I wish they thought this shit in school. We all deserve to know about our bodies. I didn't even know where cervix is located
@Henrik Jamison if u don't trust your gf and you're hacking her PWs, your relationship is doomed. Trust means everything.
Are you realyl that stupid?
Same 😭
I am getting really astonished by the amount of people in these comments that where not taught this in school.
*taught
I’m 17 and only now learning about my anatomy. I wish I was taught this stuff sooner
I'm twenty years older than you, and, same
Fr Im the only girl in my family so it’s very taboo
Believe you me, at 17 you are ahead of many of us. I'm 32 going on 33 and found this video very helpful
Girl its so good ur learning at 17. I'm 22 and just learning
Don't worry my dear: I'm 36 and Internet didn't provide this type of info when I was your age!
I am so glad you can NOW... and me too! 🤣👍
I was sitting here like a child slightly surprised and excited because I felt it lol🤦🏽♀️😂 l.. Thank You😄
I’m 23 and just now being able to understand my anatomy. I really appreciate this video. I had no idea the cervix moved, let alone that I could feel it. Sex education has really failed women anatomy. Thanks for this informative video! ❤️ I feel empowered
Who else is scared to put there finger up there... just me... ok
*edit* y’all I figured it’s out 4 months later, and I can say, don’t be scared of it, I started using tampons now and eventually I might try the cup
i badly want to try it but the thought of putting something in scares me. i know that the space down there can stretch for a freaking baby but having no experience at all in all my years of living this has gotten me curious and afraid. what if fingering would help?? but idk how to 😭 i honestly just want to switch
TODAY I JUST STUCK MY POINTING FINGER IN IT DIDNT HURT AND I DIDNT FEEL ANYTHING HARD EVERYTHING WAS MUSHY AND MUSCLE-Y I DONT KNOW IF I HAVE A HIGH CERVIX OR MY FINGER IS JUST TOO SHORT OMG HAHAHAHA
@@balzzuuyy I HATE doing it as well, it's kinda freaky, but use your middle finger. If you still can't feel anything, you probably just have a high cervix. Also keep in mind that in can change heights during your cycle! I didn't know that until recently, and that could mean you have to use 2 different size cups xP
@@DezziWezzi i only bought a small one for testing what size i do really need. ohh i'll try it but with middle finger okay thank you so much :3
@@DezziWezzi UPDATE i used my middle finger like u said, crouched down and i felt something was that it? also i figured i have a tilted cervix bc its far on my left and not just directly from my vulva. i've had my period this month, ended last week and i couldnt feel anything *using my pointing finger* i measure during the first day and the last day. now its been a week and i felt it using my middle finger ahhh still dont like it when i stick it in
Thank you for normalizing talk about our bodies! Very useful information, very clearly and friendly explained. Just placed my order after taking the quiz :)
These have been so helpful omg I’ve been so mad that Idk a lot about my body (specifically the vulva/vagina area) and these honestly have made exploring and figuring things out so much better
I've been recently considering purchasing a menstrual cup but was tentative as I don't use tampons, so it feels like quite a leap! This video has informed me and made me feel a bit more confident about using a cup. Now I'm going to do the quiz on the website :)
Laura same!
Same tho! I think I'm going to get my first soon...and I'm very nervous lol. YOLO I guess 😂
@@heidib2868 I did the quiz and bought the one it reccomended, I'd never go back! After a couple of tries I had the hang of it haven't had any issues 👍🏻
Thank you for posting these videos. You two make the conversation easy to follow and relaxed.

I’m so glad I watched this. I always thought I had a high cervix until I watched this and learned I’m supposed to measure near or in my period. I measured again today on my period and it’s much lower than usual. Now I’m off to shop for my first cup!
how does your cervix feels? is it rounded with a hole?
@@iyamglq yes
Iya Maglaqui yes. It’s kinda hard but not. Like your nose. I guess firm would be the right word.
The excitement is real. I can feel u.. yah yahh😁🤓
@@RealMexFoodShouldntGiveUDrrhea Like how your nostrils feels when you touch 'em?
thank you girls for talking in details about things no-one does! love ya
Where has this channel been all mg life?!? So grateful for this content! Thank you!!!
I’ve been wanting to try a cup so bad with all the different designs and brands I was so confused and then I took your quiz it talked about knowing your cervix I didn’t know where mine was and I wanted to know just to know my body better ! I found it tonight thanks to video and I’m so so proud of myself for taking this step in knowing more about my body I’m 22 and I was never taught this ! So thank you so much ! ❤
I love how we’re all sticking our fingers up ourselves 😂😂 thank you for making these videos!!
😭😭😭😭😭😭u dropped this 👑
You will have much more pleasure if you get your boyfriend to do it for you
@@paullee5573 bro...ew.
So I'm so glad I found this video. was just checking things out and freaked the heck out. Even though I measured before I guess I only felt the tip of my cervix. I'm on my period now but at the middle which for me means a day or 2 with little to no flow. Now I know my cervix was lower. At first I thought maybe something was wrong but I've never checked during the middle of my period before. Thanks for the videos
That was so clear ! Thank you girls !
I've only ever used pads on my periods, but find them annoying and uncomfortable. The packaging is so loud, I use so many (although it's a normal amount), and I think they are sooooo itchy. I would like to use a menstrual cup to reduce waste and become more comfortable. Seeing as I have only used pads, I have no experience "sticking things up my vagina" for a lack of a better term. Do you have any tips on becoming comfortable using a cup (I already know how to find my size and brand to use)?
It's a learning process, but one of the things I like to tell people to do is try inserting and removing the cup when you aren't on your period. If you're at a dryer time of the month you can use some silicone safe lubricant. While your cervix and vagina might be a bit different while you're on your period, you won't have to deal with the blood and stress of making sure it's perfect. For me, it was a good way to become comfortable with it without added pressure.
It's also good to have back up like a panty liner. I use a combo of a cup and cloth pads because I can't always get the cup right. Cloth pads are another great way to get away from the itchiness of disposable pads.
Have you ever considered cloth pads? They are not disgusting at all,I've made the switch 9 months ago and I wish I have known about them earlier! Best decision ever! But I do want a cup for when I go swimming
Also if you are more comfortable with something like pads, a good brand is Thinx. They make underwear that is safe to use when you are on your period. I've used it and would recommend having it in combo or either one by themselves. Options :)
I would highly suggest getting really comfortable with inserting your fingers first so kind of know what to expect before working with a foreign object-- of any type ahem if you know what I mean. Trim your nails, its not really a big problem but its one less thing that could cause discomfort. First time I suggest giving yourselves plenty of time, get a mirror and try different positions and angles before giving up (using your fingers really helps here as far as knowing what angles work best). And if its just not working don't beat yourself up. For me I was too gentle and didn't trust the stretchiness enough until I was a little older.
Is their anyway we can purchase one of those clear female anatomy models? If so, where? It would be very useful in teaching young girls.

Thank you thank you this is a huge help to me I never knew any of this. I've had periods for almost 2 decades now. UA-cam is a blessing when doing research.

Thank you so much for this incredibly informative video. I have been using discs and have had to use pads on my heaviest days. I can better look for an alternative. You are awesome!
This was so helpful I could cry 😍
SO GLAD! That makes our day. -K
Bro I’ve been freaking out thinking I had a weird bump in my for a while just to find out it’s my cervix
Lol likewise
This was a very informative video. The illustrations were great
finding your cervix sounds so easy but I apparently have short arms or am just not flexible enough. I can just barely reach in and when I do, im still not completely certain it is my cervix lol
Haha..why is this so relatable🤣
Oh tell me about it. I could barely push my cup in there without hurting my arm. It was so frustrating 😕
My only problem is that the hole just isn’t big enough. Like I can barely get two fingers in, and that’s uncomfortable. I have no idea how to get an entire CUP in there. And reaching it is hard, too. Barely able to contort my hand to even bend that way.
same 😂
Thank you girls! You help me a lot!
Some advice, don’t do this with acrylics. I was searching for my cervix today but i couldn’t feel it so I tried putting my finger up farther and i did find it but hurt my cervix with my nails. 😭
ouch
I want to try my finger
😂😂😂😂
Andy Joseph Omandam ummm this wasn’t needed......
Use gloves. 🤣
I was not aware that the cervix shifted based on cycle. Even though I'm a guy i feel like these things need to be taught so much more. Thank you!
I’m pregnant so I’ve had to become very familiar with the cervix (I keep hearing about my cervix dilation and how the nurses are going to be checking with their fingers all the time during labor!)....now maybe after the baby comes I’ll actually use a menstrual cup bc now I’m a bit more easygoing about my cervix, lol
PS I didn’t realize this video was about menstrual cups when I clicked...I thought it was more pregnancy content lol!
I can't thank you enough for this video. I'm 27 years old trying to find my cervix 😂 planning to switch to menstrual cups. Wish me luck 🤞
Omg thx I thought I had a high one but I just didn’t know what to feel for now I just need to see such one to buy I don’t like wasting money or making trash
Thank u sooooo much guys thiss was soo useful 💯💯💖
Thank you for that video, really helps me 💜
This was really helpful! Thank you :D
I finally found it!!! I was so excited in the toilet lol
This is great information. I will measure myself on my next period because I fear my cup may not fit. And that may be why I leak
namdar da do
I learn a lot from these videos
Oh I love your videos 🥰🙏💜
I'm 42, wow, this is a most important video I ever seen, thanks sisters
I’m 37; feels weird learning about this at my age lol
omg thank you so much for this video! I am thinking of using a cup because I HATE pads for many reasons and I have never known there were different types of cervix. I am kinda uncomfortable about having to stick my finger though but I guess if I wanna use one I would need to measure it one way or another :D
this should be mandatory to learn in schools though I'm lucky that I used to go to a boarding school so I and my friends have normalized talking about the girls body but we still have so much to learn!
oh my god the other day i felt it and was so scared i thought i was dying because iv never felt it before but im pmsing so it makes sense it’s shorter right now ily thx
Did it hurt?
How did you feel it?
This is really beautiful
Going to help a lot
Fantastic video! Thanks so much.
Thanks for these videos...from cebu, philippines
Learning about this stuff makes me so queasy but I’m sticking through it because I NEED to know if a cup is for me. The thought of measuring it makes me a little sick to my stomach, but I want to use one because it’s better in every single way. Wish me luck y’all
I'm learning more from youtube and reddit than I ever did in school xD
I felt so guilty about hurting the environment with pads, so I'm changing to cups! :D

Doesn't silicone take longer to degrade than pads?
@@saltycat662 But you're also using far less in comparison to disposable pads.
Plus this silicon is not that toxic
One of those wishing we learned this in school. Because of anatomy and all. My period tracker mentioned firmness of the cervix, or if there was mucus or opening. And I was like... huh? How do you know. Behold google search. I'm 41 and I had no idea my body was like the model. Usually it's at the top, more upwards the canal. Only it's not? Cue the confusion. Best way for me is sitting, like a toilet. Mine is to the left, I do have endo. But stuff like this is so helpful to us. So thanks again.
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO bless you

The Uterus model is so cute, it even has a face and sound XD
as a male, i found this guide, very educational, and very helpful!!!
How is this helpful for a male tho?
You look like a female
@@mamamia8733 I agree with him. I didn't know the cervix drops down a little during the woman's menstrual cycle.
Thank you for the information! This is great! I do not think that they teach enough females about their anatomy!
I’m a goddamn med student just now hearing this info about measuring your cervix, this is fascinating thank you
Thank you!
Great anatomy model (the first one on the video). Where did you get it?
This is a great video. I did a small questionnaire on intimina page that helped me a lot in choosing the right cup. But this is really useful as well.
You are legends!!!!!
Ooooo - question!! Where do you get all your amazing models from?! Makes your anatomy lessons so clear!
Thank you! They are medical models that were gifted to us by a friend with a connection
Thank you.
Thank you for this video. My cervix is frustratingly high and cups migrate up to a point that I can't reach them for removal. I measured on my period and my cervix was 4" high and have also been told similar info by my gyno as they have to use a long speculum to see my cervix.
😂😂 so you really had tried to measured using your fingers heheh its weird for us as a men but i admit that its so interesting to we have find out not only to we figure out it or to educate and be aware about to our body system but also if ever you had your experience in sex to we determine how measure do you need in cock heheh
Ok so this definitely helped me, I was thinking I found it but didn’t know for sure. I’m checking mine for ovulation purposes but wasn’t 💯sure I ever ever found it. I have so much to learn about my body. 😅
Yeah the first papsmear I had the lady had to turn the speculum upside down to see my cervix. It was bad.
Hi!
So I actually started using the Organicup even before I found your channel.
The first time I used it, it worked like a dream.
No leaks, wasn’t uncomfortable or anything but somehow every period since then, it leaks and might not open fully.
I took your quiz in which cup to get and it told me the Lily Cup.
I’ve been looking it up but I can’t seem to find any info on if Intimina is cruelty free.
Do u know if they are or what would u suggest as the next best cup?
Hi there! I saw this on watching a UA-cam review that was sponsored by intimina:
For those of you concerned about whether or not the Lily Cup is cruelty free, here is the brand's official response:
"Thank you for reaching out! Intimina does not test on animals. Our products are made of the highest quality medical grade silicone and body-safe materials, and are tested for safety using the highest standards and completely vegan, non-animal testing methods. In all of our supplier agreements we also state our opposition to animal testing. Their agreement to this requirement is a condition of us working with them. All of our washes and moisturizers are also completely vegan, they do not contain any animal byproducts and are not tested on animals. As far as we are aware we do not currently market to countries where animal testing is required by law."
So helpful
I have a tilted cervix or retroverted uterus... which cup do you recommend? The one I use always leaks. Thank you!
21 yo, and last week I just discovered mentrual cups and now I am trying to explore my body.
I never been so excited and wait for my period to come.
Same
It comes small medium and large sizes. Mostly medium is comfortable.
what if someone has small fingers (like me) and everything down there is normal but because of your fingers it seems higher? Just a random thought.
Thank you!!
Great video..I still hate cups seeing as I've just never been able to get them in comfortably and when I do it just feels bad I..can't really sit or anything..I know I have the right size and I've tried trimming to just cutting off the stem part but no luck it still just feels offal. -_-
So I guess I'm a disc user it's just more conferrable and way easier for me to put in/mostly works no matter where ur cervix is ^_^..now I just need to try that other reusable disc out b/c the ziggy disc/"cup" is good but not as good as the 1 day or 1 cycle discs..yes I know those r a nasty Carrie bad mess for most pp but I've just learned cup or disc it's going to be a mess..also it helps to remember that kittens and rainbows don't come out of that end of u lol.
The video still really helps u get to know ur cervix a lot better so yay and I think the model is pretty cute. ^_^
I'm sorry but I just don't read or reply to anyone seeing as I have less drama that way yay.
Shanara S maybe you should try different brands.
This is so good and informative. I think I have a high cervix, first day of my period and I can't find it, mine is like a big never ending cave 😂
It would have been helpful if you had explained how the lenght to the cervix actually then translates to choosing a cup. Like for example the cup shouldn't be longer than 80% of your measured space or whatever. Bc the quiz on the page still uses the useless knuckle test.
They also have a page on their site that has pretty much every cup known to man and the measurements of them all, you'd want to use 100% of your measured space, unless you couldn't reach it, then likely the longest ones
If anyone finds this comment please help me out here
I tried to locate the cervix but all i felt was muscle like tissue and soft ridges and it was really low like only a knuckle in. I couldn't feel a pointy head or anything,
Same😭😭I’m so confused
Awesome video! May I ask where did you get that model?!?
*"HELLLOOOOO"* 😭😂💀
Great video!! Question, How do you know when to put the cup in if your period isn’t always on “time”?
I would just wait for your period as normal as soon as you see blood, put it in :)
very helpful - thanks for the video! :)
Every time I check on my period, I was so confused to find out what was this sort of tiny round around my private part. I'm using a menstrual cup by the way, so yeah, I'm testing that area and now I know that was my cervix
I don't know if this will help anyone. I tried standing up but I felt like I was digging for a lost treasure never to be found. Well I then say down and felt something was like oh I think I found it! While still touching my cervix I stood up and measured.
What about the day after my period will it still be lower down ?
Do you have a quiz for menstral Discs? I'm wanting to try both a Menstral cup and a disc
Question - I’m trying to use a ziggy disc, I’m finding it hard to tell if it’s in bc it doesn’t have the cup, pointy shape that makes it easier for the typical cups. I can’t tell if it’s in correctly! Can you please do a video on that???? 😬
When you bought the cup but you haven't watched this? Goodness. I am still confuse how to find that stuff hahaha. Thanks for the guide tho
Same boat😂😂😂
ikrrr i bought one today in a small size just assuming i have a lower one since i’ve never done anything down there but then realized i need to actually be sure lol and am now worried that the one i bought won’t fit
Please respond to this! For reference, I'm about 20 and I've never given birth or been pregnant or anything like that. I've been watching some of your videos lately and decided to try to find my cervix after watching this one...I don't think I found it but I am on the last day of my period so maybe that makes a difference? Anyway...right now I typically alternate between tampons and pads but I've been seriously considering making the switch to cups (cuz pads feel like diapers and I go through tampons too fast). When I use tampons, I use super which fits comfortably and I can push the tampon all the way in until I touch...something. Is that the cervix? I would love it if you responded...I just really want to understand my body better.
This is so helpful wtf
Visine should market a menstrual cup..you know, to help get "the red" out. :)
what are the measurements for a lower, average and high cervix?
What position should I be in when checking my cervix length. It's super short when sitting and much higher when standing
I measured my cervix and bought the Lily cup compact and it is a perfect match for my vagina :) Thank you for this video which helped me choose the right cup
Cervix height varies during the cycle (pretty sure I’m not alone in that!) - should we go for the average height when using the chart/quiz? Or maybe the lowest? 🤷🏻♀️
Wherever it tends to be when you're on your period since that's when you'll be wearing it
supernova622 thanks - that makes sense!
If your cervix moves around a bit during your period, go with the lowest measurement bc you don’t want the cup to be too long for your lower cervix days.
Should the menstrual cup be pushing against the cervix? When I wear my cup it catches all the fluid and I don’t leak, but I get an achy pain and I think it’s because it’s too long.
While measuring cervix length to decide for cup one need to take measurement in standing or squat position in which we wear cup kindly guide
it doesn't matter if you're squatting or standing, the cervix height should be the same
This is my first time trying, and thank you for your videos. The stem is so painfully stabbing me. I tried trimming it, but it wasn't helpful. What do you do about the stem? I couldn't stand it for more than 10 min and now I'm in a dull aching pain (giving up for the day).
All advice very welcome. Thank you!
I would buy a smaller cup! Oranicup has a mini size, I use it and recommend!
@@mercedeshunt7648 I will try that. thank you!
I can wear perfectly fine with normal size organicup but when I want to try a new disc, it’s very hard for me to understand my body. I never measure my cervix before and I think I still can’t find it which from this vid I think I have high cervix😂 will update again when the period comes. Thank you so much❤
oh okay thanks
They should make something that squeezes around it and small hose attached to syphon it all away and keep clean
I highly recommend measuring your cervix before buying a cup.
I bought an average size cup and damn succeeded in my first try but it always used to leak, even when fully opened and not even filled to half of its potential. Also, it used to travel waaayy into my vagina, usually had to insert my fingers really deep to remove it, sometimes was shit scared when I didn't feel the tip.
Turns out I had a high cervix.
So I gotta buy a new one I guess
Agh.
What kind of pain do other people feel? I'm scared, but I wanna try it so bad. My period is very clotty and have to change pads every 1hr, never inserted anything in there before. I got my duo saalt cups yesterday and I didn't expect the rim to be so thick and big, scaring me more lol
I’m not really experienced in tampons. I usually use pads. But I’ve been researching and considering switching to a mensural cup for a while now. I tried measuring my cervix today. I got mixed results. The first time I tried I hit something that stopped me from going any further pretty quick, low cervix. The next time I tried from a slightly different angle and my fingers went much deeper, high cervix. Did I hit it the first time and go past/to the side of it the second time, or did I poke something that’s not cervix the first time (because I wasn’t doing it quite right) and accurately measure the second time? Basically, is it possible to go past/miss your cervix? What’s the lowest a cervix can be? And lastly, should I switch to tampons for a couple months and get use to that before investing in a mensural cup?
I switched to a menstrual cup after only using pads for abt 6 years so I don’t think you need to use tampons for a while before switching to a cup. If you’re wanting to get used to inserting/taking out something from down there, you can practice with the menstrual cup even when you’re not on your period (probably use a bit of lube tho cuz it might be a bit a dry down there making it difficult for u to insert it).
I’ve given birth, but I’m VERY sensitive down there. I chose a larger softer cup, but I’m having trouble figuring out what’s what in my own body to measure n such. Any tips
I'm a little bit confused. When I put my finger in, does it have to touch the hole for the measurement to count or is it the part of the cervix that's closest to the opening that counts? I'm asking cause mine is a bit tilted forward so the edge of it is closer to the opening than the hole.
I really want to try using a menstrual cup, I tried finding my curving and I couldn’t feel anything. Also is it supposed to hurt when I try and find it?
