I like the quilts that are meant to be used and made from old clothes. But I also like the geometric ones on quilt book covers lol. I guess I'm trying to say it should have character, like a house should look lived in and homey, not pristine like a museum

I love going back to your videos at different times. Sometimes I just need the positive attitude adjustment! Yesterday I was working on a scrap quilt from a sewing class I took. I do a lot lot lot of scrap quilts and usually make up my own patterns based on what I have and how I feel, but this class was a challenge - what is the thing I find most difficult - work on that. So I took all the scraps that I keep not picking when making a scrap quilt!! All the stuff I keep leaving behind!! That was my challenge and I didn't get it finished during the class last month. Yesterday I pulled it out to finish it, got the final 4 blocks made with an off-triangle corner added, and put them together so there was a star in the center, laid out the 4 4-block panels... and said yuck. Today I'll be cutting it all up to make this lovely quilt in your video. Can't wait to see the results! Thank you for inspiring me and making me smile:)

As a finished piece it looked like it must have been so complicated to get all the square together in the center. And then as I watched the whole process I was just blown away. What a wonderful pattern, and thank you for making free until September!

Thank you so much for another great (and fun) video that gives us permission to just have fun and don't worry about being "perfect". I like that you don't apologize if you need to "fudge" (like on your borders) and just keep going. I love the border because it adds so much interest. Can't wait to see what you do next. You are so inspirational to me :)

I am also going to make them for my night stands...I would have never thought of that...thanks for the great idea. I haven't sewed anything yet with tiny squares. I am excited about getting started. Your encouragement about sewing as accurately as you can and not worrying about if it is not perfect is what made me decide to do this. Also, as you said the more you make the better it will be. I absolutely LOVE your quilting attitude (because I share it). I make quilts for loved ones and good friends, learn something new with each one and very much enjoy the process. I read somewhere there was a quilter's motto "If it looks okay as you're riding by on a galloping horse, it's okay. " Too wordy. I like your condensed version much better; takes less time to say and conveys the message perfectly. Thank you for sharing your expertise! ......and for making me laugh. It's the BEST medicine, and let's face it, if you're making a quilt, big or little, at some point, maybe several points, you'll probably NEED a piece or two of candy and a laugh.
