- After so many years I finally wanted to update my Top10 BEST IFV - Fighting Vehicle in the world list made in 2015 but this time with more details!
I separated the list in WHEELED and TRACKED vehicles (I'll do the same for the APC list of course) and added the specifications on video!

The Puma is the only tank in this list that can programm shells fully automatically with an electromagnetic impulse with an device at the end of the barrel. So if an high explosive shell leaves the barrel its detonation distance is programmed without tve crew has to do something

In first place the IFV is based on a tank(like NAMER), which makes it more armored - the puma will not withstand shells as well as the T15
K21 and CV90 are most cost-effective IFV! Both of them have proper specs, and proper cost.
Especially, K21 can up-gun 105mm and 120m, so it can be used as Light-tank.
Yep, and the CV-90, can take, 30 mm, 35 mm, 40 mm, 105 mm, 120 mm, and the Dangerous one, two long barrels firing 120 mm , standard and not standard mortar shells, longer than , a standard mortar, in a way, 12-14 shells are going buoouum at the same time on the same target. CV 90 AMOS. ( Don't worry about it, if you drive a T-14, He he he he).
don't need 120mm gun if you can have 150mm Spike missile ;)
No..K21 can't replace tank. It's armor protection is not enough to replace tank. K21 can destroy the tank but it is still IFV.
South Korean may offer 105mm & 120mm version of K21 for other country but South Korean Army will never employ it as the light tank.
Russian vehicles can up-gun 125mm too.

From point of View of cool , i like IT all, but practicaly 1 kurganet-25, 2 Namer based in Merkava ,3 Puma ,4 T-15 armata but only survive working after is hit by a mbt once from 1kilometer, only by cost and a very good protection will be turkish Tulpar with just 1.2 milion dollars could buy with just 100 millions dollars an army.

The AS21 has increased armor and eliminated water from the K21, and has the ability to modularly replace antitank missiles and anti-aircraft missiles with multi-options.

Turkish one cost $1.2 million, German 12 million. Huge difference in cost. Unknown difference in effectiveness. However, since you can buy ten times as many Turkish Tulpar's for the same money as one German Puma, I would think that you could be much more effective with so many more Turkish Tulpar's
Actually it's not so, if you consider the cost of the machine alone maybe yes, but for every machine you have to consider the crew, maintenance and so on. If you can achieve a better result with less of them is better :)

great vehicles ,,they do not have a flap on the sides to protect soldiers when they come out ,or has the vehicle advancers,a flap mounted on the side ,on a pivot would protect the soldier ,perhaps a flap 6 foot long with rifle slots,this would also give the vehicle extra protection

Why is the ASCOD 2 so low on the list? I mean it beat the cv90 in the FRES programm. OK this also had to do with the requierments like big payload capacity for example but they both have similar protection, firepower and mobility.

Compare the costs of BMP-3 to Kurganets-25 to Turkish Tulpar: Something is wrong!
Stats for the Warrior are wrong. The weapons are a 30mm RARDEN cannon and a Hughes helicopter 7.62mm chaingun. They are considering updating to a 40mm cannon and a new turret over the next few years to extend the life of the vehicle.
I think you need to update your informations :)
The new gun is not in "consideration" but the contract was awarded in 2004 and the first MTIP Warrior delivered in 2006.....12 years ago! :D
The extend life program (called WCSP) to extend the warrior life until 2040was awarded in 2011 by Lockheed Martin, also this time, many years ago :)

I would like a tank that has a turret that can move up and down the centre length of the vehicle and also be able to turn 360 degrees no matter what position.
the turret of most modern day tanks are susceptible to be struck when turning to re position on a new fire line 'a sitting duck'

The German one cost 12 million? The average was 3 to 6 million for the rest, this seems way to expensive. One of them only cost 1.2 million and it was way inside the top 10. Plus the Russian version is way to new to be number 1, you should be going on battle tested,service,cost,men carried,armour,speed! Not the newest and who has the biggest gun! That's what tanks are for, these should be quick with good armour and a light weapon with plenty of room for at least 8 fully armed soldiers that can be deployed at the front or behind enemy lines then the vehicle makes a quick exit.
The German IFV cost is under discussion with German people, with the new information it seems the price is cheaper (maybe around 8M) but difficult to find out.

The video you're showing for ZBD-04 is wrong. The parade one is ZBD-04a, but the one passing through obstacles is called ZBD-03, which is a light IFV intended for paratroopers.

It looks like the Israeli IFV is based on the Merkava 3 or Merkava 4 hull since it's well sloped and it's 60 tons.
But so is the T-15

Yes the Namer is a modified merkava hull (4th gen usually) with just a different turret. It's really not so much different from merkava but it's best role is the APC one (in that list will be higher)
TheDarthDesigner It just needs a better engine. By the way can you modify your specifications slightly? I mean you should display the engine also in horsepowers.
To be fair I usually use the international system only but I think for the engine I can do an exception.
My only doubt is...if I change that parameter showing both systems other people will ask me to change everything else too?

But for the engine I prefer horsepower too because is more common even in countries that follow the IMS

Good video, I think the BMP 3 may were in a higher place, is the best armed IFV, the basic BMP-3 had 18 tons the lowest weight between all of the vehicles of the list, the modernized BMP-3 had 23 tons that you say, but the modernized BMP-3 added the kaktus ERA package that can withstand 30 mm autocannon all around the vehicle, also can withstand rpg shots and light cannons shots.
Without adding weight instead the other vehicles, if you add weight you add cost of operation.
The BMP-3 has one of the lowest cost per unit only had about 1.500.000$, the basic BMP-3 800000$ without being modernized.
The BMP-3 is one the best tracked IFV in the world.

Tank Puma germany bagus juga laras meriam menggunakan stabiliser konstan walaupun tank nya bergerak bebas, berarti tank dalam keadaan bergerak bebas dapat langsung menembak target dengan keakurasian yaang tinggi. Tank puma ini sulit jadi sasaran tembak karna bergerak untuk bertahan dan bergerak untuk menyerang. Bagus sekali konsepnya.
The Puma is incredibly cool but the price can buy you 2 t-15's and you would still save money

Warriors don't have 40mm cannons yet. That's still in testing. It's still a 30mm pea shooter. We can fire 3 rounds then have to reload another 3 or 6 rounds then a full reload which takes much longer. Meanwhile the Americans can spit the same rounds out of a mini gun mounted to an airplane haha

I play music only when the original video have commentary or a copyrighted music actually, when possible I always leave the original sound. Not only it's easier for me to make the video (less work) but even better...the sound of the machine is much better than music

Yes it's a very good one this IFV, the altay unfortunately doesn't seem to follow this line.It's not bad or good neither :S
TheDarthDesigner as i know altay is more heawy armored version of k2(k2 has 6 track, altay has 7 for extra weight) and aiming system is good enough too(it will use active protection systems too) i think altay is goingto be good(altay has not aouto loader for extra ammunution and for less chance of ammorack)
but i know its didnt tested on any war , because of that we cant say anything . but i think its goingto be better than k2 (k2 is a rly good tank)
Cihat Keles That is yet to be seen. Turkey should modify their ALTAY design because it doesn't look so modern right now to me. On my opinion in order for a tank to be in the top 5 it needs to be a whole new generation or a whole new innovative design or a platform. Just like the T-14. If not then the Merkava 4. Designs like T-72, M1 Abrams, T-80 and so on are modified to modern standards so they can keep up next to the modern warfare. Not the best tanks and not all of them surpass the top 5 but still effective enough. However the current ALTAY design is also a modification of another tank from another country. Turkey needs a whole new tank platform to keep up with the top 5 tanks.

ZRB BG yes i understand you :) but its impossible . turkey have not ever builded any kind of tank . turkey has not any knowledge about tanks , turks can not build any platform(for now). because of that turks used korean k2 to build their own tank , think it like a helper map . turks builded altay but its based on k2 (nearly %90-95 of tanks is diffrent, but they have %5-10 same systems) altay is based on k2 and altay is more modernized/changed version of k2(k2 is one of the worlds best tanks)

The namer offers the same protection of Merkava and the ERA is part of it just like the TROPHY APS. (from 2016 if I remember well)

Поправка. "Армата" - это название унифицированной боевой платформы, а не наименование единицы техники. Всё таки, ставить Т-15 в один ряд с Курганцем, Бредли или Пумой не правильно. Т-15 по бронированию является больше танком, чем БМП.
а ставить видео "парадных проходок" в один ряд с полевыми испытаниями, нормально??)))

$12 million for the German one, $1,2 million for the Turkish, is it really 10 times better, or would one be better off with 10 times more IFV by buying the cheaper.
The Tulpar does not even have Anti-tank missile so it can not fight heavy tanks. At least the Puma can be fittet with Anti-tank missiles to destroy heavy tanks, which the Tulpar can not do. The Tulpar would be completely useless against enemy heavy tanks.
Also, the Puma has much better protection with heavy ERA. The Tulpar does not have any side protection at all, it could not even survive a direct RPG hit. While the Puma can survive multple direct RPG and even missile hits, whereas the Tulpar would be destroyed immediately.
If you want to have an effective vehicle that can protetc and support the infanrty, buy the Puma.
If you want to have a useless vehicle that can not survive a RPG hit (and loses many soldiers), buy the Tulpar.
It's your choice
Also the price in this video is not correct, it's more like 6-8 million (which is still expensive but not as much as in the video)
In all out warfare cheaper was ultimately better, since even your 10x better tank usually can't take on 10 tanks.
@@MsSomeonenew There will not be another all out war like WW2 again because nuclear weapons. Today a modern tank can easilly take out 10 outdated tanks. Look at the gulf war 1991. A few Abrams and Challengers destroyed hundreds of tanks without a single loss. The Tulpar doesn't even have missiles so it can not destroy a tank. The Puma does have missiles so it can destroy enemy tanks. Also the Tulpar is very weak armored, so it can not survive a RPG or missile hit, it will be destroyed after the first hit and the soldiers dead. The Puma has very good protection with heavy armor so it has a good chance to survive multiple RPG and missile hits and keep on fighting. The Puma can take out many Tulpas but the Tulpar can not take out a single Puma.
@@MsSomeonenew Germany already has 250 Puma plus 100 more are being built this year. And how many Tulpars Turkey has? Only one single prototype LOL! Turkey is poor country it can never outproduce Germany! Turkey still uses most tanks from Germany Leopard tanks! Because Turkey has no own tank production. The Altay will only start in 2021! lol

По мне так нужно сравнивать то что приняли и есть на вооружении, прототипы и то что испытывают, как то тупо сравнивать, с тем что уже испытано и состоит на вооружении, вполне логично прототипы сравнивать с прототипами. Взять допустим армату, она ещё сырая и проходит испытания, и не известно сколько ещё лет пройдёт пока её начнут выпускать для армии. Показали только на параде и всё, нет ни каких видео испытаний в полевых условиях.
Если я соберу с фанеры БМП и напишу что там супер пупер характеристики, что он и летает и под водой ездит, и стреляет, то что он будет в топе всех БМП в мире)))?
