emergency key fit in the lock both ways? Or does the end of it ONLY point to the right? I tried to get a backup key made and it wont go in. My factory emergency key only goes in one way and not the other. They DO both go in the glove box lock both ways. Have a 2024 GR Chrk Altitude X

@@PYR-Auto So I went to the dealer and checked a few and ALL of them only go in 1 way, Looks like that was intentional as closer inspection would indicate if they could go in the other way they would hit and scrape the door handle. Now I have to figure out what the difference is from each side so I can get a spare key modified.
