They really tapped into a Sgt. Pepper's/Beatles-esque sound with this tune. And did so admirably.

“Shout” “Break It Down Again” and “Women in Chains” by Tears For Fears are also great. I love how you found Tears For Fears. Such a great group. “Woman in Chains” came out 32 years ago today is what the band posted on Facebook.
Head over Heels is my favorite by them. They have many good ones but all you hear is Shout or Everybody Wants To Rule The World.
_Mad World_ is better than those songs.

You two are like the song, bright optimism and looking for the best- in the songs, in each other as a couple…omg you two have been a bright spot I go to during these past few crazy years! This song was inspirational when I was 17 in Oakland, you two are inspiration at 49 in Chicago.
This album by Tears for Fears was hailed at the time as a second Sgt Peppers Lonely Heartsclub Band album. My favorites are "Advice for the young at hearts" and "Womain in Chains" with Oleta Adams on vocals (check out here first album and her song "Get Here", fantastic voice).
The Beatles would be very shock and glad for this song!

The girl in the video is his wife Caroline who is now deceased. They bought a beautiful cottage and had two little boys and outside their cottage was a sunflower plaque on the wall just like in the video. So I hope you see this and like the story behind it.

Tears for fears only released 3 studio albums in the eighties, they are still touring and are universally respected. Check tgeir debut album, The Hurting.
Besides some songs by Oasis, this is the most Beatle-like song I’ve ever heard and probably the most complete. Those who aren’t familiar with The Beatles’ music won’t notice but to the rest of us it’s right in our faces. An amazing accomplishment.

If your of a certain age you will instantly recognize the influence of the Beatles and in particular the Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album.
Nobody ever got closer to the sound of the Beatles it’s screaming out at you in this truly remarkable track.

Glad you enjoyed TFF. Please tell me you listened to the first 3 songs on the Sowing album. Woman In Chains, Bad Man's Song, and "Sowing" are an amazing trio. The first two feature Oleta Adams as a duet partner to Roland O. Bad Man's Song is an amazing arrangement.

I agree. Love and acceptance and the willingness to be open to others is the key. On a side note, my life's philosophy/understanding has always been "every human is fucked up to some degree (there are no exceptions). The best and the worst thing you can possibly think of has probably already happened, or is happening right now. That's humans." We just need to understand and accept that (as horrible or great as it is), but any act that is harmful/against any person's will should be made accountable and judged accordingly. Well, that's just my 2 cents worth! Woah! that was a bit of an intense comment for a music video reaction, but I stand by it (and I may be slightly drunk)! Great reaction guys. xx (sub'd)
