I just don't get the diagrams being used - if we're measuring our own
cervical height, wouldn't our hands be cupping down over our pubic bone

indicative of someone else feeling for the cervix. With that in mind,

This is great. I use the diva on my lighter days when my cervix is high and my Lena when its a bit lower. I can use the diva whenever but its a little more comfortable on my lighter days

How would I know if I have a tilted or retroflexed uterus?
Krista Parker I was told during a yearly pelvic exam. A lot of women with a tilted/flexed uterus have problems with chronic constipation (no matter how much fiber you take), painful menses, heavy menses, and pain during sex from internal stimulation, so if that seems applicable you could ask your gp or gynecologist.
I did not know that about constipaition, that makes sense for me.
I was told during a pap.

I think standing with a leg propped is best for me - sitting second. I think the only way that isn't good is squatting because it's pushing everything down and I'm not sure you'll get the best measurement that way.

This was helpful! I also appreciate the chart, its making my cup decision easier. I'm leaning towards a medium cup or if possible try to get a twin pack where I can get both small and large cups since flow amounts vary by each day. So Lena/ Lynette/Ruby cups are on my list.

I have just purchased the Diva cup. It was the easiest cup for me to get in store . according to this video I would say the height of my cervix Is average. Do you think I will still be able to use the diva cup ?
Mine goes from average to a bit low and I can still us it with the stem entirely removed. I won't say that it's my perfect cup, but I can still use it. That may or may not be your experience but it's worth a shot since you already have it. If you find that it's still too long you can try flipping it inside out. -A

During foreplay there were times when I easily found her cervix with one finger, and she enjoyed my stimulating her cervix during manual foreplay. it won't fall out, just make sure you don't leave it in for close to 12 hours or more because by then it will probably overflow - just empty it our regularly and you'll be fine!

Angelica Preston I know you asked a while ago, but my fingers are under 2.5 inches long and I can feel my cervix 0.5 to 1.5 inches in almost any day of the month. I’d say yours is definitely high.

I also have a tilted cervix. I use an average sized cup and place it so that the rim is around my cervix - making sure that it can’t accidentally get to the side of it. That may help.

Would sitting position work fine? I am still not sure about these. I tried putting one of my fingers on its maximum length but I don't think I ever touched anything on the edge. Like there's still a lot of empty space I can't reach, maybe less than 1 cm, but if you're talking about something that feels like the tip of nose, I do feel that kind of surface, but on the front part?
You can try squatting to see if they helps. It should feel like the tip of the nose- if your cervix is tilted that may be what you're feeling.

I have a low lying cervix and the Diva cup works well for me. My cervix lies just inside the rim of the cup. I did however need to trim the stem a bit.

Hi! What do u recommended for me? I have a high cervix and I tried using the diva cup 2 because I'm 30 but never had a child. But when I tried to removed I couldn't at all maybe because i do have a belly so it was hard for me to reach but i couldn't get a could grasp on it so I ended up having have my sister help me remove it. Muffin Lames well first I can't help you to know how it's tilted but I will say unless your about to give birth you can't go inside your cervix since your cervix is most of the time closed, I find it easier to measure on the toilet because at least for me I can't touch it, but I think that's because mine is kind of high. The cervix feels kind of like what the video says which is the tip of your nose with a dent in it. I would suggest for the Lunette cup because it is great for beginners, but you can always take the quiz on finding a good cup for instead because I find it to be very accurate.

Why do you say for your cervix to sit 'safely' outside the cup-what are the risks? - I have this problem, I think I have an average height cervix but my muscles push the cup up and create suction around the cup which is so difficult to break. I've tried different cups - going to try again today and see if this changes, but it has been the case for me everytime that maybe they're not for me
I ain't sticking my fingers up there. Could I use a tampon instead and note how far it will go in? Oh wait, those hurt like hell too. Does extreme pain when putting in a tampon give any indication as to how high or low the cervix is?
Tampons can be painful for some (dry and scratchy... and all that fun stuff) but it's not an indicator of cervix height as it could slide past the cervix -- which wouldn't be helpful in knowing where yours sits
If putting a tampon inside yourself hurts, that might show you have vaginismus or something like that (Google it for more info.) I would ask your doctor about it because you shouldn't have to suffer with pain.

Just measure the finger you use against an actual tape measure/ruler and look up cups by their lengths to see what would fit. Keep in mind you want all of the cup inside inner lips without sticking out so measure that way and then look for cups below that number. You could definitely use a toy and measure what comfortably fit inside. Keep in mind you want to measure to where everything is inside and not to the opening, anything at the opening of you vagina or beyond would be uncomfortable. Many women must have a cervix very deep because my middle finger is 4 inches and I have never been able to feel a cervix when inserting my finger all the way in, but it must be a couple of inches deeper than that on average because I am just under 8 inch in penis length and I usually can feel a difference when I'm almost all the way in, there's definitely a different sensation around the head
The vagina lengthens when aroused - up to 200%. The cervix and uterus actually move up to accommodate for sex. It's kind of crazy but cool.

Dont worry Theres no way that you can feel Past The cervix, since it's located at the very end of the vaginal canal, what your looking to feel for is essentially the entrance to the cervix. So all the way back there, Remember that Nothing can enter the cervix since its closed off ( that's the organ that carries babies). It should feel like the tip of your nose, The Cup should be placed at the very surface of the cervix. Just in place to catch the menstrual flow, I suggest that you take a look at the anatomy of the vagina/cervix aka uterus. You should be able to picture what it is that you're feeling for..you might be at 'high to Average'. I hope this helps best of luck¤°•*°¤°*•
Are you sure a diva cup would work for a high cervix? They say on their websites most women who have a low cervix find it works well for them. It doesn't really mention that it's for a high cervix.
Yes. The Diva Cup is a good cup but is definitely one of the longest cups o the market (even with the stem removed). If the cervix is unreachable, another good option is the Lily Cup. It is the longest one we are aware of currently.

I did your quiz before i bought a cup.. but i feel like maybe i bought a wrong one.
I measured my cervix's height, and its 46 mm(my cup is 55). So i have a few very scary problems(maybe because im very new to this and i still didn't get it):
1. Its really really hard to put it in. The cup is firmer then i thought.
2. When its already inside i feel like it doesn't have enough space to pop. I try to move it a lot but in the meantime nothing works.

There has only been one time in where my cup has been perfectly inserted; it popped and everything but that was because the first time I used the cup, it REALLY hurt my vaginal muscles, so when I attempted again (assuming) I was looser than I normally would be.

ive located my cervix its a medium height but im having serious leaking problems for the 3rd cycle now. i think it may be a positioning problem. can you tell if the cervix isnt covered by the cup, some suggests it should be around your cervix rather than suctioned to your vaginal wall but it should also sit low? the problem well may be my cervix but im having trouble fixiing the problem and hate using pads to clean up the flow which nearly half spills out even when fully open.
For leaking that is heavy it's usually due to the cup not being sealed completely. If you are certain it is there is a very small chance you can pushed the cup behind the cervix (if you have a tilted cervix this can happen) but again, it's not common and not easy to do.
If you aren't yet doing so try feeling completely around the cup at the rim to see if it's suctioning to the vaginal walls.
If you have a super low cervix you can wear the cup with the end dipping slightly into the cup. NOT a good idea if you have an IUD since this could dislodge it. Using a cup can have a huge learning curve so keep experimenting. Trying a few different folds and inserting while you are in a different position (leg up, squatting low, etc) can also help too. -K

Not necessarily. You have a low cervix but a shorter cup with a wider diameter can work. A narrow diameter may bump up against the cervix, rather than go around it, which won't help or be comfortable. It's okay for the cervix to sit inside of the cup a bit. I am 28 and haven't had children, but I have gone off my birth control in the last year and have noticed changes in how my cervix sits now, bcuz certain sexual positions are not comfortable now, where as they used to be. Can I still use a cup?
You should be able to. Just be sure to check your cervical position when your period starts or just before when it's at its lowest. That'll help you be sure not to get a cup that's too long.

Your vagina expands when you're aroused, so your cervix would probably be higher to allow for a penis/whatever else in that situation

I have an average height cervix as per this video and I have purchase a lunette cup. The very first time I used it on the first day of my cycle, I was fine, no issues felt like how it does when I use a tampon. Then the next 2 days I had a crampy full sort of feeling. What is going wrong here?
It could be that it wasn't inserted properly. I would try adjusting placement. If you find that it continues it is possible that you're a bit sensitive and could benefit from a cup that's softer than the Lunette (which is fairly firm).
