I think the biggest difference is going to be the size of exhaust the full length and the manifold you have. I was trying to find information on the effects that tips have on sound, and really the only thing I could find was that the thinner the metal, the raspier and more tinny sounding it would be. And the thicker the wall the deeper, and the bigger the diameter the deeper it will be as well. There are just a lot of combinations, especially when you get into stacks.
so why didnt he talk about the main reason we put tips on.. the tone man, how are the different tones? the only reason you put a tip on is for looks and for sound, nothing else
When i installed my magnaflow the tip came turndown i don't like it... Is there a bolt on tip that makes it look like it's coming straight out....or would i have to cuttoff the tail pipe until straight
My factory exhaust tip is 5” at the widest end then going toward the truck tapers down onto a 3” pipe....so where would it be cut to add a different tip and what size do I get?? It’s a 2021 GMC Sierra Durmax turbo diesel ...... thank you
does an exhaust tip change the sound at all? I would think not. but just wondering.
Some people claim that they hear a difference with a tip versus non, but everyone is different. I don’t hear a sound difference.
George Johnson if you have an exhaust tip thats bigger than your exhaust, take it on and off while your truck is running. You'll hear the difference.
Bro o I don't have a tip to mess with. was wondering. might fab something to play with if I like it I will buy one.
Bro o 100% correct. Me and my brother did this. Definitely a difference

Don’t put more than just the tip in, or they will fall in love.

Is it better to weld a tip in?? If so do you think in your opinion to cut the tip then weld it in?? Help. Thanx
Bolt on is better. Most of our popular tips are offered as a bolt-on option.
I want to get one for my 03 Highlander cause the stock tip is all rusty looking. The problem is that it's slightly pointed down. Any recommendations?
Can you tell a difference between the 15 inch and the 18 inch length? I’m stuck between the two for an 8 inch.
Same
i do see some of them have small holes at inner side of dual wall exhaust tip, do those holes reduce the noise of the exhaust?
Will tips make a difference if you have a straight pipe only and no tips or muffler at all
No difference other than looks.
You forgot tips with baffles. .🧐🧐
Any idea why turndown tips are louder and deeper than the angle cut? Thanks
It's the way the sound resonates off the surface of the ground(if turned down)... you'll likely get a deeper tone with less reverberation
Peyton Manning discussing exhaust tips then the UA-cam channel logo - yup!
As avid Kentucky fans we resent being compared to a Tennessee quarterback.
What size exhaust tip fits a 5 inch exhaust? Can anyone help?
5” inlet tip
Anyone know the best (loudest tip) to add on a Ford Focus ??

What about sound? which ones or which size has better sound? Or does it matter?
I do not think the different designs have different sounds. Others say different, to me it is not noticeable.
Tawk about how day maid
I have a ford edge sport, which tip do you guys recommend?
Did you ever find one? And if so which one
Exhaust tips are made for selling them, only one who will benefit from it- seller, marcetolog
So much talk but no sound comparison? Why buy if no sound enhancement?
Idk why anyone would laugh about this because I know I’ve seen a bunch of trucks with goofy ass looking exhaust tips.
I just went on your website you barely have any tips
You might have been in the wrong section? Try this: www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/products/performance/exhaust/exhaust-tips/

Diesel rice
Mark Rich you have that right. nothing against exhaust systems but the tips are rediculous.
So basically people at shows consult your business for the two most pointless things: shirts and exhaust tips.
You from the south?
ish
Can’t trust ANYONE who uses superchips. You know how 90s cringy bully dog and superchips is? Why?!?!?
Might as well just "bolt on" a trash can because most of these are f#@!ing pointless.
Waste of time. Really thought there some useful info per the title. Wrong
You're wrong. Mama's right
Rolled end tips sounds like shit
Very good captain obvious. Does a black finished pipe come in black?
What do you recommend for louder sound?
I don’t know that the tips will make them louder per se, but the dual wall are what customers tell us sound the best.
