I love this idea so much. It’s both a scrap quilt and not. I imagine myself cutting all of the blocks needed to make a quilt from solid varieties of one color and then just adding any scraps along the way. Leaders. A couple thrown in at the beginning or end of a sewing session until I have used all of the solid blocks. Oh I love this idea. Thank you for sharing.
Love your little tricks - these are the kind of pearls of wisdom my mum used to tell me to help me remember things - I am new to your channel and I SO enjoyed this video!! Going to spend a happy afternoon binge watching your channel! ❤
Thank you for your tips on how to pin together and to press each row. I’ll be doing this on everyone of my quilts going forward. Please keep making more videos. I ❤❤❤❤❤ them.
🥰 Keep Rocking 🤙 the good stuff 👍 Beautiful person 😉 May the 🖖 continue with your creative energy travels zen faith family 🐇🕊️💚🙏💜🐦🪺🌳 🤗 thanks for connecting with us UA-cam family 🌞
Thank you again for sharing another wonderful tutorial using scraps! Your videos are always so inspiring and wonderful…. I love your bed quilt and I can’t wait to see what you do next!!
That looks so insanely cozy. I can’t get over it. ❤🥰 I’m about to prep a Christmas version of this with my holiday scrap fabric. Thanks for the inspiration.
This is a wonderful idea! I am going to read down through the comments to see what other variations folks are doing. Thank you for sharing your idea. Love it. This is like a vintage quilt that would have been made to use up scraps.
I love this video! Now I know how to make not-so-ho-hum half square triangle blocks and the fact I’m using up my crumbs is a plus. The best tip of all I feel was how you sew your blocks together. With your method, I’m marking just one block. Before, I would make slips for R1B1, R1B3, R1B5, etc., “R” meaning “row” and “B” meaning block. With a 7x7 quilt, I’m writing on 28 slips of paper and pinning them when all I could have done was write on 7! And then your tip about odd and even-game changer! Thank you so much for a wonderful video.
This is my 3 rd video. Your tips sewin together makes so much since. I don’t know why I never thought to pin. I get so confused at this stage. Thanks so much
Beautiful quilt ❤. Congratulations. Thank you for sharing your tips. Your mind works like mine. If I don’t pin my rows together it never works!! I have learned a lot from you. 🎉
Thank you for showing us how to do this in such a fun, calm and uncomplicated way, wrapping us into your secrets. I feel I now would like to do a little quilting ...and I have watched umpteen videos and felt intimidated by all! So hear goers....!
I absolutely love watching your videos. Our minds must think exactly the same because every one of your tricks has simplified my sewing life so much. You are creative, organized and fun to listen to and your works of art are inspiring. Have a very Merry Christmas in your home so beautifully decorated with all your treasures. 😊🇨🇦
I'm making the beige version for my son. I'm using 2.5" squares so I can use jelly rolls. I'm also using EPP, and sewing 4 little blocks by 4 little blocks to make a bigger block. It goes together pretty fast.
Thank you 🙏 I was waiting for another post from you lol I love your ideas and approach and you have so so helped me get back into quilting, so thank you and love your channel
