Thank you so much. I have a 07 pt cruiser Limited and I just bought a exhaust tip and now I know how to put it on after watching your video. I will follow your steps and install it this week before Christmas
Its not about how to install it its more on how it looks and the review of the product and to maybe hear how it works. Im sure we know how to install it but we just want to know if its worth installing.
Great tip about spraying inside BLLAAAACKK. Makes it look a larger exhaust from a distance. My tip points down but you can buy the tips to fit this without sawing away. I love the butt-hurt responses about power. Some of us can't afford real deal exhausts but still want to make our cheap cars look a bit more respectable and easier in the eye than a black pea-shooter. We're aware there is no extra power or sound enhancement. Leave the power gain jokes to Mighty Car Mods. My car is a blue turd but it's my cheap, blue turd and I want to make it look a bit nicer from a distance. I'm not interested in racing you children off the lights. Modding should be encouraged, regardless of budget instead of mocked. We're not all so lucky to afford the good stuff should maybe be a bit more humble. Knob-heads.
Instead of dumping deadly gases at the tip, you allow them to escape at the muffler outlet. You used to have a tight outlet. On this car its no big deal but it seems like some disclaimer iis appropriate for other cars.
Louder * Also no one clicked to see louder exhaust. If they did they’ll search it up. The video demonstrated how ti change the look of tip of the exhaust.
@@pplett8238 no it wont, to alter sound u have to get all new piping whether that means wider pipes (i wouldnt go over 3-4 inches cuz that alone is just a dick move other people around u) or a new muffler or even a muffler delete, exhaust tip wont alter sound tho
Thank you! Very informative. I now can do it myself! Great tip about spraying black BUT you need to use HIGH HEAT spray paint so it does not blister. I sanded with 100 grit sandpaper and sprayed my end of muffler silver then added the part. You guys are so nice to make videos!
BlondeExplorer1 you really don't need to use a high heat, a regular cheap paint will work trust me my trucks exhaust has had it for months and looks fine. the high heat is for motor, ect. exaust doesn't get that hot.
I've had a hard time attaching the tip to the muffler pipe. I haven't been able to wrench it on tight. I have a 2" wide tailpipe. This style of clamp that you have on your tip doesn't seem good.
I know this is old but the black spray paint is a nice touch. I just order one for my Honda and I think I will paint the inside of mine too. Makes it look stock and not so shiny "new" looking.
Nice vid, I have 2006 Nissan quest se, I want to ask you question about the rear sliding doors. The rear sliding doors on mine rattle when I drive over bumps. Does yours do the same thing? And is their a fix for it?
Mine doesn't, but it could be a loose clip or loose panel along the edge that could be causing it. My passenger side panel actually came loose several times. I ended up using RTV silicone to glue it on. Bit of an overkill but it's on good. The only way to diagnose noise is to have a person drive and a person put their ear to it and listen. It's a tedious method.
@@alexw4225 maybe not in the level of noise but it could definitely make a difference in the tone of the sound. Imagine a 2” tip on a diesel truck V.S. a 4” tip. One will sound different pitch.
That paint will not stick to Stainless for long. You need to scuff it, and chemical etch it first for it to last. I advise viewers to look up how to paint stainless. That is the difference between "getting it done" and GETTING IT DONE RIGHT
Done this to my sazuki for just $12:00.and Aldo put a come filtre and a intake duct for $25:00 .best crappy nos Av seen Haha am turning into a ricer lol
Wot will be the mileage then ? I brought one and installed on my new grand i10 but i didn't cut the end. I fixed tight. I have a doubt.Does it cause any problem ? Pls reply fast
Ok i respect you want to change the look of your car, everyone wants to look nice even those of us bringing our kids to the shopping centre or school. But a nice shiny exhaust tip, just doesn't go well with a rusty muffler. If you invested just a tiny bit more, you could have put that beauty of a tip onto a nice shiny muffler and it would look alot sharper... on your minivan...
Only way it would change the sound is if its enough to move sound further back our outward. For example my 1992 Corvette pipes end before the bumper so if I dont put tips on it that are long enough the interior resonance will be louder and more annoying.
This is probably a silly question, but, I'm going to ask it anyway. The original tailpipe to my car dropped off a couple of weeks ago; so, I've been looking into covering up the replacement tail pipe with a new tip. I was wondering if it was/is safe to place the new tip evenly with the existing tailpipe (so that you have to REALLY look for the existing tailpipe to notice any difference) without causing any issues with back pressure? THANKS!!

I'm just impressed there's almost a million views on how to install exhaust tip wow people don't know how to install this

while u were down there did u change out all the muffler bearings?
Thanks for your Video, I just finish putting the Muffler Tip on my 2007 Nissan Quest S and I just follow your instructions. Thanks again. Marcos

Just to add this; mostly they are either douche bags with no knowledge and only money or otherwise kids with not even a license 🤷🏻♂️
Lol! Same here just something to look nice ! Not looking for a drag race at the light. I’m not about that life lol !!
Thanks for the great tip on cutting and also painting the inside black! Saves me a lot of time cleaning and trying to make it fit tomorrow lol!
Do you have to cut off the pipe? Im driving Nissan qashqai 2012 diesel

To anyone wanting a loader exhaust you need to change the whole backbox not just the tip

the exhaust will turn the inside of your tip black anyway.....
the darker the better i guess

Michael McCracken it’s meant to reduce rust buildup
Tyler Petro yes it does because paint and oil prevents rusting

OK and thanks for the really fast reply
I think I took a bit long for you cause when you finished it was almost dark and it was so genius to spray black inside that tip. Thanks for sharing
+Kia Kami Thanks for your comment!
does the fact that now the exhaust points backwards vs downwards: does it sound louder or quieter??
It will sound louder if pointed at the ground, the noise will resonate off the ground.
it looks a lot better than the factory one. It looks stock. The black inside was a nice touch.
Perfek man, u help me save a couple of bucks.... 🎉🎊
I am still trying to find out. Thanks for the tutorial man...
How much horsepower power did you gain

did u come here for the MEGALOVANIA?
thank you so much for posting this video
The bigger question will those tips fall on the road while you're riding or would they get loose
You need to really tighten those screws that clamp the muffler pipe. if you do that, then it will not fall off.
MUCH better looking
How do you fix it if starts to shake too much , tighten it still won’t help cause it’s gonna shake still and make noisw
Looks so much better.
Lee Thao Thanks!
Do these go right through the exaust?? Or just hold it on?
Quinn Giles It clamps onto the exhaust pipe at the end.
thanks man!
Saves my day. Thx 👍
Well done
Thanks!

do you have to make holes in the muffler to put in the exhaust tip or do you just bolt it in really tight
+Chance Stork Bolt it tight onto the muffler pipe. No drilling
Use a condom and put it in the exhaust tip, go slow and grease the sides so you can have nice time filling the hole

So whats the point of the muffler then if it doesnt make it louder? Just to look better I suppose?

Nice job 👍🏼👍🏼. I’m going to buy mine from Amazon and change the ugly factory
You should use primer...
perfect
something to do if the exhaust tip and the muffler are the same sizes?
For vanity, you have now created bi-yearly maintenance point, a new rattle point, and integrity loss in your pipe. But it does look much nicer.
What do i do if maybe my tip would be a little too big for by bumper?

did you rivet it on or does it require a torque wrench?
Three point clamps, twist/tighten down
