Ronnie, get yourself a dashmat and glue a piece of Velcro (the hook side) to the back of the UHF mic. The mic can then be placed anywhere on the dashmat while driving...works a treat.

I'm always happy when a new vid is released (especially the hilux vids) and I'm always looking forward to the next vid. Thanks mate!
Awesome trip. We were there this end of winter. The rivers were not crossable because they where thigh deep. Will go again to redeem those crossings. Good video mate.
really impressed with the videography again. The shots, the editing. So improved this year. I've watched you from the beginning. You've improved in leaps and bounds. Well done.
I know it is not an area you usually cover but it would be great to go to Jayco or one of the caravan makers and borrow a 3-ton van for the day to do a fuel consumption test between the Hilux and the cruiser. Also, a hill towing comparison.
Watched this video in the swag this morning while camping in the Coffin Bay National Park after driving in. After seeing the effects of lowered tyre pressure decided to drop mine a bit more than I had previously for the drive out today. Also made sure traction control was off lol. Made such a massive difference flying over the soft stuff as opposed to bogging down and struggling significantly more on the way in. Will go straight down as low as I did next time for sure. Learning experience I guess
I was not there but it looked like you could have picked a different line and ride the ruts one wheel on the middle the other on a side. It is what I do with my non lifted hilux. A bit riskier maybe but it works in many situations. So you get there, slower but you still get to the nice spots. Great video.
Ronni, up under the styleside tub runners, you can install magnetic L.E.D lights along both long sides of the tray (tail gate to cabin) tucked up and out of the way of any interference. The panels are folded and create a c type channel section hidden out of the way of interference and also weather.
Ronny you have no idea how long i've been waiting for you to upload! And here you are, blessing us with an amazing 30minute offroading video with the luxy! thanks man also are you going to review any other cars? if so, consider a 200 and fortuner, thanksss
Hi Rhonny another fantastic episode with your Hilux. You need a suspension upgrades to lessen the bounse and get more ground clearance as well. Watching from Philippines pal.
I like that you're showing the truck's shortcomings instead of glossing over them. That's just as important to know. Also, were you using Fenrir's high beams? It looked like you had the regular low beams on when you were complaining about how dark it was.
@@Ronny_Dahl that's weird because that's what low beams look like here in the states. High beams here will light up everything, even stuff over the car's roof.
the headlights on my new 4x4 are shocking, to say the least, just added a light bar and my first I don't think id ever go back to twin spotlights it's so good. also had the same issue with bunny hopping added 3ton tow bar and a bull bar helped heaps but thinking some revised rear shockers will fix the issue altogether. I enjoyed this video I like the simple camp set up and these days eskys are really good these days for short trips
Got my LC 105r recently and I've noticed the same, it's fairly light compare to rigged up utes and I need to go to lower tyre pressure. When Ronny said about 15 psi I immediately thought: nah, mate, you'd need to go down to 10 with how light it is.
I really like that Hilux, sadly not available here in the states. I do have the GMC Canyon 2.8 diesel and it seems very similar to your toyota in size and weight and power just not half as reliable as a Toyota. But I make due with what is available and really enjoy the vids and information you produce.
I’m loving this series. On my Hilux I have an ARB rear bar that works really well and provides protection to the panels behind the rear wheels. One change I had to make was to install an angle exhaust tip, otherwise the exhaust would blow straight back onto the rear bar and on a long trip heat it up.
I like your video, the angles, how it is presented and the amount of effort you put into it. learned heaps from this vid as well. we are deciding to get a hilux rogue but the price is too dear. so we dont know anymore.it will just be a dream.
Hey ronny not sure bout the new hilux but my 2017 hilux already had the front diff and the A.D.D breather extended just under the fuel filter. The transfer case and transmission breather were already extended just behind the engine near where the exhaust goes down under the car so might b the sams with the new models as well. Hope it helps

Until I saw you driving the Hilux I had always wanted a Cruiser 🤭 But... we can't get those here in the UK but we can get the Hilux although I'm not too sure about your model! Very good to see them both compared together though. Many thanks.
interested to hear your thoughts as to why 33's wont fit without a lift? the same work needs to be done to fit the tyres weather it's stock/lower/lifted. the wheel still travels the same amount 🤷♀️the only way to fit bigger tyres is to cut guards/ limit travel/ change wheel position (wheel alignment) lift has nothing to do with fitting tyres.
Hey Ronny, You can actually buy a storage unit for the tailgate that a company called hurricane fabrication make, you could put recovery gear and other things in there
Its also a Toyota Hilux, from prev vids where it was in shot and other social media posts, I can see that its basically a stock Hilux, pretty much at the same modification level as Ronny's Hilux now (stock plus AT tyres). Although I love this channel, been following since its inception and I am also from Perth, and love a nice modified 4wd myself, I often think about the action and adventure captured with their modded 70 Series LC's and all the fruit on them etc, but yet the camera crew drive around in a stock Hilux and go all the places they do, so while it's not as cool and doesn't attract the audience, do we really need all that extra stuff? I bet the camera crew Hilux costs less to maintain, less fuel, cruises better on the long hauls than their LC's, of course wouldn't do the harder tracks as easily but it obviously still makes it (maybe with some winch/snatch strap help perhaps) and gets the job done.
I think it is more a chalange and fun to go off road with your daily driver. There are always limitations also for the LC V8. Here in europe you are not allowed to do all kind of mods to your car. The only mistake you made Ronny is not buying a VW Amarok V6. Greetings from Netherlands.
