- New Top10 about IFV ! The Infantry Fighting Vehicles is an armoured combat vehicle which is designed and equipped primarily to transport a combat infantry squad, which is armed with an integral or organic cannon of at least 20 millimeters calibre and sometimes an antitank missile launcher."
IFVs are distinct from armoured personnel carrier, which are purely transport vehicles armed only for self-defense and not intended to provide direct fire support. IFVs also often have improved armour and some have ports which allow the infantry to fire personal weapons while on board.

Just took a close look at the Pumas turret front and realized how much it looks like a pz 2 with the offset Gun etc I'm sure that was on purpose looks pretty good and it's a pretty cool throw back.

BMPT-72 terminator II is considered as a IFV.. so it really should be first in this list.. because have the highest firepower among all of mentioned vehicles (2x 30mm 2A42 autocannons + 4x 130mm Ataka-T launchers) also it have the best armor due to T72 chasis so composite armor + steel + ERA.. so it is basically a T72 tank with changed turret.. so.. all of mentioned IFVs dont have a chance to destroy this thing unless they dont have ATMs or ATGMs.. maybe from a side but it is still not certain.. and this thing can kill every vehicle from the list due to Ataka rockets..
Nice. Think maybe about adding technical and tactical characteristics into the video (like production start year, armament and equipment, crey, speed, infantry capacity, main purpose, etc.), so we'll be able to compare those vehicles.

@@angeloparaiso19 Well, IFV are AFV too. Rooikats are "tank destroyer vehicle" a type of AFV specialized on fighting Tanks but on 8x8 wheels,lightly armored and very mobile.

The American version, M2A3, should be very low on the list. Extreme cost of development, and many other problems, one of which is that if the cannon is fired, the missile tracking is thrown off. Watch the movie, "The Pentagon Wars" for just a small example of what went on in its development and expense.

I support Tulpar as a Turk but The BMP 3 , Puma and CV90 are adorable too. BMP has a big firepower, so like this. CV 90 has too with a 40 mm Bofors by several fire modes. Puma is technically perfect I guess.

I'm not saying it's wrong, by any means. Just pointing it out :v . I think it portrays the culture, around weapon designs in some countries, are seen. In germany, they see them as slick, built for the kill machines, that match natural instinc (that's why the Feline names). In Russia, they all have very technical, descriptive names, like BTR, or BMP, which are basically what the vehicle exactly is in Russian, abbreviated. In USA, they pay a huge respect to their veterans and generals, with their names Abrams, Bradley, Sherman, Pershing, Patton

Most Russian field artillery guns (except for atomic guns and mortars) named after flowers: 2S5 Giatsint-S (hyacinth), 2S4 Tyulpan (tulip), 2S7 Pion (peony). Air defense systems named after rivers: Neva, Dvina, Shilka, etc. MLRS named after weather: Grad (hailstorm), Tornado (tornado lol), Smerch (hurricane). Just like in Germany, nature and stuff. On the other hand most Russian ships and some planes have unique names of famous vets and generals, just like in the US. So it's an international thing actually.

Для БМП главное мобильность и огневая мощь. По огневой мощи БМП-3 вне конкуренции. И то что она плавающая - огромный плюс к мобильности.
И ставить в общий ряд гусеничные и колёсные образцы было немного не корректно.

Please include: 1. Number of soldiers it can carry, 10 to 11 for one squad, or, 6 for a fire team. 2. Total realistically possible range without refueling. 3. If in NATO militaries, any ammunition cross utilzation capabilities. So allied units could readily share ammunition as needed.

Из преимуществ - подвижность, плавучесть, высочайшая, среди конкурентов, огневая мощь.
Из недостатков - слабое бронирование, ужасные условия обитаемости, невозможность безопасного десантирования.
Аналогов то конечно нет, машина во многом уникальная. Как по достоинствам, так, к сожалению, и по недостаткам.

БМП-3 выиграла тендер и поступила на вооружение армии ОАЭ в количестве более 600 машин. Лобовая броня выдерживает попадания снарядов калибром 30 мм с дистанции 200 метров. Крыша и борта выдерживают пулю Б-3 калибром 12,7 мм с дистанции 100-200 метров. Подобно танкам оборудован системой защиты экипажа при действиях в условиях ядерного удара. Десантирование бойцов хоть через открывающиеся створки крыши, хоть через двери. Юрий Остапец Прежде чем писать "блистать умом", лучше почитать, посмотреть и узнать. Видимо кто то сверху писавший про "ужасные условия обитаемости" не знал что в БМП-3 туалет, а ресурс позволяет сделать бросок от Уральских гор до Ла Манша.

Санитарный комплект красивым словом "туалет" можно назвать с большой натяжкой. Точнее туалетом придется назвать весь обитаемый объем машины. Он там предусмотрен не ради условий обитаемости, а ради того самого пресловутого "броска к ЛА-Маншу" по зараженной местности. Комфорту, возможность пробздеться в герметичном ящике, в котором помимо тебя еще несколько человек, вряд-ли способствует.

Выход десанта один: над МТО, для чего одних "дверей" мало, еще и крышу приходится открывать, т.е. и "двери" и верхние створки, а никак не "хоть то, хоть то" И желательно выползать, а не выходить, что бы башку поверх башни не отстрелили. Особенно "продумано" десантирование двух бедолаг, которые в носу сидят: то ли через люки экипажа выныривать, то ли через места экипажа во вращающемся БО выползать в десантное отделение, в любом случае непонятно куда должен деться сам экипаж, что бы их пропустить.
Про броню тут вы сами все написали: 30мм в лоб башни - это предел. В лоб корпуса (а это и есть 80% фронтальной проекции) даже это не обеспечено. Про остальные проекции можно не говорить. Большинство современных БМП - БТР защищены лучше. А защита от ОМП к броне отношения не имеет вообще.
