I'm damn near 50 now. I have done a lot of things in my life. Not very often I see a job that impresses me much anymore. This is one hell of a gig. Congrats to all you have done to get to where you are. Oh and to counter a point I see below. There is a whole lot of value in silence... IE not talking. The radio chatter is all a person needs to hear to know what is being done. Their eyes are all that is needed to see how you execute the input to get the desired output. The music in the cabin, the acoustic qualities of the cabin. That is what it sounds like, that is the job, the environment. Far to many people want this finely curated distraction pumped into their brain... Zen is being in the moment.. not trying to make the moment fit them.
I was in the Coast Guard, stationed at Governors Island and interacted a bunch with the tug operators, and all of them were old types. If I had seen one guy your age, I might’ve gone this way. Really cool, and thanks for posting.
Nice video. I have stood on a bridge many times in the past as tugs did their job. I would really like you to make a video to explain the power plant and how you manoeuvre one of these tugs. They are so different to standard vessels.
I watch some random stuff, can't beat this though... Sunshine and water, sweet tunes and the hum of the engine, staring out the front of your starship looking bridge. Can even listen to this without watching.
I love it when he picks a spot and keeps on it. Watch something inside like one of the wiper bits and compare it to where it stays in relation to the ship.
Great video. Love to hear brief explanations of what's going on, but not too much. I felt like i got to pull up a chair and join you. Really enjoyed it.
Love the music choice! Being a younger guy and the top dog i can only imagine how hard you have worked over the years to achieve that position. I am a equipment operator and the controls and engine compartment seem so interesting to me. If you ever get a chance that would be cool to see how the controls work and what size engine and all that stuff.
Thanks for sharing your office with us! I would never have seen something like this had I not come upon your video! How did you end up in your position? Was your family in maritime growing up? Looks like an interesting job! Thanks again!
Such a cool angle to watch this finesse! But hey, a headset mic with a PTT on one of the helm controls would seem to be a major improvement to a swinging CB mic from "Convoy"?? OVER
Mad respect for the work you do. It’s very interesting how tugs work. I wish you had more camera angles to show the process. A couple of GoPros outside would make for some good angles
Holy shit, that is THE nicest, cleanest, newest tug ive ever seen. I thought they came out of the factory banged up and rusty lol
😂🤣😂 Thank you Sir!

Thank you so much!! You get it!! I truly appreciate your words and taking the time to write them!! 🫡
Tell me about what youve done and learned in those 50 years old wise man
I like the view of the inside of your boat, its what I'd imagine a spaceship cockpit to look like
There's two awesome soundtracks happening here, the music and the sound of the motor. Sweet tunes.
Exactly! Awesome to watch this man work, but I want his playlist!
pass thee herb ....pass thee herb...
The 1-3 beat of the Reggae music in the background is very good for the nerves needed for this job.
that tug is insane, its like a space ship.
Big up on the chill reggae/dub 🇯🇲! Bless up and keep safe chief!
Wow your tug is like a starship. I have fond feeling for tugboats they saved us on a terrible storm crossing from France to uk. Thumbs up.
This pilot is a true craftsman. Anytime one can make a difficult job look easy is a true master. 👍👍
oh no
its not rocket science,
My absolute dream job. Greeting from Switzerland.
Hey now! Greetings from NYC! Thanks for watching 🤙
I didn't really know what I started watching and at 00:22 I was like: Holy Mackerels! Is that a green sky and a pink sea at sunset??
Exactly what i thought hahah or it wqs a filter screen over the windows
OMG me too!!! D'oh 🙄
That power from that/ those engine/s is immense. It is nice to see the perspective from the tug, beautiful work.

Thank you for your service Sir 🫡
The USCG used to visit my school on Governors Island pretty often, we had a maritime program operating vessels and scuba diving right off the pier!
From an(Ex) Mariner to another, mighty fine shiphandling my friend. Take a bow.
Thank you sir! Much appreciated 🫡
The bow. I see what you did there.
A bulbous bow
oh my god this is some cool stuff right there, i LOVE tugboats! it would be nice if there were multiple camera angles of your tugboat doing its thing.
I’ll do my best! Thanks for watching!
I love that🤔 stick figure playlist and boating all day:) sign me up!
Nice video. I have stood on a bridge many times in the past as tugs did their job. I would really like you to make a video to explain the power plant and how you manoeuvre one of these tugs. They are so different to standard vessels.
I’m a push boat pilot. Always impressed by y’all’s boats and what y’all do.
Love videos like this great work . Not many videos of tugs moving ships from the cab .
Much appreciated 🤙
One i love tugs, and two , i just love the sound of big marine diesels, fn awesome
Same!!
I watch some random stuff, can't beat this though... Sunshine and water, sweet tunes and the hum of the engine, staring out the front of your starship looking bridge. Can even listen to this without watching.
Awesome Job 👍Little but very powerful 🚢 💪
This is so much fun to watch and also super relaxing. When the
Channel grows more it would be cool to see a 360 camera outside.
I’m an equipment operator and it always fascinates me to watch someone doing something completely different but still mechanical. Great video!!
Thanks for watching!
Actually I was on the bridge at that time. It’s quite a special experience to see our ship from this angle thanks for the video
Dont know how i come here, but ... impressive. Thats a Spaceship man
I like your playlist 😂 Good vibes…
That's one cool pilot house..thanks for sharing man. 👍👍👍
That was fascinating. The talent needed is just incredible. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, what a fun video! That is a sweet boat.
I am blown away! Driving such giant ships!
I enjoyed that more then I thought, great video :)
I love it when he picks a spot and keeps on it. Watch something inside like one of the wiper bits and compare it to where it stays in relation to the ship.
Wow your tug is like a starship
🖖
What a cool profession. Great video!
I see where inspiration for some of these spaceship cockpits come from.
Great to find, more piloting to understand. Love it! It would be fantastic to have concurrent drone footage.
I had no idea how cool these tugboats are. Very impressive.
From the port of Hampton Roads Norfolk VA I see this often and my hats off to you my man fine job 😎👍🏾
Great video. Love to hear brief explanations of what's going on, but not too much. I felt like i got to pull up a chair and join you. Really enjoyed it.
this is amazing what a job cant wait to see more
God that's such a beautiful fuggin' wheelhouse. It's like you're flying a space ship! Subbed!
Wow, fascinating stuff. Never been on board a tug before and now I have thanks to you! Cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Worked for McAllister and Moran as a mate back in the Local 333 days. Good memories
I have had the opportunity of going on pilot boats and tag along with pilots and watch them at work. You guys on the tugs ROCK !! Love the vid
I like the design of that bridge and I like the tunes!!!
As a boat owner for a few years and one of my primary goals is not to run into another boat, it is really cool watching someone do it on purpose.
Slighty stoopid! Love the music
Love your work love your life. Keep it up bro
This looks like a spaceship cockpit. I love it
unless im mistaken this is the interior of a tugboat. such cool "little boats" so much fun watching them zip around
Now *that* is a helm station. Very, very cool.
Fantastic..... I always thought being a Tug Captain would be an exciting job!! Mike.
Thanks Mike!!
trouble is your told what to do all the time.
@@brian.7966be kinda pointless if you just went out pushing stuff around of your own accord
@@gazrayt😂
@@brian.7966do you really want to freelance tugging a 100 bil ship
Very Cool, good job.
Алексей, спасибо за профессионализм.

Enjoyed the seeing things from your perspective. If allowed, you might want to consider a lapel microphone.

Always great to find another Stick Figure enjoyer😀
I’m more of a Chet Hanks fan myself
First time on your channel. Cool video and thanks for sharing. New subscriber. Hopefully, I'll find a video about your tug.
Awesome!
Smooth Docking and sailing, hell of a lot better than old singel screw boats and twin screw tugs !
What a great "office" view!
Fantastic video
Great Vid Loved it !!
cracking footage.. i love tug boats i am currently studying to try and become a tug skipper myself will. Take care, i will see you on the next watch.
Thank you sir! Enjoy the journey 🫡
Looks like that would be a cool job.
That swinging radio in front of my face all the time would make me crazy.
Keep at it fellas!! Blue collar life !💪
Have to say you have skills to do that job with schotelles would much rather have the power of voith behind me so well done captain
skills! good stuff!
Nice bridge
Very Cool
Mad respect for the work you do. It’s very interesting how tugs work. I wish you had more camera angles to show the process. A couple of GoPros outside would make for some good angles
good job and nice soundtrack!
Love your video!👌🏻😃 And really love the sound of your engines! What type of engines are they? Beautiful 🤩
I was so confused the first 3 min - I thought I was looking at the horizon, not the paint job on a larger ship lol
I don't blame the tug driver for lowering the blinds. That sun was getting a bit Reggie Dwight!!!!
