It was very impressive. Unfortunately that’s not the knock on him though. Everyone knows his raw ability is insane, but his decision making and ability to read a defense is what’s stopping him from being an elite prospect.

Dustin Crum throws the deep ball exceptionally
He was a top QB heading into 2021 NCAAF season, but was seen as a down year for him (Even though he won MAC player of the year)
This might be the most underrated class in years but even he’s not my favorite but guys don’t sleep from Desmond Ridder
I am glad Dusty got some flowers in this, he is being completely overlooked as a prospect. Do not sleep on him.

Malik Willis and Kenny Pickett are the clear 1 and 2 after that combine. I would feel pretty good to draft either one of them at the end of the first round.
Agreed. If my broncos draft either of them in the 2nd round, I will be excited. I don't think they are worth the 9th pick however

Someone is going to over value and trade up, always happens for QB's.

@@yyjohnny yeah I wouldn’t be thrilled about that. There were 5 QBs in last years draft that were significantly better prospects than Pickett. Broncos passed on 2 of them. It would be a waste of a top 10 pick to get a QB like Pickett who has a really low ceiling.

I'm intrigued by Malik Willis. He's very raw and will need seasoning, but on tape you can see what he could become in the right situation. I'm excited to see him in the NFL.

From Australia and i have only been getting into the NFL. But these kids the work they put in to be this level is admirable. But must agree with @Christian Crooms that ball Willis threw wow almost went to the moon!
Jeff George threw the best ball ever.
Seems that the NFL is getting some real traction over there, I see more Australians watching now than ever, the NFL doesn't make a big attempt to spread or expand like most sports so non-north american viewers aren't super common.

The combine is just a piece of the puzzle with any quarterback. Must remember that the nfl quarterbacks needs to read defense and pick the right receiver. Must watch tape on the quarterbacks that were impressive see if they were good in college.

I don't know how fair this combine it is to QB's 'cause every WR is on a high level. Willis and Picket are clearly the must polish of the group but Dustin Crum was a nice surprise, the rest looked too raw, from 3rd round to bottom.
Willis is not polished at all. I've been watching him all year. He's a work in progress. Kenny Pickett is polished. He's ready to start day one

Keep your eye on EJ Perry. He could be a Day 3 steal. Played really well in the East-West Shrine Game. Not the biggest, or strongest arm, but he's accurate, and has great pocket presence. Like a poor man's Brees in that way

this QB class isn’t weak in terms of talented, all these guys are very raw prospects with loads of talent, they just say it’s weak because the production wasn’t there, most of these QB’s didn’t have great seasons until their very last year

the people saying these aren't talented qbs only watch sec teams. these are the guys you want for franchise qbs. chip on their shoulder going to small colleges and they had success in college without 5 star talent all around them. Pickett and Willis make throws in tight spaces because of lack of receiver talent and they get after in the ground game. either one of these two would be great in pittsburg though i think the majority wants Pickett. his hand size doesnt matter at the end of the day that the only thing he has against em.

Ok I am sold on Willis now. After seeing those deep balls and the way it leaves his hand. Not only that I saw the video of what he did for that homeless man when he didn't know anyone was looking. That's the true measure of someone's character and he nailed it. I hope this kid lands in DC even if the team is a joke

@@DropTheBunny I have seen a lot of guys go through those drills and seen how they perform in the NFL. He had great arm strength and accuracy, and showed he had great character. There wasn't anything he did that was a cause for concern and he only made himself look better and in a draft class short on QB talent there is no way he makes it past pick 11 in Washington. Detroit, Houston, Giants, Carolina, Washington all need QB help and there are teams that will move up for a QB too. What are you actually talking about
@@blairpenny1526 Go back and read my comment. Throwing at the combine is easy. If you watch any film on him he doesnt go through his reads and bails quick. And he did that against weak competition. Im not saying he cant be coached up, but the hype around him is unreal. I guess its because this QB class is pretty weak.
Edit: The whole character incident with the homeless person; that was probably set up by his agent to get him good PR. May not have been, but you have to question it
@@DropTheBunny it looked pretty genuine to me but you are right it could be a set up but I don't recall anyone having questions about his character either but I might have missed that. You literally breezed over my point at the end there too. This is a pretty weak QB class and there are maybe 5 teams in the top 11 picks that might decide to take him and someone might move up. I have been watching the combine since the NFL network started airing it, I get that there is no rush but the same can be said about literally any drill they run. The WRs aren't being closely guarded when they run routes, don't get jammed at the line. RBs don't have to read blocks or break tackles/take hits there either. That's not what it's about. It's about getting to run them through the paces and get to know prospective players. He had great arm strength, and accuracy especially on those deep balls. Like you said the rest can be coached but you can't teach talent
@@blairpenny1526 I dont disagree he'll go in the 1st. Out of the teams you listed someone will grab him. Its a reach though. I get what theyre reaching for, the upside is there and you have to take that chance when you can. Everybody wants the next Josh Allen.

The 2017 draft class was considered a "weak" QB class which happened to have Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson. Who knows what could come of this crop.
Ridder is the best qb in this draft but a lot of guys impressed and they said this was a down year, lots of really athletic guys
